Kannagi Irezumi had moved into Genkumaru's home but she hadn't spent much time there lately. Missions had been keeping her busy and she hadn't had a single day off in six continuous days of fighting. When she woke up this morning in bed, she had gotten a message slipped under the door. It would seem Sojiro was pulling her in for a mission and that would make seven days straight of missions. She rubbed her sore limbs and washed up, feeling annoyed. Sojiro knew that she was exhausted from all of her recent hard work. Why would he pick her? She got dressed in black shorts, black tank top, and her usual never ending stock of skirts supplied her with a gray flowing piece which she tied up by her hips for a high low look. Standing in the mirror, she frowned, touching the knotted white flesh around the side of her neck. Her legs too were covered in spider web like white lines but that was from a different event. One where she had successfully beaten down the bad guy and lived to tell the tale. One that she was not ashamed to show.
Kannagi found a maroon scarf, thin and light, and wrapped it around her neck until it made a continuous circle without any dangling ends. It hid the physical reminder of her shame and she picked up the mission scroll once more. This time, Kannagi read it more thoroughly, noting lives were in danger from a collapsed mine. "By the sun and stars," She cursed under her breath. She had gotten a late and lethargic start this morning and had to run to get to the gates. It was the first time she had ever been late, by which one might have simply noticed that Kannagi was just on time. Early was on time, and on time was late. Kannagi preferred it that way. She had grabbed her nin pouch, senbon launcher and medical bag on her way out of the compound. Kannagi also managed to grab a couple of rice balls from the kitchen counter as well. She had heard some girl was living at the place with them, the sister of Sojiro, somehow estranged. Kannagi didn't understand it but she hadn't had the time to introduce herself or satiate her questions with all of the missions lately. The kunoichi left her room and passed by Genkumaru on her way out. She looked over at Genkumaru and shook her head. "You look like you haven't eaten in weeks. Take this and eat," She ordered in a motherly fashion, passing the rice balls to him. "And don't even think of arguing all right. I don't what we'll do if you pass out on this mission."
She strapped on her senbon launcher and then stretched an arm down to Genkumaru. "We have to go, let me help you up, okay?" Assuming that he agreed, Kannagi would help him out to the gates, unsure of if he was really in any condition to be joining them at all. When they finally arrived, she drew out a pin and pinched back a clump of her bangs to the side. "We're here, I'm ready." Kannagi gave Sojiro a look and gestured with a subtle nod of her head to their friend Genkumaru, as if to ask him what he was thinking dragging the man into this. She finally caught sight of the girl nearby, dressed in girly attire. Kannagi couldn't judge because she was at least mostly covered up, she just hoped the girl wore some shorts or something underneath that small skirt. Kannagi was a radiant beauty who knew how to dress for comfort, for missions, and still manage to feel confident in her garments. The scarf was new to her though, and she didn't much think it went with her usual look. Hapless, she reached up a hand to touch it while greeting the girl. "Kannagi," She said without giving away her last name or clan. It was how she always introduced herself. "Kokoro, yes? I apologize that we have yet to meet this week. I have found myself strained for time as of late."
