Death to the Moon[Travel]

Two masked men would leap from the trees at the side of the road and land 15 meters ahead of Shinigai as he made his way to Debon. Meizu (Tatsuya) and Gozu (his puppet) had found their latest victim.


The two shinobi wasted no time in attacking. As soon as they landed Gozu, the puppet, would dash forward and leap covering the 15 meters between the two parties immediately, which was shockingly fast for any but the strongest of shinobi. A hidden meter-long straight sword would extend from the “man’s” right sleeve, the blade dripping with a faintly purple transparent liquid, and he would swing it vertically downward at Ryojin’s head whilst being in mid-air just above him. The sun was also to the Demon Brothers’ back giving him the advantage. If Ryojin looked up at Gozu to block he’d be looking directly into the sun, blinding him. Gozu let out a wailing battle cry as he attacked.

“Hiiiiiiiiiiiya!”

At the same time, his “brother” lept at their opponent Meizu (actually Tatsuya) would quickly weave a set of kata and cast the Swamp of the Underworld technique. Right as Gozu’s blade was descending toward him the ground underneath Ryojin would collapse as it instantly turned into a 20-meter wide, 10-meter deep swamp of sticky mud, centered on Ryojin. If he wasn’t careful the muck would suck down his entire body. It was a dangerous pincer attack from both above and below!

A Fight? A demon? Oh it had been a while since this new demon had had a fight with anyone. A smile would appear on the man's face for a second as he he would watch the first man launch himself into the sky and toward Shinigai. Sure any normal human would begin to fear this man as he seemed to be quick with his movement but this man didn't "Oni" He would say as the beast would clear half of the distance. Suddenly his body would begin to push his own bone cells from his body and change his appearance. The man was about to show his opponent true terror. The layer of bone would cover his whole body and then create an exact replica of the man's skeleton structure. Dance of the Oni was now activated.

His body would feel limber and he would feel quicker as he would notice the other brother upon the ground, he would lower his body and then jump to the right landing just as the man would finish his signs and the first brother would try to strike his original position. Then he would jump toward the second brother with his foot out. Covering 10 meters he would know that it would not reach the enemy but it would help him cover just enough ground to be a few feet from the man and out of the danger of the mud. His black eyes looking upon the enemy as he would await the first brother to attack.

As Meizu saw the Kaguya charging toward him he made a single hand sign and thick mist descended over the battlefield, the Hidden Mist Jutsu. Meizu also extracted one kunai with an explosive note wrapped around its hilt. He would throw it toward Shinigai’s last seen position and begin to run, immediately detonating the tag as soon as it got within range to hit the man. He didn’t expect this to do much but the sound of the explosion would cover the sound of his movement so he could hide cleanly in the mist.

He would dash away from Shinigai into the mist, using the explosion as cover, and would move his full 7 meters up and away from Shinigai. Gozu would quickly and silently fly through the air back to Meizu’s side. The puppet had been designed to pass for a human so it did not make any of the normal clackety-clack sounds puppets normally made when they moved.

Suddenly the area would become full of mist and neither the boy or the enemy could see. But shinigai knew the direction he would need to go. Suddenly an explosion would occur. Shinigai would be just at the edge of it but he would still take a hit. The explosion was strong but his body armor was stronger. He would not feel the attack on his body and he would simply shake it off. He had no time for a fight he had plans, but if he would ever meet this enemy again he would be glad to show them the true strength of a kaguya. Shinigai would begin to walk forward 9 meters as he would continue in the direction the village was, which he had been facing the whole time.

Gozu and Meizu waited in the mist but the sound of the boy's footsteps grew distant before vanishing entirely, he had used the mist as cover to flee. That was fine, there was always another day, another fight. The duo slipped back as well in the opposite direction that they heard the boy running and made their own tracks out of the area.
