"I Wish I Was Strong Enough to Lift Not One but Both of Us!"
There was no end to the folly of a certain clan of rabbit-eared women…
Darkness had long consumed the sky after the sun would drop. The explosion of twilight colors had long subsided like a gentle flame beyond the horizon. Only when the darkness would truly reach its pinnacle and radiant diamonds sparkled into the sky with every twinkle, it was then that they would take to the streets. Like a siren’s song, no one would be spared whenever they were within ear shot. Even from afar, they would be slowly pulled to the center plaza of the Moon Village. They would fall for the perfect pitch in both song and advertisement as the center of the village became infested with fun and merriment.
It was the perfect crime, at least if someone was hurt. Though the audience willingly would give themselves away to the melody of a lone bunny laying her back to one of the clothed crates with a cushion under her slightly exposed and supple hind. Her amethyst eyes would be gazing to the scene of the villagers that were passing by going to the many stands where sweets were served, ramen was piping hot, and little games would be had where prizes could be won. The Festival of Rebirth was ravenous with fun, and the Usagi Clan who would position themselves by boothes and stands would act as saleswomen as they would wave, call, and even kiss the cheek of a passing man to put them under their spell and persuade them to give a game a go!
But Hikari was not going to do any of that…
“Honestly,” The lilac haired child had seen none of it with his eyes, and he was grateful he was blind. He could still hear his clan’s sisters laughing and parading on with their voices. “I-I know Akane-chan said there was nothing wrong with being pretty, but-” Hikari was cut off by the faux laughter and the chiming pockets of Ryo that would follow soon after. It was obvious that the girls were spitting out their best lines as they would walk around on the cobblestone plaza. The shape of a crescent moon under his feet would be ignored for all it was worth as he could hear the sounds of his merry sisters. Sure, Akane had a point, but she had clearly never met the Usagi Clan.
If Grandmother were around, she would be proud of her daughters.
Though, Hikari did not care for any of this. He was doing his due diligence as just walking about in his clan’s attire. They would wear the secure padded mesh that slightly exposed their legs through the leather and weave fabric that was thin at the thighs. For the Usagi, a cottontail had been sewn onto the black bottoms. He balanced himself on his iron Regaria as he walked as if balance was not an issue at the very least Then there was the top of his zipped up mesh and pads that secured his body. As usual, he would choose one of his kimonos that would weave around his upper body. The sleeves were Ofurisode style as they would wave through the air like bright lavender wings and his torso was patterned with white blossoms that raced around him.
“I-I suppose I should make myself useful,” He frowned slightly, “If I do not, my grandmother will not allow him to hear the end of it.” Hikari would say this while walking around the plaza looking for the nearest tourist. His foggy eyes were useless in this matter as he would rely on the rabbit-esque ears that were lifting from his lilac hair that hid the band. He would step carefully as he would muse a song to himself. He had not been his usual mood to dance and sing, but he would take the advice of his friends and try to be his normal self today.
If that could be enough...he would have to see.
