It had been at least two weeks since the Sun Shinobi known as Sojiro Sakura had stumbled upon a dark conspiracy that was brewing within the village of Nikkousato. While he had been enjoying dinner with his father one night, there had been passing comments about how some of his coworkers and patients were speaking of missing children in the area. At first, Sojiro had simply started to look into the matter so that he could calm down his father and reassure him that nothing dark was going on in the village. Of course, it ended up being the exact opposite of that when he started to look closer. The young shinobi had decided to take a missing flyer to a home, where talking to the parents helped with nothing exactly getting an item with the child's scent on it. The black-haired shinobi spent his free time back in the village of Nikkousato trying to find and explore these dead ends, although all of the leads he found all ended up coming to dead ends. In his investigations, Sojiro had also decided to ask some of his friends for help. Kenji and Hikari had helped him on this investigation and were now as invested as he was, which helped take some of the huge amounts of stress off of his shoulders. Although, at the end of the day, they were still shinobi from the Moon village and he was going to be the person who made sure this was being followed up. So, today was another day that Sojiro had decided to head out into the slums and try to see what he could find regarding these missing children. The last time his friends were in town, they had found children's belongings in an abandoned building, so that was where he was going to start today.
Sojiro Sakura made sure to wear his usual attire, which consisted of a pair of black pants that stretched down to his mid-calves before stopping and meeting bare skin. As per usual, he didn't have anything to cover his feet and took to strolling around town barefoot. Covering very little of his upper body was his open Flak Jacket, that matched his pants in color and bore the symbol Nikkousato on the back. The front of the jacket was completely open, exposing his toned and evenly tanned body that was underneath. Both his Shinobi pouch and the windmill shuriken on his lower back in their usual spots, the white-clothed sword was even on his back today. After having found the hidden tunnel that led into a building before, Sojiro refused to let his guard down while he was going out to explore these missing children. So, as he slid into the depths of the slums again, he would keep his senses alert as he began to eye them for which he was going to go check out first.
The bestial youth had checked a few buildings over the last couple of days, so he decided the best course of action was to head near where he had left off yesterday. There were more buildings that he would've liked to admit were rundown in the slums area but, at the same time, it wasn't like they weren't being used. As Sojiro slipped in and out of the buildings, he ran into different people all the time; some of them just squatters, some hostile druggies, and some of them thieves on the run. Despite being a Shinobi, Sojiro was more likely to be kind to these people and not rat them out. It wasn't because he had some kind of nice heart or cared about these people or their problems but it was more likely to get them to talk. These people were doing their best to survive or had given up, and Sojiro respected those that deserved it while pitying the others. But, even with these people willing to talk to him and searching the buildings as thoroughly as he could... At the end of the day, he had as many leads as he did when he started; which was to say zero of them.
It was a pain in the ass and annoying but he tried not to tear himself apart because of this. He was doing as much as he could, he needed to remind himself of that...
