Fortify the Outpost [Group]

The green haired Hyuuga stirred in her sleep, the sun's rays hitting her eyes and causing her to wake up. The girl had suffered from a restless night, and didn't want to get out of bed. But she remembered that she had taken on a mission just before returning home, but had been too tired to look at what she was supposed to do. She only knew that she was supposed to meet her partners this morning, and in a new location called Champions Island. Ami had never been to Champions Island and enjoyed the idea of visiting a new place. It was a change in scenery perhaps and it was good since she has been doing missions in the same places recently.

The girl got out of bed rather sleepily. She fumbled through her weapon pouch and almost walked out of her room in her pajamas. Today was going to be just great, as she moaned a little. Changing into a simple black dress and matching shoes, she took her weapons and katana, along with her mission scroll and headed to the meeting place. She wondered who her teammates would be. The girl tied her hair loosely with a red ribbon and walked out of the Hyuuga compounds, still quite dazed. She would stop by a market vendor to get some breakfast before making her way outside the village gates. Showing hte guards the scroll, she asked them for directions to champion islands. A horrible person without specific directions, it nearly took her twice the time it would take for other people to get there.

She could see that the place was an extended version of an academy so to speak, with training grounds and fields, dojos and obstacle courses. It wasn't exactly exciting but then again, she didn't even know what mission she was doing. She would stop for a moment to read the scroll. Oh...fortify the outpost...she had never done this mission before because it seemed rather boring. At least she wasn't doing it by herself. She would see a figure in the distance...someone very familiar. With a wide grin, the young Hyuuga would run up to Adam and greet him in her usual cheery nature. "ADAM!" she almost screamed out his name.

Ami would smile at the emotionless child in front of her. She found his demeanor rather amusing, like that of an adult. Of course, she knew a little about why he was this way, and so it didn't bother her that he wasn't as outgoing as she was. Then again...she was always outgoing. The girl would only nod at his remark about her smiling all the time. If only he knew what was behind that smile, she thought to herself, but brushed away the thought quickly. He didn't need to know...or perhaps didn't want to know, so she would keep it that way. The girl was about to speak when she heard another familiar voice joining them.

It was Karite.

She wondered if Karite had meet Adam before, but she was quite happy that they were going on a mission together, even though she learned seconds later that it was probably one of the dullest missions ever. Fortifying an outpost did not really sound exciting or adventurous. But maybe...maybe it would be different. The girl gave Karite a big smile too, masking all other emotions as she greeted her teammate. "Hey Karite! You look sleepy!" she remarked as she saw the other girl yawn. Well...Ami knew she probably didn't look much better. She would nod her head at Adam and the trio would set out to fortify the outpost.

"What exactly do we do?" having never done this mission before, she was somewhat curious.

If there was any mission deemed to be vague, it was definitely this one. The young girl would simply follow the young Kaguya and reach the place, where she could see many people already hard at work. She listened to the man say that they were just to try helping out wherever was needed. Ami giggled a little as Adam told them he was going to be painting the walls. For some reason seeing the child doing something as mhndane as painting amused her. Ami would walk over to the people cleaning and look around. She didn't like cleaning but she needed to do something.

Picking up a rake lying on the ground, she would tell Karite that she was going to start with raking the leaves outside, where Adam was going to be painting. It was probably better than cleaning inside, and it gave her some time to just do something that didn't require thinking. "I'll be over there," she would tell the others as well, just in case. Taking the rake, she walked to the leaves, wondering where to start.

Ami would rake the leaves and then move to picking up garbage on the ground/ It was interesting how littered an area could be and having it go unnoticed. The girl was very serious even when doing mundane tasks like these, a representation of not just her personality but also because all eyes on her in the village. Sometimes she didn't want to be a Hyuuga, didn't want to be a spectacle or attract attention with everything she did. As a young child, she had been exposed to the true horrors of gossip and was taught to never let gossip about her travel around the village. She was certain that every mission she did, every day she spent in Gekkousato would be reported back to the elders of her clan. It was suffocating and unbearable at times...

The girl would take a water break at almost the same time as Adam. She listened to what he had to say, noticing his friendlier side and smiling. Ami pondered for a moment before answering him softly. "I would love a rematch, Adam." She remembered the match that they had had before and had really hoped that he would win. She knew that he couldn't resist a rematch. She would finish the garbage picking and at the end of the time felt even more tired than had she been training all day.
