Sparring with a "Beastly" friend [Private/Spar]

It was a sunny afternoon and Arashi found himself in the training fields once more, this time not as a part of the academy, but as a full on shinobi. He started practicing with his new sword, giving it a swing or two, he felt more accustomed to it, he liked it's balance and weight. After appreciating his sword a little he went back to practicing in a light manner, as a way to better technique instead of strength or endurance. After a while of practicing he heard the steps of someone approaching...

It was never a bad idea to train yourself a bit, even if you weren't planning on doing an intense workout. That was the mindset that Sojiro adopted today, having decided to take the day to do some training before he'd take the rest of the day off to slack. He had brought some of his gear with him to the training area, mostly just his shinobi tool and a sword on his back.

He wasn't particularly good with a blade, at least compared to using his fists, so he was going to get some practice done today. Of course, as he approached the training area, he would see Arashi and wave a hand at him, "Yo!" He would put his arm down and get closer to the man, "Funny running into you here Arashi, you looking for a training partner?"

Arashi turned around when he heard someone calling out to him "Oh, hi Sojiro!" He then Sheathed his sword, and slightly waved back. "Indeed it is, and yes actually, if it doesn't bother you that is..." He smiled a little, nervousness building up as he eagerly awaited for Sojiro's response.

Sojiro gave a small laugh as he looked at the man, taking a few moments to start stretching out, "Not at all, I was looking for a small workout today. This will probably be a bit more than I wanted," As he finished up his stretching, he would roll is shoulders and slide into a defensive stance, "But I could never turn down a fight! So, let me see what you've got~!"

Arashi smiled "Alright I won't hold back then!" He put his hands on his sword, left hand on the scabbard, right hand on the grip, then he slid his feet into a lower and more balanced stance. He unsheathed slowly and let the back end of the sword rest on his shoulder, loosening his grip around it in both hands. he took a step back with the right leg, he then lifted his arms so that the blade was in a horizontal position behind his head with the sharp side up, his left hand was pretty much open, while the right had a loose grip on the hilt. In this stance, he was pretty open or that's what it looked like, he trained to swing with a quick and very strong downwards slash, while it was slightly obvious since it's the only thing he could do from this stance, without changing into another one, He had a plan. "Hope to not disappoint."

As soon as he sees Sojiro moving closer he will swing diagonally downwards but in the case of a block, he would loosen his left hand and keep going with the motion on the right instead of clashing. This would make the sword bounce against the block and slide through it, he would then grip it strongly with both hands and thrust towards Sojiro's chest, using his weapon's ability which allows for a further range in case he tries to dodge backward.

Sojiro had watched as Arashi would start to take his stance, letting out a soft grunt as he did. Even without dashing in to fight the man, he could tell that Arashi was well-practiced, and that was just by looking at his stance. The bestial man would close the distance between the two of them with ease, watching as Arashi would prepare to swing his sword downwards. Sojiro would let his own hand move quickly to his back, drawing out the blade that he held on his back and barely giving himself the time to protect.

As his blade connected with Arashi's, it was hard for him to try and knock the attack to the side, the man's limp hold on his blade allowing it to slide down. Sojiro barely had time to slide his right foot backward as Arash grabbed his blade tightly and sent it forward with a thrust, causing the blade to miss stabbing into his chest. However, the forward stab motion would tear across his Flak Jacket and, if not for the clothing, he would have suffered a cut on his body.

With Arashi's arms stretched outwards still, Sojiro would drop suddenly and aim to bring his left leg out in a sweeping kick. Sojiro was trying to steal Arashi's feet from underneath him and bring him downwards but, even if he dodged the first kick, Sojiro's body wouldn't stop there. He would keep spinning, bringing his right leg out for a high-kick and doing the same thing, alternating, for two more kicks. He hoped that one of them would either knock him down by hitting his legs, or even striking his head to send him to the ground, "Just don't hold back and you could never disappoint!"

Arashi was impressed at the way Sojiro had evaded his attack, but he guessed it was to be expected from a higher rank ninja. He had very little time to react to Sojiro's retaliation, but he followed his first impulse which was to get away from him. Arashi had trained enough to know that just moving his foot from the way of the first kick was gonna leave him in a bad position, so in a maneuver that was more of an instinct than a thought, he started to fall away from Sojiro, rolling sideways and then facing him. "Phew... That was a close one. But I'm just starting!"

Arashi then jumped back a little and charged towards Sojiro. He was trying to execute a running slash, and after it, he would try to keep going forward and hit his opponent with a flying knee attack.

Sojiro watched as Arashi moved his body into a roll and slid out of the way of the kicks, a grin on his lips as he watched the man move. As he got distance between the two of them before dashing forward, it was time for Sojiro to twist his body into a defensive gesture as Arashi brought his blade around to try and strike the bestial male down!.. And then there was the sound of metal clashing against something as Arashi would find his blade halted directly in its motion, the source of this being Sojiro's mouth! The man had caught the blade between his teeth and robbed it of all forward momentum, and then something would happen that would most likely catch the sword user off guard. His blade would suddenly crack beneath the pressure of Sojiro's teeth and jaw before suddenly exploding into bits and breaking in half.

Even though Sojiro had stopped Arashi's forward movement, he hadn't been expecting the man to follow up with a knee. So, as he bit down on the blade, Arashi's knee would connect with Sojiro's side and cause him to grunt but he'd brace himself and throw his left arm forward. His left arm tried to come around out of Arashi's view, hopefully, lost in the confusion of the sword breaking and his strike connecting with Sojiro. Sojiro had summoned chakra into his hand, aiming to connect his left fist in a punch with Arashi's ribs, releasing his Cherry Blossom Impact on contact. The force of the blow had enough force to tear the man off of his feet and send him tumbling 5 meters to the side, "Whew, not bad at all, Arashi!"

For half a second Arashi couldn't believe what he saw when Sojiro bit his sword, Still, he was resolute and followed his motto of not hesitating. When his sword shattered, and his knee connected, Arashi saw Sojiro's fist approaching, and tried to deflect it down in a hurry, by putting his right hand in Sojiro's wrist and shifting his weight to that side, Arashi literally tried to lift himself with Sojiro's hand while he jumped, attempting to flip around his opponent's wrist while maintaining a grip on his broken sword's hilt with his left hand and sending some chakra into it. He then would try to sweep Sojiro's feet with a kick after landing. "Damn those are some tough teeth!"

Sojiro had let out a loud laugh at Arashi's comment, feeling his opponent press and lift off of him, and honestly, he cursed his own strength. If he had been weaker, he wouldn't have been able to support Arashi's movement to avoid his attack. As the man flipped around Sojiro's wrist, he would twist his own arm slightly during the motion to try and grab Arashi, so they would be holding onto each other.

As the man moved around and came to sweet at Sojiro's legs, the man would actually throw himself in the direction of Arashi in an attempt to roll over top his head. If this had worked, he would try and use his won grasp on the man to bring him around in a powerful swing, slamming his body onto the ground with full force, "Ha, if you think that's bad, you should see how much my dentist hates me!"

Arashi Couldn't help but laugh a little at Sojiro's remark, still, he wouldn't let his guard down. When Sojiro grabbed him and attempted to slam him towards the ground, Arashi let him do this, and instead of resisting, he waited till Sojiro smashed him to use his substitution jutsu. Instantly appearing behind Sojiro, He attempted a full-powered spinning hook kick with his right leg aimed for Sojiro's head. this kick had enough power behind it that if it connected in the head it was enough to throw any normal person to the ground but not enough to leave him out of balance if it missed, this was mostly due to Arashi's weight of around 200 pounds, and since he's not that tall he can maintain his balance while applying a lot of force to his hits.

If this kick were to miss he would use the momentum of the kick to deliver a left hook at ribs height, in case that the kick hit he would set himself back into his own guard, Which could be considered as a mix of a boxing and karate guard with some taekwondo mixed in, his left arm slightly extended and that hand a little open, his right fist would be almost touching his chin, legs spread and lowered, right leg back left leg forward, he would stand still waiting for Sojiro's next attack "I'm pretty sure they must! Do you need to pay them extra or something?"

As Sojiro had brought the man over and towards the ground, he hadn't been expecting to find the man disappearing but he was impressed, nonetheless. He relied on his nose to tell him where Arashi was but this didn't quite help him defend against any attacks since he had no idea how the man was going to defend himself. So, as Arashi brought himself to try and attack Sojiro, the man's feet would dig tightly into the ground and he would twist his body a sudden and incredible strength. The man's body would suddenly resemble a drill in shape, causing the attack to be deflected against the side and the attack would move across the ground, tearing part of it up, before coming to try and smack into the side of Arashi as he regained his posture.

After Sojiro's Tunneling Fang had ended, the man would land gracefully in an all four position, "Yeah, so I try my best to never go to the dentist because of it!" He gave a laugh, using his position to launch forward across the ground with full force, whipping his right heel around so that his body would swing and he could try and strike against Arashi full force. This attack would launch him six meters forward and upon contact with either Arashi, or the ground, would create a crater with a 4-meter diameter.

"I bet!" As Arashi tried to kick, Sojiro started to spin which caused his kick to bounce off as he became more akin to a drill than a person, trying to dodge Arashi side-stepped but it wasn't enough, he had to block the side of the attack with his forearm to avoid being sent to the ground. He was still standing but he was out of balance, it was then that Sojiro lunged at him, Arashi tried to grab Sojiro's foot which proved to be a wrong move as when he did that, the ground around him shattered and he was sent flying four meters backward. He rolled on the ground and tried to stand up with difficulties. it was a hard kick, so he thought it was better to stop the fight before he broke something.

"Alright, I guess you win..." Arashi said with a pained voice he was a bit out of breath and his hands were sore and burned. "But don't you think that this will be the last time we fight." He chuckled faintly "I gotta say... You've got a goddamn strong kick!" He mustered his strength to make that remark. Arashi was actually happy, he had a good fight, and even though he lost it was fun for him to test his abilities against another shinobi. So, all in all, it was a good day for him.
