Nobody would understand her obsession with peach blossom trees, or just with trees in general it seemed. Ami always loved flowers, from sakura to momo and had a fascination with tree plantation. Perhaps it reminded her of her mother, who was a skilled ikebana teacher. Her mother could appreciate every petal and every leaf, which in a barren place like the old Hyuuga compounds, was a talent gone to waste. Ami always found solace in plants, spending hours in spots like bamboo forests at a young age. It was her power spot for the longest time, the green and simplicity of the bare trunks reminded her of a strange tranquility. She could sit in a bamboo forest all day, either training or thinking or reading. As she grew older she would start to plant her own trees, starting with her favourite flowers--cherry and peach blossoms.
She wanted the world to be awakened to the beauty that lay in forests of flowers. So she set out on a lifelong mission, to plant as many trees as she could of her favourite flowers, if weather conditions permit. Ami wanted the world to appreciate the flowers as she appreciated them, going so far as to research ways to make even the most extreme and harsh of climates suitable for tree planting and growth. How strange it was, as she ventured on her first tree planting mission. The girl would start close to home, close to Gekkousato. Of course her dream was to build an entire foresr, but such would require a permit or something that she simply didn't want to go through the hassle of doing.
But if it was just one tree...
She made her way beyond the moon village gates, ber eyes resting on Kataki Road. She knew this was a dangerous road, at least for merchants and travelers. But the road and its surroundings lacked colour and vibrance, two things that were super important for a Hyuuga. The girl would set off on a side road, away from prying eyes of passersby and begin to look around at the soil. A few boring looking trees were planted here tens of years ago. But they all were of the same dark green colour, with no other distinguishable features from one another. She wondered if the soil in between these trees were good for peach blossom trees, touching it with her hands as she studied. It would be super nice if people could stop in the middle of their travels to just appreciate the beautiful flowers on the trees, especially in the spring time. It would bring more people to Kataki Road.
Such was the thought process of a tree planter, or a flower lover.
