It had been a few days since Sojiro had traveled to the Barrens with Genkumaru so they could investigate the rumors of the legendary Executioner! For the longest time Sojiro Sakura had believed that the rumors were total crap, there was no way that some man who existed so many years ago left remains of his travels and exploits across the land. And there was no way in hell that people were finding these things and assuming they were all connected... That was, of course, until Sojiro had made his way through the area with Genkumaru and had found the ruins of a small town that had been ravaged by some attack. The two men had explored the area thoroughly, buildings had looked like they were cleaved through with a sword and the skeletons of people suggested they stood no chance. Some people had limbs removed, others had been pinned to walls by their own weapons, while others had simply been cleaved in half. It hadn't just stopped with adults, though, there were skeletons that belonged to children and animals as well. Genkumaru and Sojiro had decided that whoever, or whatever, had done this was some kind of devil or demon in disguise.
Even with them deciding on that, though, Sojiro couldn't help but try and find out more about what this man left behind. So, on the day before they had set out to head back home, Sojiro had decided to take some time out to do some solo hunting. He headed out wearing his pair of black pants, which stretched down to midway down his calves. To match, on his upper body there was a black Flak Jacket that he wore completely open in the front; exposing his tanned and toned body that was beneath it. Keeping his raven-black hair out of his eyes was his usual red bandana, a metal plate on the front that bore the symbol of the Sun Village, the same as the back of his jacket. On his left arm there was a leather gauntlet that had a compartment inside for various different poisons. On his lower back, there was his normal shinobi pouch, as well as his windmill shuriken that hung from him. On his back was a sheathed sword that was covered in a white cloth, purposely put upside down so that an underhanded draw was needed to remove the weapon, "Alright, Auggie, let's see if we can find anything."
Traveling with Sojiro currently was his companion, a Snow Bunny that rivaled the size of larger eagles, which would be flying around the man and keeping an eye out from above. Augustus Nibblus was mostly pure white in color, the tips of his ears, wings, and tail being tinted by black fur. Sojiro trusted the rabbit to keep an eye out for anything that could harm them as they moved back into the area they had been with Gen beforehand. Looking upon the destroyed town from afar, it was as stunning as it was the first time, so much pure destruction caused by a single person... But some deep, bestial part of him truly admired what he saw in front of him. The fact that a single man could do something like this but, on a list of features accomplished, this was one that had been forgotten to time? What could it mean for this man's actually claim to glory? His weapon... Yes, Sojiro would need to be the person to get this weapon, so that he could make this man eat his dirt. Sojiro may not be able to fight this man with all of his might but he would be able to make sure his legend was forgotten with his own...
After hours of searching, the truth of the matter was that there wasn't anything new in town. Sojiro had searched a few of the buildings that they had missed originally but they only yielded more bodies and destruction, absolutely no records or anything about what this town could've been. What a pain... As much as he didn't want to admit it, as interesting as this place was, it was a dead end. With a defeated sigh, he would leave the small town and head back to camp so he could meet up with Gen and head back to the sun village.
