The technique is unlike other jutsu in that it does not require any hand seals, it just relies on the users ability to mold chakra into a rapidly swirling ball of massive destructive force. The ninja concentrates a contained, fast, rotating sphere of chakra in the palm of their hand and then strikes their target with it, which can cause massively destructive impacts on contact. Targets hit by the Rasengan are pushed back five meters away from the user due to the sheer explosive force. The Rasengan is able to break through any defensive gear or techniques of the same rank or lower.
