Most of the reason for this actually revolved around the fact that Sojiro was someone who practiced Taijutsu and not many people could keep up with his hand-to-hand skills. In the last month, things had changed a bit because he had found someone in Nikkousato that could keep up with his skills and help him get better; Genkumaru. So, as they had done some odd amount of times during the week, Sojiro had woken up early and made sure to head out to the training grounds.
Today he had made sure to choose an area with flat ground, though it was still soft, almost as though the sand was doing its best impression of dirt. Sojiro didn't bring any of his weapons or items, having also decided to leave Auggie back at home, too. He wore only a pair of black pants on his lower body, bandages wrapped around his hands and feet to cushion his blows a little bit but also protect him... Just a bit, as well. Sojiro would have gotten there a bit earlier than Gen today, starting his stretching and waiting for his comrade to show up, the sun not even fully passed the horizon yet.
