    Mission Info:

Ami was not quite sure how to handle the situations that were slowly starting to gravely concern her. If the sun village thought that their missing children's case was a pain, at least the village was not being littered with dead bodies...at least as far as she could tell. She shuddered at the prospect that there may be a possibility that the poor children might have died, quickly regretting feeling any resentment to their growing case. But it was true, Gekkousato was faced with more than just a dilemma. Originally she had only thought it was an isolated event; perhaps someone had drank too much or been knocked on the wrong side of their head and killed a man. No...as she got word of the next set of missing bodies, her heart sank. It was like a video game gone horribly wrong and there was no way of stopping whoever and whatever was behind it. She polished off the last drops of her coffee before setting out to the crime scene...or in this case crime scenes. From what she had been told, the bodies were found quite close to one another, one at Gekkousato Falls and one at the Star Temple. Well at least that was a reduction in leg work for the kunoichi, she supposed.

She walked down the streets of her village, for the first time unsure of what to make of what was happening. It seemed that whoever was behind the murders only attacked those that were defenseless, or rather non-shinobi. It seemed like a reasonable target choice but out of now four or five bodies, she failed to see the connection between the victims. Were they somehow connected behind the scenes or were they just chosen randomly? It didn't sit well with her either choice but it would greatly affect how the investigation would continue. If they could find some kind of tie...any small clue perhaps they could prevent the next attack. She had studied the files of the deceased, studied the autopsy reports, went to the houses of the victims...but nothing. She let out a dejected sigh as she reached the crime scene, her eyes scanning the area immediately before even reaching the body. Ami had been to Gekkousato Falls only once before and it was hard to imagine that such a tranquil place would be disrupted so violently by a grisly murder.

"Ami, over here!" called the familiar voice of the coroner, huddled over what she presumed to be the body. The girl gave him a strained smile. She was happy to have developed a close relationship with the man but would have preferred if it had not been over the body counts and the sacrifices of the people in her village. The water around the deceased was red from his blood. He was lying face down, his clothes cut and torn in several places. It didn't take the coroner to tell her his cause of death. It seemed that his ryo and valuables were intact, as had been the other five murders that had happened on her watch. "What do we have?" she was speaking more to herself than to the man beside her, her tone making her sound like a police officer than anything else. Blood force trauma wounds, knife wounds, and of course the big red A that was painted over his body. It seemed that the murderer really liked to pick on the wealthy, having slaughtered a doctor, a businessman and now from the looks of this man, a lawyer. His business card from inside his wallet would confirm his profession.

Did the murderer have some kind of internal grudge with professional people?

Reading her mind, the coroner confirmed that out of at least three of the five victims, they were male and wealthy, having held specialized professions. The girl nodded her head and looked at the body. It still didn't explain why none of his possessions were taken. If the killer was after money, the wads of bills and the expensive jewelry the deceased wore should have been taken. Was it safe then to suggest that he was not after his riches? Or the riches of all those he had killed up to this point? Then why did he target wealthy people? So many unanswered questions...more of them appearing the more bodies they found.
