Appearance: This dōjutsu usually is manifested as very distinctive eyes, characterized by their enlarged and featureless white irides with no visible pupils. It is when the eyes are active that the pupils become more distinct, usually showing the outline of the pupil and iris. The veins on the temples begin to bulge in conjunction with the more defined eyes.
Abilities:
When the Byakugan is activated, the user gains an extra-sensory perception, which gives them penetrating sight and telescopic vision. This allows them to see the tenketsu; the internal chakra circulatory system 361 pressure points. This vision also grants the member a near 360° view of their surroundings, the higher the skill of the clan member, the further the distance from which they can sense incoming attacks.
While active, the users vision goes dark, with their surroundings appearing faded. They can still see normal, its just gray and dark. However the chakra network of other humans will glow a bright blue, showing them the internal structure of that person. This allows them to see each chakra point in the body, but also allows them to track that person even through vision impairment, making them great trackers.
Weakness:
Keen Sight Curse (Bloodline Weakness) - Despite their ability to perceive through walls and and illusions, the keen eyesight of the Bloodline causes blinding related jutsu have twice the effect and will interrupt any action being taken at that moment by the bloodline possessor. This means if a flash of light or blinding attack would blind the user for one post, it is extended to two. This will also cause the eye to deactivate instantly, needing to be recast the next post.
