Travelling was an unfortunate reality of life as a shinobi. It wasn’t very fun since he never had time to stop and see the sights or check out local party scenes. Not that he ever got sent anywhere that had a party scene, to begin with.
He had thrown some food and clothes in a bag, in addition to the equipment he normally had on his person, his puppet seal, wakizashi, some exploding tags, and flash bombs. He was more of a catch-as-catch-can person and didn’t worry about trying to prepare for every possible problem that might come up. He traveled light and if anything happened he would deal with it as it came up.
The weather in Nikkousato was always fairly arid so traveling away from the village was not the most fun thing to do. It was never fun at all, actually. One wondered why he would even pay this much attention to a situation where nothing interesting was going to happen because he was just walking from one place to another place. It was like a mental toll to get to do something interesting. Very compelling stuff.
He saw some birds along the way, that was pretty cool, right? People like birds. God knows that’s why he trained to be a shinobi so he could monologue about nothing. Yup, nothing at all. Nothing.
