Expanding Horizons [Travel Topic]

Letony had finally come to the network of paths that connected a number of different nations together. He was a virgin to this new location so, it was important for him to follow the directions he received from some fellow shinobi he encountered leaving the outer regions of Nikkousato. With their direction he could easily navigate a pathway with a road. The path seemed to be carved from the thousands of feet which have traveled back and forth across the road for many generations. It was surrounded by grass and foliage. There were massive trees on either side of the path as well, forming a canopy which blocked some parts of the sun’s rays. Letony could hear many birds chirping and squirrels dashing from tree to tree as the wind stirred the leaves. There was an abundant amount of wildlife, but nothing over just a few pounds was in sight. There were also no reptiles around that Letony could see. He was still holding the package as he walked through this environment, following the road’s path to Gekkousato. While walking, Letony was thinking about if he came under attack, what would he do with the package? After a brief thought, he would tie the package in his red sash. Instead using it to support the weight of the package and tie it around his back like a book bag. With this he could still perform hand seals, and move around without worrying if the package dropped. Letony ensured his knot with the sash was tight enough, he didn’t need it slipping off. But no worries, this C-Ranked assignment was just that for a reason, there wasn’t too high of a risk of enemy engagement or risk in general. And so he would continue down the road until he reached Gekkousato’s gates.

Letony returned along the same route he took to reach Gekkousato. He was now quite familiar with path and required no additional help to traverse Kataki Road. It was mystery as to why he didn’t encounter anyone on the road yet, maybe the path he took was a safer route. Letony would ponder this as he walked at a heightened pace toward Nikkousato, unencumbered by the package. He could now move without the additional stress of having to worry about keeping something safe. By this time night had fallen, but this did not hinder Letony’s sense of direction. The environment was rather cool and the crickets kept him company, not to mention the small animals that scurried about at night. There were owls hooting in the distance, an animal frequently summoned by members of the Konowari clan. The trees appeared as tunnels of darkness leading to hell if you ventured too deep off the path. There was no sign of anything threatening. And so, Letony maintained his path until he reached the end of Kataki Road, which would lead him directly to The Sun Scorched Desert. Letony was almost home, where he would get some rest and prepare for more missions in the morning. He traverses The Sun Scorched Desert and enters Nikkousato.
