Appearance:


This petite girl stands a little short for others her age, not quite reaching five feet tall. However, she appears to be in the beginning of her teenage years, so there is still time for her to grow. Her complexion is fair like silken cream with little to no scarring to it or birthmarks to mar it. Pale, golden blonde hair has been roughly trimmed by hand to around her neck. The bangs that frame her face have been cut a little unevenly, with the right hanging longer than her left. While it can be difficult to keep her hair out from in front of her eyes; the moments they are can be strange. One eye is a deep amber brown that almost reflects red when caught dead in the light, and the other is a clear crystal blue. Both are framed by a thick set of lashes that draw attention to them, and her cheeks are gently brushed with a rosy hue. She wears an off-shoulder white dress over her black Shinobi training attire decorated with blue ribbons and a geometric trim. Her boots hang off of her slender calves, often needing be retied to avoid slipping down around her delicate feet.

Personality:

Seijun is a quiet girl, never raising her voice save for the most extreme of circumstances. This does lead to her often being the person that people just forget is occupying the room when she just lapses into silence to listen to other more outspoken people speaking.There have been more than a few startled jolts whenever she does decide to speak up and contribute to the conversation again. She feels things deeply making her happiest moments radiant and full of smiles and laughter, while her lowest points are filled with deep sorrow and misery. In her worst moments she will do her best to distance herself from the people around her allowing her to deal with her feelings in isolation. To her, it feels like the best way to avoid troubling others; especially those she calls her friends or allies. These friends feel easy to make with her to her as her training has shown her a world where she can see through countless perspectives and different views leaving her to be an open minded person.

Each time she uses her jutsu it acts as a constant reminder that no matter how easily it can be forgotten out in the field or in battle, they were all living beings that have their own hopes, dreams, and fears. To this day she is still a vegetarian and dislikes the thought of contributing to an animal's death herself preferring tofu and other things to substitute for source of protein. This empathetic awareness comes at a price, as with the desire to cross over the things that divide others as individuals, she has a bad habit of excusing overarching flaws in a person and their personality. Whether it is dismissed because of a bad day or a bad childhood; she only wants to see the best in everyone leaving her naive and relatively easy to lie to. When it comes to conflict she will do what she must for her village, but there is no denying the remorse she may feel if undue harm or casualties occur. The things she has seen through other people's eyes have opened her eyes to the reality she lives in, leaving her to mature faster than most her age like many other young Shinobi placed in the program.

History:

Seijun was born in the winter to Botan and Ichika of the Yamanaka Clan in the Sun Village. While her father worked as an administrative advisor in the lower rung of the village's bureaucratic hierarchy, her mother was used to going out in the field to provide reconnaissance on missions. This took her to many place in and outside of the lands Seijun would come to know, and it led to many close calls. She was known to those outside the family as being cold and distant, while her father was a man that just about anyone could get along with. Now, this did change around other Yamanaka and her family, as she was able to express the more gentle aspects of herself without fear of being seen as a weaker Shinobi because of it. Alone they could have a loving family and find safety from hardship.

Still, when Seijun was conceived there was no denying that Ichika grew tired of not being able to go out on missions like she was used to. She would go out of her way to find little things to nitpick in order to pass the time, or take on far too many chores than one should. Botan could see through her boredom, and often encouraged Ichika's attention towards other productive things by suggesting she take the time to pick up an instrument giving her bowed lyre on their anniversary. After Seijun's birth, Ichika continued to play delighting the Yamanaka and village with her music and in turn teaching it to Seijun as she grew older. This inspired a creative side of Seijun that she held on to throughout her life. As a child Seijun was not known for having many friends outside of her clan, though she was not disliked or mocked either. She was merely the one that others brought to tag along with them as a passive observer and an unremarkable friendly face. It was just enough that her parents and elders were not worried about her socialization; chalking it up to Seijun merely being the quiet person that she was.

When she came to the age that going into the academy was an option, her parents were elated putting up little resistance. To them, it would be an honor to have their daughter following in many other shinobi's first steps towards finding a place to serve in the village. Seijun liked the idea of it, if only because she often dreamed of what it could be like beyond the sands and what else the world had waiting for her. She could find new stories out there or see the beauty of nature. When she took to her clan's training she actually showed a natural inclination towards it. The only complaint her elders would have would be that she did not respond particularly well to shows of violence when observing through the eyes of a hunter that allowed it. This they claimed would unfortunately have to be faced over time, but they felt that someday as she grew older that she would come to accept it.

Seijun disliked the idea of hurting others, but understood that there could be some terrible people out there that wouldn't think twice about it only seeking their own gain or to sow discord in the lands. So, she decided to try to broaden her sensory capabilities wanting to someday be among the people to root out danger before it could strike. She also preferred the art of illusion and disorientating her sparring opponents before they became an issue. Her frail physique always left her lacking when it came to hand to hand combat, but this just encouraged her to try to improve on other things like growing more nimble and using her small size to her advantage. She could fit in places that others could not, broadening the possibilities when it came to hiding herself from view.

She eventually graduated to Genin at the fair age of fourteen, and now she continues to strive to find the limits and capabilities of her Kekkei Genkai, and strives to silently unravel the mysteries that is another person's psyche. To understand another was to eventually understand their common faults and weaknesses, including the ones that she can find in herself. It also served to teach her how to better encourage others around her lifting them to their potential. While the moment doesn't come often, there is no denying that Seijun enjoys helping and teaching whenever opportune moments arise. Someday she wants to be someone in the village that could be counted on for worldly matters and for seeking out information that no one wants found.
