No matter what he did, he couldn't escape that damned night. No matter how many different types of techniques he tried to use so that he could forget it, or at least dull the pain they caused, but there wasn't much that he could do. Sojiro was standing there in the pouring rain for a moment as he took in the scene in front of him, the details of everything as unsure as static. He blinked to try and gather his senses, to try and make sense of everything, but it was like standing in the center of a hurricane. As Sojiro would take in the sights, Hikari being taken into the distance and the smell of blood was filling his nose with a scent so strong he thought he was going to be sick. That didn't make any sense, the smell of blood had never bothered him before, so why was it bothering him right now? Hell, where was the smell of blood even coming from? That was the biggest question. That was when his attention had found Kannagi, the blue haired girl who was bleeding out on the ground. Was she going to die? No! Not on his watch! Sojiro felt a suddenly pain from his left arm, grabbing it before he moved over to Kannagi with little thought in his mind as he would start to heal the woman's wounds. Is Kenji crying? Huh, that wasn't really something that he was expecting. The man looked a bit like a mess when he cried, did he know that? Sojiro would probably never really get a chance to tell him about it, because bringing it up after tonight would only make things awkward. It was probably one of those things that was better left unsaid.
As Sojiro's hands moved over Kannagi's body to heal her wounds, the man barking orders out firmly for Kenji to follow, his vision blurred for a moment and he thought he was going to pass out. His left arm was gone in one moment, only his right hand healing the wounds that the woman had, before his arm would flicker back into existence. Despite it being such an odd experience, Sojiro could only shrug it off as his mind playing games with him as he heard himself give the order for Genkumaru to protect them, which was soon followed by the sound of a giant lion roaring... Was that right? It was probably an explosion but the fierceness behind the actual attack, the determination, had almost brought the action to life as it filled the air. The next thing that Sojiro knew, he had been standing and screaming that Kenji get the girl out of here and to save their lives. They would make sure the woman couldn't follow behind them, before turning to follow themselves because Sojiro had made sure that he wasn't going to die here! There was no way that either of them were going to die today, Sojiro Sakura would make sure of that!!! Of course, as he thought he was done trying to help his friends escape, that was when a giant tendril had tried to turn them into people pancakes. From that moment, he had protected them further before moving into the same area as Gen so the two of them could come together and try to end this woman!
Genkumaru had summoned a large gate that would protect them from the devastating force that was the Senju's attacks, the two of them using the gate as their push into the ultimate attack. The two of them had seemingly caught the woman inside of a Double Lariat, a move that was strong enough to tear her head off and save their lives! In that moment everything became a blur, he felt his arm not strike against her flesh but instead a strong, wooden object that would still crack underneath the force of their attack. And, just as the wood exploded and they were going to end her lives, there was a sharp pain that tore through Sojiro and caused him to scream!
Sojiro would shoot up in the bed that he was sleeping in, covered in a thick layer of sweat as he started to look around the area to make sure that no one else was in the room. His left arm, despite the fact that it was no longer there, was hurting like a bitch and his brain was screaming at him to do something about it. Of course, they both knew there wasn't much that he could do in this moment, not until he get his knowledge up a bit more about how those sorts of things worked. The room at the inn that he was staying in had been covered in a soft orange hue from the sun starting to come up, which had meant that Sojiro had woken up at the perfect time, actually. As it currently stood, Sojiro had only finished one of his two missions and it was time for him to get working on the other one. As Sojiro was preparing to head out for his next mission, there was an interesting thought that crossed his mind.
The village of Moon had recently suffered a series of murders inside of their walls and, while some of them had to be Sun Shinobi like himself, there was no way that they were all from them. Firstly, the village had yet to ask him to leave behind some type of weird 'A' symbol. That could just be because they didn't trust him enough to trust him with that type of information yet, but he still thought that something else was happening here. Despite those thoughts, Sojiro wouldn't waste much time before he slipped from the window of his room and into the shrinking darkness in the village. The goal had been simple enough, the target being the owner of a small bank that was trying its best to get off its feet within the village. Sojiro couldn't imagine how the village of Sun would benefit from such a seemingly unimportant man biting the bullet but he wasn't one to argue with orders, at least not openly.
Sojiro waited in an alleyway across from the store as he would wait for the owner to arrive, a man who was no taller than five feet and six inches and was also balding. The man didn't need to wait long, giving it a few moments as the man would have began to fumble with his keys and started to open the store doors. Just as he began to move into the building, that was when Sojiro had moved quickly and quietly across the distance between them. As the old man moved into the store, Sojiro would have made it to the door a few moments before it closed itself and slide silently into the building, towering behind the small man in that moment. The act of the assassination was swift enough, Sojiro pulling out a kunai from his pouch and bringing it forward to drive into the man's back a few times. Each stab into his back was fatal, aimed for important organs and to make his death as painless and quick as possible. After that, Sojiro would leave out the back door and disappear back into the village, eventually making it to his room's window again and into safety.
