    It was day in day out missions for a village that didn't seem to care. Loyalty duty honor to as series of ideals and beliefs that at times seemed meaningless to any and all who took part in upholding them. Why be honorable and good if it only resulted in never moving forward or gaining any meaningful ground whatsoever in life? Why continue to put in effort into something that was so meaningless and frustrating? Because it was the right thing to do? Because an income and livelihood were important? No it was all just bullshit and just plain fucking wrong. Why should you live your life in servitude to a loveless master? As his anger grew Gen simply was done and in need of a break. Everything moving so rapidly and out of control in his life, nothing seemed to be in the right place. All of his interactions with friends and the family he had built felt wrong or forced. He couldn't help but shake the feeling that he was moving through mud and had lost himself along the way. His isolation he had lived in happily, away from the life of a ninja for several years was seeming more and more blissful with every step on the road he had started walking. His life was out of his control now and he would find respite one way or another. He traveled for hours, finally wounding up along the winding path towards the champions isle. He smirked as he realized that here was a place that he could simply throw himself into battle and forget about everything for a while. Here was a place that he could do as he pleased and be unknown. He could simply fade away for a moment....
