Delivery Boys (Group Mission)

The events of the day at the coffee shop pushed out of her head forcefully, Ami was asked to meet Karite and Jayy for a group mission. It was the first mission they would take as a team which should be a mark of celebration had it not been for her error of judgment that fateful day. She was normally ecstatic to go on a group mission with the two of them, but somehow there was a tugging sensation in her mind and heart. She didn't know how she'd interact around them anymore. Taking a deep breath and bracing herself for whatever would come her way, she would head to the meeting place, beyond the village gates. She took her katana and weapon pouch, leaving the Hyuuga compounds.

Her feet never felt so heavy as she moved along the busy streets. She had been informed that they were to deliver a package to the Sun Village. Having never been there, she was quite excited to go on an adventure. The girl nodded to the guards as she passed, still deep thought. Ami would almost miss Jayy completely as she kept walking. She caught a glimpse of his white hair and stopped abruptly, turning around to face him, forcing a smile on her face. "Jayy, good morning!" She tried to sound cheerful, hoping she hadn't overdone it in the process.

The voice from behind her made her stiffen. She didn't turn around to face Keiji as he came close. Although relieved that Karite was not joining them on the mission, she was even more on edge that he was her replacement. Her heart sank as she purposefully ignored his presence, as he did her. She listened to what he had to say and nodded her head in consent to starting the mission. She was secretly praying that they would finish quickly. Any additional time spent with Keiji gave her unnecessary heartache. The Hyuuga would walk on the other side of Jayy, only half registering the conversation he was having with the other man. What is wrong with you? she would chastise herself for her weakness, which at this point was more Keiji than anything.

The three of them would make their way down Kataki Road, heading to the Sun Village. She felt unusually restless, her right hand clasping the hilt of her katana a little tighter than she had intended, knuckles white and her body trembling. It wasn't even that there was an enemy nearby, simply that she needed somewhere to put her shaking hands. Her other hand would be by her side, also tightening into a fist. It seemed as if her demeanor had changed from what the two of them would be used to seeing. Ami wasn't possessed or anything, but she had a strange sense of wanting to inflict pain, wanting feel the blood of another thing or person against her skin. It terrified her...though she knew it would all be temporary.

Ami wouldn't have much time to ponder about private matters when she sensed the bandits coming at them in an ambush. The young girl could see that three bandits would come forward, two charging at her for two attacks back to back. She would jump as she saw the kunai coming at her legs, while trying to keep her eye on the other bandit that was fast approaching. Shit...she didn't know if she could take both of them at the same time, looking towards Jayy and Keiji. Ami would not ask for help though, she wasn't that weak...and from what she could tell Jayy was quite preoccupied himself. And Keiji....

The girl hit the ground after the jump, her right knee hitting hard on the ground as she saw the other bandit come towards her. She drew her blade almost instantly, her sword connecting to the bandit as he came at her with a kunai. The girl felt her blade connect to flesh and secretly enjoyed it. The Hyuuga activated her Byakugan, focusing her chakra to her palms. She was going to try and end this in one strike, so she had to act fast. She knew she could handle them herself, hoping that Keiji wouldn't interfere, not that he would...given the circumstance.

Ami was caught with a shuriken in her shoulder one of the other bandits threw it at her while she was preoccupied with the first bandit. She felt the pain sting as her blood trickled down her arm. She would smile as she threw her own shuriken at them as a facade for her sixteen palm jutsu that would come seconds after. The end was near, she could feel it. Ami would finish the fight with the two bandits with her katana, delivering fatal and final blows. She then focused her attention to Jayy, who had called her name in desperation. She would look over at Keiji, unsure of what he was going to do. She would run to the bandit that was choking Jayy, throwing three shuriken at his head so that he would release the Kaguya. Now it was up to Keiji to deliver the finishing blow.
