Safety First [Group]

Stone met with the tap of their feet, a red haired young man running down many streets within Gekkousato. Long hair whipping in the wind with each brisk step Rin took. Of course his hair was pulled into a rat tail so it’s not simply cascading past his shoulders. His eyes, green as a pair of emeralds, attentively watch where he is going. Rin’s body weaving around the crowds and even taking shortcuts via cutting through the alleyways.

Garbed in the dark green flak jacket with the moon insignia on his back. Short dark sleeves can be seen covering the upper part of Rin’s arms as his vest contained the kunai and basic quality of wires. Secured at his hip just below the jacket is a sheathed katana that’s supported by his leather belt. Otherwise he is garbed in dark slacks and leather brown sandals. Of course he is also carrying a knapsack which contains food, clothes, and his canteen of water. Afterall, they are supposed to be traveling, and the Sun Village isn’t exactly what Rin would call close either.

There was a carriage in one of the streets however, and there were people oddly crowding around the wagon. A click of his tongue as his emerald eyes looked close to the sun. Indicating that he maybe has half an hour left to reach the rendezvous point, and if this wagon was going to maintain this speed the Rin will surely be late. So with a leap Rin ascended up to a quarter of a building’s height, chakra laced on his hands and feet that would magnetize himself to the surface of these walls. Still Rin alternated by leaping between these sandwiched buildings as each leap ascended higher. Until he comes upon the roof, and thus Rin will proceed to run and jump from building to building. Getting closer to the clearing with the single tree. This was an escort mission, but Rin still didn’t want to be late again.

To be frank Rin didn’t really expect that the person he was to assist was rather uptight. Still with a smirk on his lips, Rin nods his head acknowledging Shinigai.

”Right you are. The name is Rin Tohsaka, nice to meet ya.” The red head’s eyes twinkle as he spoke in an almost carefree tone. The mention of Shinigai inheriting the Kaguya clan’s name was pleasantly surprising to the genin.

”Kaguya huh? Well then you’re like a noble around here.” Stroking the man’s ego if it is labeled as such as Rin was hoping to break down this wall. This invisible barrier that Shinigai seems to have up that keeps the genin beyond arm’s length. Although his smirk lowered when Shinigai referred to him as a boy. Not only was Rin not recognized as a shinobi, but the Kaguya didn’t even consider that Rin isn’t the type to let trivial things like this get under his skin.

”Sure thing.” Rin’s voice wasn’t as carefree anymore, and he realized that this was going to be a long trip. Still, the teen proceeded to hang back as he was to guard the rear of the wagon. His eyes continue to focus on their surroundings albeit Rin doubts that there would be an attack so close to their village. It just seems like a stupid idea to Rin, but there have been people in history where bold moves can pay off. Which encourages people to try something just as bold, and more than likely fail in their own blood.

As the day would go on the young man would ignore the threat for a couple miles as he would make his ways through out the kataki road. The people would follow him along the roads as he continued and would look up at the cart carrying the over zealous man. His head would begin to ache as they would walk. Shinigai had his own personal reasons for not taking care of the people who were following him. They were a group of bandits but shinigai could not let himself attack them. His hate for the man riding in the carriage was growing and feeding what would be the demon that rested inside of him. It had been a while since this demon had taken any form in the young man's mind but it was fine for him until he would begin to feel lonely. His loneliness was the quiet type. He had never really noticed how much he missed this demon until after he tried to kill Ami. Sure he would come to regret the actions he would take against his young friend but he would grow even more wanting for the man that would say vulgar things in his mind.

THe village would be not too far away now as he would notice the people who were following him would leave for a bit. Was it because they wanted to start things between the two villages and make it seem as if the sun village was unable to protect the people and the nobles they send to them. The sands of the area would be blown around by the wind as the group would make their way through the kataki road of the sun village. Shinigai's eyes cutting back and forth to watch for anyone attacking the group. Sure they had made it this close to the village and didn't expect for someone to make their attack. As the group would make their way into the village shinigai would remember his fun times here. As he would look around and try to find any familiar faces he would become a bit sad but would quickly shake it off of his face and look toward the meeting place. As they would stop the carriage the man would walk out and look at shinigai. Scoffing he would walk past him and shinigai would simply roll his eyes. He was glad that he could rid himself of this obnoxious man and could make his way back to the village. It was time for him to go home. As he would look for the other boy but could not find him he would just shrug his shoulders and continue on.
