Gen had originally traveled to the town of Debon on his own and recently with two people that were in his life; one of them was the almsot always slouched and bestial Sojiro Sakura who he considered his brother and the other was Maxximus Akimichi, a man that he had taken as his pupil and a successor to the title of shield of the people. The three of them were a lot to handle when they were together but it wasn't something that anyone should be bothered by as they appeared like they were always having fun.
But, despite having traveled here together, they had been given a few missions. Originally the trio had worked together to start putting together the new fighting arena but, that was the day before, and today Gen had awoken with a new mission under the door of his room. At first he was expecting a note from Maxximus and almost would've preferred it, but instead it was a mission that would send him right back to the arena for the second day in a row.
As he walked around his room and started to get ready, there was an annoyed look on his face. He had gotten used to dressing himself with his more frail body after the DNA experiment but he wasn't really looking forward to doing manual labor like this. It wasn't that he was incapable but the workers would always give him a certain look, almost like he needed their help to even breathe. That only pissed him off, since he knew that he could easily take any of them with a single blow, his body wasn't back yet but he was still supernaturally strong somehow, as if the muscles didn't define him anymore.
As he would slide his feet into his geta, the man would let out a grunt as he prepared to take himself outside and into the world, the effort required to do so becoming less taxing with each passing day. It was a short walk down the hall and into the small town of Debon, a location that he was slowly growing to like as he spent some time around. It was like the villages but smaller and a lot more simple. As he came out onto the street, he found the sun was just starting to come up as the rays hit his eyes, causing him to raise his hand to protect his eyes.
He would finish walking down the street until he came to the incomplete arena, taking in the details as he couldn't really tell what the final design was going to be. Was it going to be a large Colosseum type area or were they going to create some type of new type of battlegrounds for them? The possibilities would race through his mind as he slipped forward through the large gates of the building until he would find the same foreman as yesterday, an older man with a bald head and large gray beard.
He would look Gen up and down, sure of the man's work ethic and having no issues telling him to get to work. Despite how frail and gaunt he appeared, a lot of what Gen was doing would be heavy lifting, showing the others that he was more than capable despite how his body looked the partial expansion technique helping him to increase his muscle mass when needed. As he would go to take large steel beams, it was an easy feat for him to grab the object and haul it onto his shoulder, taking it from the bottom floor and walking right up the side of the building to take it to the top.
Repeating this was more than an easy enough feature, until about twelve of these large, silver steel beams were resting in an even pile at the top. By the time he was done doing, the sun had already gone halfway across the sky and it was time for the men to start eating their lunch. Of course, instead of being told to eat lunch, he was told that he could leave since he had finished his part of the job. Despite the old man looking like he hoped he would stay, he would decide to leave so he could go explore the village some more and try as many donburi's as possible at the local food carts, his appetite voracious lately.
