    Hikari Usagi Empty Hikari Usagi

Post by Guest Thu Apr 09, 2020 9:11 pm

    Characters Name

    Hikari Usagi 480x250-Script

    Name: Hikari Usagi
    Nick Name: Kari-Chan || Usagi-Chan [Rabbit-Chan] || Bani-Chan [Bunny-Chan]
    Age: Eighteen
    Gender: Male

    Clan: Usagi
    Bloodline: Usagi No Chikaku

    Origin: Valley of Kings
    Village: Gekkousato

    Appearance:

To describe Hikari, he generally has a sweet and kindly appearance. However, this was upon some other time ago when he was a normal child. Because of the experiments of the Black Rabbit, he and some of his clan members have an appearance that is something far from what it once was. His eyes are pools of black with blue irises and his skin is a pale white. Although it seems docile and gentle, this flesh is actually quite tough. On top of this, he has hands and feet that have nails that reach an inch beyond the flesh due to his transformed state. His feet are curved, bent in a large form to be more representative of a rabbit. Not only that, but there are also his legs that seemed to be enlarged and toned with muscle because of this body’s twisted state. Finally, there is also the features of his head as he actually has long rabbit ears to reach past violet hair that mixes in with strands of white that are in his bangs and sweeping to his shoulders.

As for his clothing, it varies. Hikari usually wears default clothing of traditional Usagi robes. True to their nature, the Usagi have pure white clothing that is printed with their insignia of a rabbit’s paw print. If not white, they usually wear other exotic Ofurisode robes. This is usually referred to as their “Work Wear” due to them tending to clients. Their training and fighting garb usually consist of their customized sandals that represent stilettos due to the lifted wooden heel and metal plating that they wear (Regaria) along with their mesh to protect against Kunai and Shuriken. This is usually exposed by the legs which are not covered since the Usagi’s clothing are various white, gray, chestnut brown, and black slip over tunics (representative of rabbits). This clothing is particularly pressing and tight to be less restricting to their fighting style.

Even as a Usagi Clan member, Hikari does not have a typical appearance due to him not holding true to males who are warriors. Instead of wielding a mallet like most of his clan members, he makes use of Doton and uses it upon his body while not opting for defensive tactics such as sculpting structures. Thus, his clan attire for battle, even though the standard tunic that falls along his front and rear and exposes his thighs, his ankles and calves are covered by a thick coat of white fur that is sewn onto his mesh cloth protecting his body. This also holds true for his wrists and lower arms stopping just short of his elbow and finally covering his collarbone region. This is not only to convey his style of battle and fighting, but also due to him trying to mimic the image of a rabbit as much as possible.

    Height: 5’6”ft
    Weight: 138 lbs

    Personality:

If you could define Hikari, he is nothing short of eccentric. Even though he has had a chaotic life caused by politics and discrimination, he seems to bury it under a façade of passiveness and false jovial optimism. Hikari attempts to take day-by-day with no serious thought behind choice, but rather resorts to traditions and expectations pressed on by others. In doing so, he is a bit deceitful when it comes to his true personality as he marks himself as a “performer” due to one half of his family, and the other rightfully pressing “honor” as a serious means. His militia relative background battles with his carefree personality everyday making him fluctuate between making a solid choice.

As an individual, Hikari can be thought of as simply a “figure.” He acts with a faux charm that comes from his mother’s family, his clan, which mostly has a history with being absolved of duty and simply living life. In doing so, the violet haired boy finds himself participating in the Usagi traditions and activities without hesitation or even feeling forced to do so. He parties, entertains in the clans promiscuous dances and presentations, and not to mention learns the nightlife that he partakes in on the basis while attending his family’s gatherings. Hikari does this happily, not caring much for how his family looks at him, but yet he denies an important part of this: he does not agree with everything his family does.

This is where Hikari’s patriotic side comes in. With his father’s lineage as a shinobi coming into play, he feels some authentic obligation to help others. Even if the Usagi Clan’s traditions consist of being distant from politics and a country’s strife relative to war, Hikari shows concerns for others beyond the clan. Hikari cannot simply stand to see people suffering, and is more than likely to try to go out his way to help if it can be as discreet as possible. This is where Hikari feels dissonance as partaking in this behavior often causes a disagreement with what he wants to be when his clan presses him to “pick a side.”

When it comes to his personal life, Hikari does not seem to be open! Scars run deep as he holds true to some of his clan’s perspectives such as “Men cannot be trusted” and “a woman’s charm is her greatest weapon,” although he wants to break away from that thinking. He sees his clan’s sexualized basis from a traditional perspective due to his clan, but when it comes to seeing citizens, his sense of “honor” comes into play as he tries to see everyone equally. This, once again, causes a dissonance, one that often drifts to his father’s background due to him partaking in his clan’s perspective all his life, but as of late, he drifts to his father’s side as he seemed to crave to know more about the true nature of “men and women” alike.

    History:

Generations of rabbits had come and gone….

Hikari was born during the time of change. When the regime of the Third Gekkoukage was in its late stages, Hikari would experience the animosity of the Usagi Clan. Garouga had been taxing and cutting off the village’s most prominent figures and making the village a fortress. Akari Usagi, a woman who had hoped for the regime of the new Gekkoukage, that Seraphina Kaguya would lead the Usagi out of despair so that they could be a part of the village and she would give birth to her child there. However, it was only a dream at that moment, and Garouga had finally taken control of the village. He would lead the people while the Usagi would remain in the wilds, seething with more hate for men.

Hikari would soak up this atmosphere...to an extent. He had no choice but to hear since...he was blind!

Although the Usagi were bitter, Akari was a bright woman with warmth in her heart. She took time to explain to her son the circumstances of the Usagi. She had taught him the ways of the clan along with the tolerance of being a human being. It was not that Akari did not feel this disdain from the circumstance, but rather she prioritized her son’s mental well-being. After all, the Usagi clan were a matriarch-based clan since their divorce from Gekkousato, and Hikari was one of few males growing in the generation who was growing with a clan of females.

Hikari would feel the difference. Himself and the few brothers he had amongst the clan would acknowledge they were overwhelmed in numbers. However, they would still be trained with their sisters of the clan and soak up traditions. Occasional jabs and pokes from the matriarchs would remind them of the sexism of the clan, and would only encourage them to work hard to be acknowledged by their mothers and peers. Along with the other males, Hikari and his brethren would be called the “Suns of Usagi” as a play on words for them being males. It was through Akemi, a matriarch and grandmother of her grandchildren that she would convince the clan that the males would have their uses.

He grew up over the decade from him being young as a Usagi Clan member to the point he would turn fourteen. By then, Hikari and his siblings would learn everything that an Academy Student would learn, but through Usagi tradition. He would learn how to defend himself, scavenge in the wilds, and even rely on the clan’s summons to help him with his hunting and planning. It was not until mid-year that Hikari’s life would change as Akemi Usagi and his grandmother Akari Usagi would begin to change his life. They would take treks to Gekkousato as the regime of Kage changed from one person to the next. It was then Hikari discovered something new: civilization beyond the Usagi Settlement.

Hikari was amazed by Gekkousato! He would go to the village with any of the Mothers of the clan whenever he would get the chance and would insist on seeing what it had to offer. He was oblivious of the murders and death, but he decided after seeing the village so many times that he desired to live among actual people that were not his clan. He was exposed to new experiences: Knowing his father, learning about the shinobi system, and not to mention learning there are peers like himself that he did not have to call “Sisters.”

Akari Usagi saw the passion in her son’s eyes, and as the Usagi slowly but surely shifted to the Usagi Settlement and Gekkousato as a shared home, she would raise her son in the village so he may grow among people. Hikari would invest himself in the village. He even would be impressed by the stories and seeing the image of Seraphina Kaguya who seemed more ideal than his Grandmother who was a Clan Head. With a smile, he decided he wanted to devote himself to the village just like the Kage.

Hikari would have to go through the embarrassment of going through the Academy at his age. He was fifteen and going to school with others, but the Usagi had neglected school by being in the wilds. However, he was aware of things not most shinobi were by the time he was within his class. He knew how to summon as the Usagi depended on the Usagi creatures to forage, he was well aware of basic principles of using chakra for most of his abilities, and even without the ability to perform Genjutsu because of his blindness; he was still able to pass the Academy with other skills he learned.

Hikari was a full-fledged shinobi of Gekkousato...and even more...he was a part of Summon Corps with himself and his horde of rabbits!

Showing a variety of skill, Hikari demonstrated he is able to work together with the natural creatures due to him staying in the wilds for so long. Due to the odd nature of the Usagi Clan, many people underestimated him, which was something used to his advantage. He would go on missions to tame the wild animals using himself and the rabbit summons. He would scout around the village, making sure nothing attacked as he would see to his job with pride. He may not be respected by the Usagi Clan’s majority since he chose to be a shinobi, but he had his mother’s love and adoration along with the pride he has with the village. It is enough to get him through the day as he acts as a scout for the village.
