The roads of Kataki were the same as ever. However today it felt different. Shizuka was off to the Kellen Plains, a region categorized as one the most dangerous of places. Apart from the desolate islands in the Mid Regions, Kellen plains were probably one of the most places people wanted to avoid. Regardless she had been tasked to travel there and investigate a certain sighting. Massive foot-prints too big to be any large animal. Shizuka knew not what this was but she would travel along the roads. It would take her just over a day, taking into account she wanted to rest before moving further on.
She would stop at her usual spot. Just near the edge of the Kataki road. A cave covered in heavy jungle foliage. It was too small to house anything like a tiger or bear but just snug enough to fit maybe two people and a fire. Shizuka would rest there, relying on a thick set of cloaks to keep her warm from the rain. A small nap of four hours and Shizuka would once again head towards the Kellen plains. As she got closer and closer to the frozen regions she could feel the unnatural chill that crept through her clothes and into her body.
It would take thirthy minutes to navigate through the thick layer of snow but soon enough she would be inside the Kellen Plains and ready to investigate.
