Karite sighed as she got up that morning. She took her shower and got dressed. She put on her normal shinobi outfit. She put on her black shorts and then started with her tops. Her black shirt hug close to her fishnet long sleeve undershirt. Her curves showing properly. She threw her cloak over her outfit and put her arms threw the sleeves. She decided to close it and put up her hood. She did a couple warm up stretches to make sure she was ready for the patrol. She yawned and walked down to the kitchen, where her sister was waiting. “Hey Hitomi, how the hell are you up so early?” She giggled knowing the answer. Hitomi shook her head. “Breakfast is on the table. Don't do anything stupid while you are out on your mission today. What do you have to do today?" Karite sighed. "I just have to go patrol the village. Did you want to come with?" Hitomi thought for a second while she evaluated what she was doing for the day. "No, sorry. I have too much going on today." Karite smiled weakly. "Alright, I guess I will figure things out myself. Hopefully it will be a relatively quiet day." She finished eating her breakfast and began to walk out the door. "Have a good day, Hitomi." She waved back to her sister. Hitomi responded with a quick wave.
Karite ended up walking through the moonlight plaza as she patrolled the village. She was met with the usual stares as she walked through the village. "Got to love it. Not doing anything but my responsibility and I get glares from everyone. Why do I bother walking through the streets. I am better walking on the roofs with the hope people ignore me." She sighed and continued on her slow patrol through the village.
A young boy accidentally dropped his ball. He chased after it as it rolled towards Karite. She stopped it with her foot and bent down, picking the ball up. She offered it to the young boy. He was hesitant but grabbed the ball and ran off screaming. She sighed as a young man came up to her. "Why don't you leave this village before you scare anyone else. You are a freak and a nuisance. You terrify the villagers with young very presence. If the head priestess and your clan leader were not so protective, we would have had you exiled by now. Just leave and save us the trouble." Her face turned to one of pure anger and malice. Her glare pierced through him as she pushed the cloak aside and prepared to grab her tanto. "Leave. Now." She glared the man down, with her hand on her tanto. The man slowly backed away from her. She took her hand off the tanto and sighed. She slowly continued on with her patrol.
She looked at the gates of the village. She wondered if she was truly better off without this village. While she wasn't strong enough to hold off the head priestess or her sister, she was confident that she could convince them of going on a journey to find peace with herself. She only hoped that she would find some peace before the end. She shook her head and began walking back towards her compound. She watched the various people walk by as her mind analyzed every one of them that got close. She looked for any weapons that might have been used to attack her or the people around her. Not seeing any threats, she sighed and continued back to the Akumu Compound.
