Will They Ever Be Found? [Solo Plot Mission] Empty Will They Ever Be Found? [Solo Plot Mission]

Post by Letony Thu Jul 30, 2020 12:57 pm

    Spoiler:
Letony entered a bar. The place was dimly lit, and quite spacious. There were chaired tables orderly arranged around the room, and a bar with about seven bar stools. The counter was low, and made of darkened wood. There was an acrid smell of smoke, and a small amount dust around the edges of the place. It was clean enough to not contain any unsavory creatures such as mice, and bugs. Ahead of Letony past the tables, and chairs there was a small stage with a band playing soft music. The bar aligned the right side of the room, filled with bottles of the alcoholic nature. Behind the counter there were two bartenders. One had on a cowboy hat, and the other had rough looking brownish hair. They both were aged, and this showed by their scruffy black beards. The brown haired one had a fat face, and chubby build. The other seemed to lack meat, and was rather skinny. Both appeared experts at their profession, as Letony approached the bar. There were already three people occupying the stools as Letony approached. All were in extensive chatter, their attention away from Letony. He could easily divulge the contents of what the three next to him discussed, along with the two bartenders. Letony was searching for specific information to be mentioned about the events taking place around the village, regarding the missing children. He’d long struggled with this mission, having found none of the missing kids. Letony did however, find the clues he needed for it. And hopefully this would be the case at the moment in time Letony, appeared at this bar. It was located in the Slums, probably some offshoot, unofficial establishment, but this was of no consequence to the boy. He would delve deeper into the room, lifting himself from the stool, after listening to the mundane conversation of the one’s closest. He walked, drawing closer to the stage area; but he would meander around the tables to see if he could overhear anything first. There was a bit of mild chatter, and he overheard something unusual.

Someone mentioned something about the missing children. Letony wanted to get closer to perform an interrogation of the loud-mouthed offender, but also didn’t want to blow his cover. He was hiding behind his black cloak that drenched the entirety of his body, and had a hood that hid much of his face. The person talking also sat at a table with two other people, so Letony would need to bide his time, and stalk the man before he performed an interrogation. Letony found an empty table approximated four tables away from his target, directly behind him. Letony continued to listen on the conversation, briefly ordering a drink to appear normal. He wouldn’t actually drink it however, but left the table holding the drink once his target eventually left. Letony awaited until the man left the exit then quickly dashed behind him. Once out on the street, it appeared the others had fled, so now it was just him, and Letony. The man didn’t visibly notice Letony, and continued to walk across the main road of the Slums. It was the dead of night, and Letony followed behind the man, using his shinobi skills to sneak close without making much sound. At least not enough to startle an untrained civilian, but this guise only lasted so long. About five meters from Letony the man stopped, as Letony took a single footstep. He turned his head to notice the shadowy figure behind him. Letony created hand seals and closed his eyes. The man being strangled by a tree that uprooted from the earth beneath his feet. Emerging from the tree Letony came out holding a Tanto just above the man, who was immobile. “Everything you know about the missing children, spill it.” The man was in complete horror, and began spilling his guts. “Last I heard, children have been vanishing near the Sand Port, being exported by some mercenary broker. But that’s just a rumor around the village.” Letony was satisfied and would report back to the admin building. He allowed the Genjutsu to keep the man docile until its duration ended.
