Susan's sensations! [Group Mission]

Mission Details:

Cure dragged himself wearily from another nightmare. He took a moment to adjust himself and put on his normal carefully neutral face before obscuring his features as normal making it questionable what his gender and true identity might be. He grabbed his katanna's, senbons, explosive notes, and medical bag; before rushing out the door swiftly. He had a mission to do today and he had made sure he had awoken extra early so that he would have more then enough time to ensure he was composed and ready for the mission as well as interacting with the two who would be his squad mates this go around. After stopping to grab some caffeine Cure began to make his way the mission site slowly. Cure read up on how dangerous the scorpions were as well as some of their cunning behaviors such as hiding in the sand and he frowned softly.

He didn't know why but somehow he felt this mission was going to be far too tedious. Resolving not to overthink it before he even started Cure kept his mind focused on completing the mission as swiftly as possible so that he could go nurse the headache that kept coming back an forth when finally he arrived at the mountain that has been plagued by scorpions. Cure didn't currently see wither of his squad mates yet so he thought he'd successfully managed to arrive early enough to relax. But he knew that this would definitely not last too long so he ensured he can enjoy it for a good bit before going ahead and getting started on tracking the scorpions they came here after. He did not go to far from the meetup spot in case his squad mates arrived in his absence but after seeing the noon day sun Cure decided to activate his Infrared Jutsu to make the search easier. It was already afternoon going on evening so the desert was a bit darker and more cool.

This way Cure did not harm his eye's using the jutsu like he might have if he tried this in the middle of the day. After he decided to activate Infrared Vision Cure noticed his first scorpion. It was hiding in the sand below the shadow of a pretty huge cactus. The sand there was absolutely cool so the scorpion's body definitely stood out with it's heated body. Cure apparently wasn't the only one to notice the other's present and he felt irritated as he saw the scorpion pop up swinging it's tail back and forth threateningly as if to tell Cure to back off. Cure had a sour frown on his face as he considered what he should do before he suddenly heard someone...no someone's calling out behind him. One voice sounded familiar while the other he'd never heard before.....

He had been wandering the area for a long while now and could not have been more at peace now. A lot had happened to him in the last few weeks of his life. He had made some friends who were all unique and up and coming shinobi with various life goals and aspirations, whilst he only cared about being the worlds greatest Hunter-Nin. He was content being a dog on a leash for the village, knowing that order was more important then anything else. He had also met the love of his young life, Hyuuga Ami. She was beautiful, inside and out and the spirit of true warrior within her. Like himself she seemed to have a penchant for weapons and of course she was great with Taijutsu as well. He had found someone who loved the martial arts as much as himself and it was grand.

Keiji had wound up in the Sun village by happenstance really, but after coming there he choose to see all that it had to offer. They had some fantastic smiths and weapon experts here in the village, and of course everyone knew that the brothers of the Sun lived here and trained here, Taijutsu experts with amazing strength. There was also a good mount of Kyujutsu experts here, something Keiji was not as familiar with, bows being somewhat foreign to him. During his walk about, he heard of a problem with the local Susan Scorpions, which were nasty creatures that popped out of the sands on the unsuspecting traveler.

Moving to leave the village he would set out straight from the village gates, his Mari-Blade sheathed upon his lower back. He was wearing an actual straw Jingasa today to give his body a semblance of shading as the bewildering heat of the desert was different from that of the Onsen's that he loved so much, as it both boiled you and dried you out at the same time. Taking a good long drink from his canteen he would holster it before continuing onwards, eventually coming upon a very familiar hair tone and someone who wore the clothes of a medical professional. Moving towards Ami without paying attention to the surroundings he would speak, "What are you doing all the way out here Ami?", he would then bow slightly to the other person and announce himself, "I am Tsuyoiito Keiji, pleased to meet you?...", he was completely unaware of the scorpion near them.

Well Cure couldn't simply allow himself to be just threatened like that but his moment of distraction with the two newcomers nearly costed him as the scorpion sprang at him as he looked away for just that moment but luckily he looked back quickly enough to notice and kick it away carefully avoiding the stinger When suddenly he noticed another two thermal light's appear at the edge of his vision as two scorpions that were buried farther then his infrared sight could reach popped up behind him one of them managing to scratch his arm just barely as Cure jumped away into the direction he kicked the other scorpion twisting his body sideways so he could have all the scorpions in sight. Even in such a precarious situation Cure remembered to speak in a gender-neutral low voice as he replied. "Saw it, Cure, Help Please." In fact Cure was a man of logic and results so it was impossible for his pride to stop him from seeking help when he knew he was in over his head. However that was the least of his concerns for now. Even if he claimed to be super man three scorpions plus a successful sneak attack equaled a bad day. Before the scorpions could attack again Cure took the quick breath in the confrontation, as the scorpions acknowledged the presence of others they had not calculated during their sneak attack, to take stock of his situation. 'Dizzy.' This was his first observation. The venom was potent and fast acting, if possible he needed to quickly take one of the antidote he prepared in his medical bag he always carried with him. 'My limbs are numb and there's a fiery burn in my chest.' This was the second thing he noticed again he needed that antidote. '!!!! These Fuckers are still gunning for me!' The third thing he noted in the quick few seconds he was taking stock of the situation was that it seemed the scorpions were readying their bodies to move against him all at once swiftly. Their plan was obvious! Get rid of Cure quickly then decide whether to run or regroup and attack the other two. 'Your Mom! Am I so easy to kill? Die!' Even someone as methodical and logical as Cure were pissed at the three scorpion's shameless actions and biting his lip to break through the dizziness Cure jumped up somersaulting in the air before striking the ground below him throwing rocks from the mountain surface around with the impact. There was no way the scorpions could get close without being crushed! And while that hampered them Cure would try and quickly find the antidote in his medical bag. So long as the two ninja didn't abandon him he could probably get the antidote and inject himself before he had to deal with the scorpions again. This would be based solely on if the tow strangers helped Cure distract the vicious beasts long enough so he could cure himself....

Keiji was unaware of the enemies until Cure suddenly performed a massive kick and broke up the ground around him, Ami activating her byakugan as well at that moment. Taking stock if the situation he noted all of the enemies about them and that they were scorpions, no doubt poisonous and deadly as well. Breathing in deeply before exhaling he would draw his Mari-Blade and jump to his right five meters, landing a good ways away from the enemies.

Activating the wrappings in his forearm and on the blades hilt he would let the blade hang simply holding on to the fabric as he began to spin it around his frame and build up centripetal force with the large weapon, seemingly controlling it like it was nothing. From there he would bring it down in a quick and powerful arc upon the furthest scorpion cleaving it in two with his zanbato sized blade. Pulling it back towards him he continued to spin it around himself like a kusarigama as he waited for the scorpions to attack again.

Speaking to the group he would shout, "You alright there? Ami be careful!", he was protective of her even though he had no reason to be, she was stronger then him in many ways now. The newcomer was the one he was worried most about however as they had been stung by the scorpions and kami knows what level of damage was being wrought upon them right now.

With swift practiced movements Cure applied the antidote getting rid of the venom in the fastest time possible. It was just in time to join in the fun as two of the scorpions were swiftly suppressed and about time the third arrived Cure had activated chakra scalpel. With the ringing clash of hardened skin versus tough carapace, Cure smirked as he took the time where the startled scorpion was caught off guard to counter with a swift chop to the tip of the scorpions tail. With a clean slice the offensive stinger clacked to the ground. Even better Cure was sure this was the same scorpion that poisoned him before, so it was Some nice revenge.

"No more tip for you," Cure chuckled evilly at his crude vengeance. Meanwhile with a furious screech at the loss of one of it's most important limbs the scorpion attempted to attack, berserk, with it's claws. It was far less dangerous without it's stinger as a way to inject it's deadly poison, but Cure would not easily underestimate it just because of this. After all Cure once read some scorpions could mix their poison with their saliva and produce acidic and venomous spit. Luckily as Cure slowly killed the enraged scorpion it seemed it either had no such ability or could not use it for whatever reason. After finishing off the scorpion Cure attempted to properly check his wound now that he had the time, closing it after confirming it was going to be fine after all. After he would see if the other two strangers needed medical attention, assuming they finished their scorpions, and if not he'd help finish them.

As cure and himself had quickly and throughly dispatched of their foes it seemed the battle was coming to end, only Ami was left dealing with her foe in a somewhat sadistic manner, but Keiji wouldnt judge. Everyone had something going on and he wasnt his place how to tell another worry to fight, he also hated bugs so that helped in easing his mind towards the sadism she was exhibiting. Continuing the rotation if his blade around himself he would edge closer to Cure and act as a shield for him incase there were more scorpions laying in wait.

Speaking up towards cure his voice would carry some on the battle field, "Are you alright Cure? It seems you are a practitioner of the medical arts, handy.", a good doctor was always a strong contact to have, as you never know when you could need one in their line of work. He would survey the field once more trying to assess if there were any additional enemies around but couldnt see any yet.

"Oh is that you Keji?" When Cure had a better look at the familiar face he recognized the vigilante-like Moon ninja he'd gone on two missions back-to-back  with recently. Strange what was a hunter ninja doing in such remote mountains. Not that Cure was the type to curb his curiosity out of social politeness. As such Cure asked, "What's a Moon hunter ninja doing in a remote mountain like this? Also...." After pausing Cure looked pointedly toward the Kunoichi before continuing. "Also she doesn't look like she needs help, but is it okay to leave her be like that? After all these scorpions travel in big groups and use wave tactics when hunting. Coupled with their ability to hide in the sand, these things are truly troublesome! And I can't use infrared vision that much, it's too damaging. Too bad I don't have a useful dojutsu like Sharingan or Byakugan or something!" As Cure spoke he was continuously looking around as if searching for something, but after a short while he took off his glasses holding his eyes in pain. It was so frustrating! The next wave would surely come soon, but he had no good sensory jutsu to track them through the sand. Cure shot them an apologetic look. They were stuck like sitting ducks in the sand and Cure had dragged them into this! It wasn't a good feeling. He needed to be stronger!

After making sure Cure was okay and listening to the ninja speak he would respond in turn, a lightness evident in his voice, "I go wherever I am told these days unfortuently. It's hard and leaves me wanting a reprieve quite often. As far as Ami goes... she is more then capable and currently higher skilled then both of us in combat. She is like my own little loving warrior princess.", noticing Ami getting carried away, he would leave Cure's side and catch his blade as he walked towards Ami.

Letting her finish her raging strikes he would place his free right hand on her left and maneuver himself slightly in front of her as he looked into her eyes, "Be still my love. There will be more enemies to kill. What do you see and where?", he would sheath his blade before performing some hand signs and using the raining at will jutsu, covering the immediate area in rain.

Performing more hand signs he would hold this jutsu for when the first scorpion showed it self to him and to which he would fire off a water shark projectile directly at it, crushing its carapace into itself and causing it to squirm and die violently. He took no pleasure in fighting these beasts but he would protect Ami with his life.

Cure took a moment to soothe his eyes before preparing for the next assault. He wasn't sure where the new scorpions would come from but he had to prepare for every possible outcome. Cure sighed in relief at the hunter ninja's words, but also filed away their obvious relationship for later pondering. Cure followed Keiji towards Ami. When he heard the man's words he couldn't help but ask,"What does she see?"

Cure thought the man was confused for a moment before realizing that perhaps Ami had a real sensory jutsu! That would be amazing as the little fockers wouldn't be able to sneak up on them then. Preparing for as much as possibly could, Cure took out both his katanna's as he waited in the sudden rainy mist for their next opponents to appear. He strained all his other senses in preparation. Preparing to swing at the first non-ally movement!

"Be Careful Cure." At Ami's words Cure would tense up sweeping his senses around just in time to catch the venomous bugs crawling up silently behind him. With an angry punt Cure sent a chakra enhanced foot flying at one of the scorpions, sending it flying through the sky while he slung four more senbons at the second scorpion. Temporarily they immobilized the scorpion long enough for Cure to gather and focus his chakra in his fist again. He struck down viciously as he crushed the scorpion starting at it's center leaving it in a small crater.

Cherry Blossom Impact! After using this move twice in a row Cure was already exhausted. However before he had a chance to take a break, the other scorpion was falling back toward the ground. Cure noticed it as it falling through the same hole in the mist that it had made when Cure had punted it straight up into the sky. Even though he saw it coming Cure still ended up getting stung again as he did three quick medical strikes and pulled out a Katanna slicing the stunned scorpion in half. Not exactly liking his screw up in the end but satisfied With the end result, Cure began giving himself the antidote again.
