Solo Mission - Kick out the Squatters Empty Solo Mission - Kick out the Squatters

Post by Guest Sat Jun 06, 2020 10:15 pm

Twenty shinobi from the Sun were lined outside an informal settlement. A mixture of broken-down homes and tin can shack was home to the less fortunate. Shizuka had seen the poor conditions of the slums but those were at least hard-working folk. The squatters in these areas were criminals. Drug dealers, kidnappers, poachers, and murderers hiding from the law. These sorts of filth Shizuka had no problem with evicting. What they were waiting for was the noon sun. They had been warned on several occasions to clear out. Now, this was the third and final warning. By noon, when the sun was at its peak, everyone still inside the squatters was free game.

Force was permitted and in the event of violent retaliation lethal force would be allowed. Perhaps those were harsh rules of engagement. Though it might be true, the squatter was in truth just a festering criminal den. Many of them were past convicted criminals or those who had escaped the justice system through various loopholes. The Shinobi assembled there really did not mind kicking in a few faces to teach them a lesson. They were trained in killing, after all, just roughing them up was a restraint on their part. But if they drew a weapon then the Shinobi would do what they were best trained to do, kill without remorse.

The commander of the Shinobi forces waited, checking to see the dial become shadowless. Noon. He raked the back of his throat before spitting out the dust and wiping sweat off his neck. He looked at the shinobi and nodded. There was no ceremony, or cheer only adherence to the order. Several hooligans were outside watching, daring the Shinobi to attack them. They had done this dance before, the Shinobi lining up until noon before leaving. What they did not know that this was the third and final verse.

As the Shinobi did not stop, the panic started. The first squatter was tied down by a seal. A series of black letters running up his body and rendering him immobile. Others began to run, and they would be spared the humiliation. Some would resist, a mistake. Some picked up planks, swinging at the shinobi. Shizuka was one such, a simple sidestep saw the plank fly past her. A smack to the side of the head saw him on the ground. He held his ear, sweltered red by Shizuka’s sheathe. He raised his hands, yielding. Shizuka moved on and someone behind her put him in restraints.

Some people might ask, why so drastic? The squatters posed no real threat towards a Shinobi village. Yes, that was very true, but they did pose a threat to the civilian populace. The honest working people were affected. They were the criminals behind targeting them, spreading their drugs and violence. With a few more detained the resistance died down. The shinobi commander then announced one more time for them to disband. “Those who are detained will be cross-checked for criminal activity and sentenced for their crimes.”

That really set them off, they scrambled, picking up whatever they could carry and ran. Some were greedy, trying to lug their drug-making devices. The commander ordered for the demolishing to behind. A couple of earth elements Jutsu bulldozed and leveled the area, burying the trash underground. The village would send cleaners at a later date to destroy the drug-making equipment and dispose of trash properly. For now, they just needed to destroy this squatter camp of criminals and their hideouts.
By 4 o clock, the informal settlement was cleared of criminals. The land was flattened for actual use by productive members of society. Those that were detained were charged and arrested for crimes that were on record.
