Carnival season...a time of festivities and joy, two very foreign things for the young Hyuuga. Ami had never been allowed to participate in any kind of festivals and had therefore never been allowed to go to carnivals by default. As a main member of the Hyuuga clan, there were strict rules in place for her and all others in her generation that they were not to deviate from their studies and training from at young age. The idea of having fun was non-existent in the compounds and for many years, the girl would accept that as her fate. She recalled not being able to go anywhere with her friends as a child, and then not going anywhere because she had no friends when she was older. Now it didn't really bother her much, even though her interest in these activities and events were still quite strong. Perhaps one day she would be able to go with some people...Gekkousato had been preparing for the events in the village, the locals and shinobi working together to create something spectacular, it seemed. Having had no prior experience and not wanting to be more of a bother than anything else, she had decided to travel to the Sun village, where she was to meet some of her Nikkousato friends. She had heard there was going to be a festival of sorts there too.

And that was when she would stop by the bulletin board that welcomed new people while she walked down Kataki Road. She had never paid so much attention to the boards, always hastily traveling to her destination. But today she was in no such hurry, her footsteps ceasing as a help wanted sign was posted. She was always happy to help, she thought to herself, looking up at the sky. It was still early afternoon and she was going to meet her friends later on in the evening, which meant she had time to kill. Ami would make her way to where a man was standing with a tiger, and another boy was talking to him. it seemed as though it was a mission to round some tiger cubs, from what the help wanted sign had said. That seemed easy to accomplish, the Hyuugan walking up to the two men, her pink hair flowing gently in the wind. "I'm here to lend a hand, if you need it." she said a little directly, her blue eyes glancing at both the man and the tiger, smiling at the animal sweetly. She was fond of animals, even though full grown tigers scared her a little.

It wasn't that she didn't recognize the boy, not at all. But she had been too preoccupied with the tiger that she had failed to take notice, her head tilted upward abruptly as she looked from the man from the carnival to Jayy. He hadn't changed one bit, since the last time she had seen him when they were fighting the octopus. But his facial expression seemed to be much softer, indicating that it was indeed the Kaguya himself and not the demon, which was admittedly easier to work with. Ami herself had decided to try out her new disguise, going so far as to colour her hair and wear contacts. It wasn't to fool anyone really, but she had wanted to hide her identity outside of the village. So much gossip circulating the Hyuuga had made her a little skeptical of her abilities, the inner turmoils now mixed with doubts of whether she had caused dishonour to her family name. To counter that she decided it was best to try to be a different person at least by appearance. If anyone looked at her long enough they would recognize who she was, since the only things that would change were literally her hair and eyes. But at first glance they would be fooled, especially if she didn't give her name.

She was about to greet Jayy when another voice interrupted, a very familiar voice. The girl didn't need to turn to recognize who it was and immediately tensed as he called her by name. Arashi...the sun shinobi. She had met him a couple of times now, on different missions and she had almost forgotten that this was his first time seeing her disguise. Although taken aback by how quickly he recognized her, she would give him a small smile in return for his outburst, hoping Jayy hadn't caught it. Ami wanted to see how long it would take the Kaguya before he recognized who she was, and since he hadn't even bothered to look at her for more than a second, she guessed he was still in the dark. This was further confirmed when he threw leashes and collars at her and one at Arashi, his impatient personality prominent as ever before. She would smile, catching the leash and collar, remembering old times. Still she refused to speak, knowing that her voice would give away her identity probably quicker than her face would. Instead, the Hyuga nodded her head, and waited for Jayy to take the lead, heading in one direction. They would split up, she supposed. Glancing at Arashi she would finally speak, her voice natural, now that Jayy was out of earshot.

"You are quite the observant man, Arashi." she complimented him, giving him another smile. "I guess we should split up?"

Ami would smile a little to herself as she saw Arashi take the same direction as Jayy, which left her to take the right side. For a person that looked so uptight, she admired the little bouts of bashfulness the man often showed. As he ran off, she would go the other way, the leash and collars in hand. All the while she was thinking about her approach. The mission was to round the cubs, not kill them, and to be perfectly honest, she was fine with that. The girl didn't want to kill any more animals, especially children unless it was absolutely necessary. But this meant that she probably needed to coax the cubs instead of trying to fight one head on, seeing as tiger bites could be deadly, even ones from cubs. She had been given two leashes meaning she was to round two cubs for the carnival. She was still lost in thought when she heard a noise, which made her stop walking immediately.

In front of her stood one cub and another one that was off in the distance. The one that was standing not too far from her was bleeding a little on one of its hind legs, suggesting that it had gone into a fight with someone or something else. Ami approached the injured cub quietly and carefully, not wanting to startle the animal. She noticed that there were a couple more slightly smaller cuts near its torso. Whatever had attacked the poor thing had left its mark. The girl would activate her Byakugan silently, looking for a tenketsu she could strike that would still the animal but not cause it any more injury than it had already suffered under the hands of someone else. She would have to work quickly and had only one chance to ambush the poor thing, so to speak. The girl would then run towards the cub, jumping up as she neared it, her chakra filled fingers striking a few of the points on its body. She would temporarily cause the animal to be stunned before putting one of the leashes and collar on it.

The other cub that was nearby would start to move towards her but she was one step quicker. The moment she jumped down from the first cub, her feet landing lightly on the ground, she was already heading to the other animal. This cub had seemed to be unscathed, to her relief. As it came closer, she could see it move to attack her, its paw trying to strike her body. She jumped out of the way, her still chakra-laced hands, reaching out to strike the animal. She was mindful not to hit vital points while still trying to subdue it in the process. Its claw dug a little into her left arm, nothing serious enough for her to pay any attention as she repeated what she had done to the first cub, finishing off the process with placing a collar and leash on it as well. Deactivating her kekkei gekkai, she would give the two cubs a smile, petting them each gently on the head, turning to return to where the three shinobi had parted ways.
