Constant and consistent cleaning increases the longevity of a house, same goes for the village. While Senkou did have empathy for the situation that the homeless and addicts are in, there were plenty of criminals that used them as cover and to victimize, so he was assigned to remove some squatters from an abandoned section of the village that wasn’t within the construction plans currently. He sighed up at the ceiling as he finished reading the mission briefing. Senkou rolled out of bed, stuffing the briefing back into the manila envelope it came in. Putting on his cloak and mask, he did some stretching. With a cup of tea in hand, Senkou felt physically and mentally prepared for the mission ahead though it gave him no pleasure in these evictions.
His white cloak and mask gleamed in the sunlight of the coming dawn as he exited his apartment building and out onto the street. This was his preferred time to do missions which could involve combat. The sun was Senkou’s ally, its existence added a dimension that most people weren’t prepared to deal with as the average person had a tendency to associate shinobi activity with the dead of night. The streets were already pretty quiet this time of the morning, but as Senkou approached the abandoned buildings he was tasked with clearing out, the street he was walking on was completely empty except for him and the trash that was blowing in the morning breeze.
He stood outside of the building, a large warehouse, breathing quickly and deeply in and out to charge up his oxygen flow through his body and as Senkou smashed the door open with a kick, he yelled out, “Police! Clear the area. Now!”
He threw a prepped flash bang into the air and its bright flash of light revealed a panicked group of homeless some of whom began scattering to the other exits, some laid on the floor unconscious from their choice of drug, and a few idiots who turned angry and started moving their way towards Senkou. They were making angry and rude gestures while yelling back with bottles flying into the air directly at Senkou. Taking out a rubber ball tied with wire, Senkou swung it to break the glass bottles before they could reach him and continuing the momentum, he turned the swing low and feeding the wire to make the swing long enough to take out one of the malcontents at knee damaging speed. The one who’s left knee just shattered collapsed taking another one of the malcontents down with him , angry words turned into screams and then crying as they could no longer stand.
The other men began to run away from Senkou, but turning your back was probably worse than facing him head on. The whirling rubber ball snapped through the air and another man fell to the floor, his knee distended far more forward than it had any right to be. One more to go, this last one had managed to get out of range of the wire. Senkou used the forward momentum to bring the ball back to him, but as it reached him he pulled it back past his ear creating a slingshot out of the wire and when released the rubber ball was launched forward even faster than it was being swung on the wire and caught the man square in the back which sent him to the floor in a heap.
Senkou went over the man who was trying to get out of the grasp of the first rubber ball victim and simply tied his hands and feet together behind him. The other victims were too busy with their pain to bother Senkou as he made a sweep through the warehouse and found no one else around willing to challenge him. Internally sighing he carried out the injured ones and put them out front of the warehouse. A note was sent to headquarters for these men to be put into prison for the qualified amount of time. Finished with his mission, Senkou went back home. Maybe the next mission won’t be as tedious.
