Ami had half expected Gen to deliver blows to her, not only because he had been doing so for awhile now in this battle, but also because she preferred hand-to-hand combat. She was starting to feel the energy drain from her body, meaning that she would have to end the fight quickly. Ami would see Gen come at her with a strike, which seemed in appearance to be a normal attack to her face, followed by one to her torso. Judging from his agility, she knew she would have take one of them..or did she...as she remembered one of her preferred wind jutsu. Step of the Wind, would theoretically carry her three meters upward, as she would choose to go upward, if only for a second, enough to dodge the attack to her face. When she would come down again, she would form handseals to form a water whip, hoping to bind his body.
