Another mission to go on, most likely my last one for the week as the village saw it fit to give me one more. I could not blame them though, for I had been doing every mission assigned to me and knocking them out of the park. Today I was charged with scouting the border and had been assigned with another high up from the village. My last mission with a stronger shinobi had gone very well, and even though I normally do not care for people stronger than me, it was nice to see what a high-ranking ninja could do. If today went smoothly then it would be the same case, a perfectly executed mission and the chance to work with a powerful teammate.
The mission sent me to the edge of the jungle, where I was tasked with patrolling and ensuring the border of the Moon village was protected. With the jungle being dense there were plenty of places for a criminal or rogue ninja to hide, and maybe even infiltrate the village. So me and my partner were sent here to just make sure nothing fishy was going on. Like most instances I was the first to arrive, always making sure to arrive to the meeting point on time. I had never met my partner before, but the mission detailed this specific spot as our meeting location. And unless I got the directions wrong, I had managed to make it here before her.
Today I decided to wear my white short sleeve jacket, unzipped and open. My ninja gear was strapped to the inside of my coat for easy access. Like normal I tied my fluffy white hair up and pinned it, as the heat of the jungle was already starting to make me sweat. Leaned up against a tree I simply started to relax, waiting for whoever was going to team up with me to arrive.
