The girl was just walking down the Gekkousato streets when suddenly she remembered that she had a second mission, the one that was delivered by that cute little messenger boy to the Hyuuga compounds. In her attempt to lure the group of penguins out of the village, she had forgotten all about the second mission. Stopping, Ami took out the scroll and for the first time, she would look at the mission details. Another one?! The girl struggled to comprehend why there were this many wild animals that were attacking or terrorizing people in her village and where they all came from. The young girl folded up the scroll and put it in her pocket, sighing heavily. She was probably going to have to kill the wild animals this time around, as she read the location as Lake Biwan from the scroll. It was rare not to have to eliminate animals living underwater because they posed threat to the human race, often taking them captive or killing them ruthlessly. She would return first to her compounds, to change into something easier to move in, before heading out again, heading straight for the lake.
Ami had chosen to wear a t-shirt and jeans, although not as flexible when moving, it was something she didn't mind getting wet, if she had dive underwater to fight whatever it was that was terrorizing people at the lake. She had also chosen to tie her pink hair with a red ribbon, and would be carrying only one katana in her right hand and her weapon pouch strapped to her left arm. Since acquiring her second katana, she rarely left on a mission with just one sword, feeling the need to have both her hands hold a weapon. But she also understood that while in the water, having both swords may not be a good thing, limiting the use of her hands for other things like handseals for jutsu. She would approach the lake with caution, her blue eyes looking at the calm water and reflecting on the last time she had been here...with Jayy. It seemed like such a long time ago even though it had only been a week or two, but so much had happened within these two weeks. They had fought an octopus of sorts, a nasty creature that ate a child, if her memory served her correctly. She wondered whether the animal that was causing havoc was one of the offspring of the octopus, recalling that it had been a mother.
Well...only time would tell...she thought to herself as she walked along the shore, her eyes glued to the lake to ensure she never missed even a slight movement. The girl would look around, head turned to from the waters on intervals to see if there were any other humans nearby. She didn't want a repeat of what had happened last time, especially if it meant a human sacrifice. If there were any children pr families nearby she would tell them to leave the area immediately. No one was going to die again, on her watch. Ami did a sweep of the shore, and satisfied that there was nobody else remotely close to the area, she chose a place to sit and wait for the creature. Instead of actively searching, she was going to wait for it to come to her, If it was a creature that longed for human flesh as prey, it would sense her sooner or later. The girl was far from worried and seemed to be perfectly content just waiting for her target, all the while watching the sun cast glitter-like rays on the water surface. It would probably be a full hour of her sitting and watching before any movement would be detected.
And then the quiet waters would be disturbed, as ripples began to form. Ami didn't react immediately, her hand tightly on grasping the hilt of her sword but still remaining seated in her spot. She wanted to know just what exactly she was dealing with. Soon the creature would show its face...a giant shark. No, not just one...there were at least three sharks that she could see, although she could tell that the other two were not as massive as the one that had showed its unappealing face to the Hyuuga. She had never fought sharks before but knew that they could be deadly creatures. One bite from that thing could take out her entire arm, or worse, could take her life. Ami would have to tread cautiously. She removed her blue contacts and put them gently in her contacts case, displaying her true lavender white eyes. Knowing that she would need the help of her kekkei gekkai, she stood up slowly, her hands coming together to form the string of handseals to the Hidden Mist jutsu. There was nothing more entertaining than taking the vision from her opponents and her targets, even if they were animals.
The pink haired girl would take the chance, as the mist began to cover most of the lake, to activate her Byakugan, giving her the sight into the sharks' chakra points. Perfect...the girl would stand and rush forward, jumping up as she neared the waters, her hand unsheathing her katana. She would bring her sword into a jab from up top, trying to catch the shark off guard. She would aim her blade at its stomach area, bringing her blade down viciously. Perhaps it was because the mist had caught the shark off guard, her sword sunk into his flesh, making a puncture wound. Acting on reflex, the shark would squirm, feeling the pain from her sword and also the weight of her body of its back. It would throw her into the deep waters as she tried to pull her sword out, plunging deep within the waters before she had a chance to regain her blade. As she tried to swim and get herself back up the water, the other two sharks would be on the move, perhaps noticing that the first one had been attacked. They would circle around her threatening. She would need to get her body out of the water quickly before risking her life to being shark bait.
The girl reached into her weapon pouch and threw two kunai in the direction of where the sharks were swimming around her, one connecting to a shark's midsection and the other missing the second one's face by an inch. She would swim to the first shark, trying to get close enough so that she could ride on its body again. She wanted her blade back. Ami would swim close to it, her movements careful and slow so as to not startle it. As she reached within distance, the girl would take another kunai out of her weapon pouch and puncture another wound into the stomach of the shark, using her other free hand to grab onto the hilt of her katana and pull it out of the shark's body. The girl watched the waters turn into a shade of red from the blood of the shark and decided to deliver the final blow to its neck. The other two sharks would charge at her too. Swimming as fast as she could, she would reach the shore, with the sharks close behind her. As they opened their mouths to swallow her, the young girl would throw two exploding tags into their mouths, watching as the they detonated in their faces. She had managed to escape this unscathed, which was a miracle, judging from the fact that she barely ever made out of a solo mission without at least some form of minor injury. This was the second animal attack she would do in the day that was not only successful but left her with no wounds.
Perhaps she was actually starting to get good at her job...
