After the last mission that he had been assigned, it was an easy enough task for the man to head to the Moon Village and prepare to take refuge in the same inn that he always had done. The mission from the day before was still fresh in his mind but he wasn't concerned with the ramifications, expecting to hear something about the turn of events when he got to the village, at least among the guards at least. But, despite the carnage that had been caused, Sojiro didn't hear a single thing from the people of the town about how their warehouse had been brutally and utterly destroyed. Sojiro kept his calm as he slipped into the gates of the village and down the streets, trying to think of just how deep this mess with the villages could have actually run. If even the shinobi weren't aware of the destruction he caused, then he would need to do more than just kill a few shinobi to get their attention. Sojiro would chew at the inside of his cheek as he moved through the streets of the village and to the normal inn that he went to, the owner happy to see him and having saved a room for him; the village letting the man know that Sojiro was coming. The Sun Shinobi would slip into the room that he always stayed in, to the point that he had been given permission to leave his stuff in the room between stays. Of course, it wasn't like he left a lot of stuff here, most of it was older research things and tools that he didn't really use. He left the basic materials for grinding herbs and beakers to mixing them to do small concoctions but nothing serious. The man knew that he was going to be staying inside of the Moon for a few days so, with his one arm, the man would unpack his bag and set the clothing in the drawers. Sojiro already had his next mission, something that he was going to do in the cover of night; meaning he had a bit of time to kill before he needed to head out.
The first thing that he did after unpacking his belongings was start to strip off his clothing while moving to the bathroom, starting up a steaming shower. Sojiro would spend a decent amount of time in the shower, reflecting over his thoughts to some degree while still adjusting to washing his body with just a single arm. It was a pain in the ass, the adjustment, but it was something that he was learning to slowly live with. By the time he got out the shower, the sun was slowly getting closer to lowering and there was a soft breath of annoyance that left his lips. The man had definitely spent more time in the shower than he intended but he wouldn't let it bother him, it felt good and the fact that the hot water of the hotel never seemed to go out was simply a blessing in disguise. The black-haired male would have moved to the materials that he had left inside of his suitcase, which was an extremely plain ninja outfit that someone would expect to see on stage or read about in books. This had been his go-to outfit in terms of handling 'shady' missions so that the village couldn't be tracked to the murders and he could protect his own identity while doing this. The left sleeve of the upper part of the outfit had been tied off at the wrist with a glove at the end, stuffed with various cloth to make it look like an actual arm. In the light it was obviously not real but he did his best work in the dark, so it was hardly ever something that the people noticed. He would slip the shirt on, followed by the pants and then the black socks that would cover his feet. As he pulled the mask over his face to hide his facial features, the sun would completely disappear from view and the village would sink into pure darkness. As that happened, Sojiro would open the window of his room and disappear into the village.
The man would summon chakra into his nose and lungs as he slipped into the village, to increase the range of his nose so that he could keep away from any people; Enhanced Sense! Sojiro's mission was to kill another important merchant that lived inside the walls of the Moon Village, a task that honestly seemed too easy all things considered as he moved through the shadows before finally reaching the estate. The place was a decent-enough size, the walls surrounding it leaving a decent enough yard that a few guards had been moving through while patrolling. Sojiro crossed over the walls and into the compound with ease, the nails on his right hand growing about a meter long as he rolled across the ground; Nail Extension! Sojiro came up behind one of the guards and drove his hand towards his neck, the nails easily removed the man's head from his shoulders and sending it tumbling across the ground. As that happened, another guard had started to walk around one of the high hedges and Sojiro didn't have much time to react. Sojiro would dash in the space between the two of them quickly and utilize a simple Taijutsu move, when used by itself. The man's fingers grabbed his face and dug in; Iron Claw! But, with his nails extended like they were, there was no denying the ease that they cut through his skull and ended his life.
With the two guards that were patrolling the grounds dead, Sojiro moved to the first door that led inside and would take stock of enemies inside. With ease, he grabbed the handled and would break it as he turned it, forcing it open as he did. The nails on his hand would return to their normal force, Sojiro hearing one of the guards moving in the other room but he would ignore him, instead moving towards the stairs and towards the second story, where he would find two more guards in front of a door that he could only assume belonged to the boss.
Sojiro would move quickly as lightning would surge around his body for a moment, calling it forth and allowing him to move in a blur to the side of one of the men; Lightning Step! Sojiro would touch the man and transfer the lightning to him and stop him in his tracks so that he couldn't move; Body Pathway Derangement. His friend hadn't even noticed that his comrade was stuck, Sojiro stepping around the paralyzed man quickly and to the other, wrapping his own arm around his neck and dropping down. Using his own body as leverage, he would break the man's neck in this quick motion and let his body fall to the ground. While the other man watched in frozen fear, Sojiro would draw the Katana from the man's side and use it to remove his head from his shoulders. From there, it was easy to enter the room of the sleeping target and close the distance between them. Sojiro would pin the target to his bed with the katana, shoving it down to the hilt in his chest before leaving out the window and returning back home.
