Time for some meditation.....or not....

Karite slowly walked up the path that lead to the Falls. Her cloak was left open to allow her to walk more freely. She wore a backpack filled with supplies and a fishing rod was attached to it. She sighed as she took in her surroundings. It was beautiful and open. She loved the wilderness. She could see the various animals in the surroundings keeping an eye on her. She was up here often and had made herself known as friendly to a few animals. She stopped at the riverbank, in a small clearing that she had made and looked up at the Falls. "It's so peaceful out here. A great place to meditate." She took off her backpack and laid it on the ground. She took out a blanket and laid it out. It gave her the perfect place to relax. She stood up and stretched before she began to think whether or not she wanted to meditate or fish first.

Sojiro Sakura loved nothing more than getting away from people and enjoying some time out in the forest, it was just rare for him to find the time to relax between missions. Today had been one of the rare days where free time had found him, so while he was traveling back to the Sun for his next mission, he had decided to stop by the falls. He stood at the top of them, watching the rushing water as it passed by in front of him, admiring the drop into the waters beneath. He would roll his shoulders a little bit, looking at the bag that he was holding in his hands before nodding, "Alright, time to do this." And with that, he would toss the bag into the water, so it would go into the rapids and end up at the bottom.

Sojiro wasn't really wearing anything besides a pair of swimming trunks, which were mostly black with red flames along the bottom of it. He stood roughly around five feet and ten inches tall, though this was mostly because of his slouched stance, his actual height around six feet. The only thing that marked him as a Sun Shinobi was the even tan that spread across his body. His firm was toned and taken care of, clearly a shinobi in his prime. His ruby hues watched the bag disappear over the side, dark lines underneath his eyes accenting the color of his eyes, and also his clan markings. As the bag went over the side, he would move to run out onto the water, summoning chakra to his feet and running to the end!...

....

Karite would be enjoying her sit by the water before she would catch sight of the bag carried by the waters.... Disappearing underneath the weight of the water and eventually reappearing in the lake. Moments later, there would be the sound of something impacting the water, submerging beneath it.. And for awhile, it would seem like there would be nothing until Sojiro would arise from the lake, which his raven-black hair slicked back as he would swim towards his bag. His back was towards the woman, unaware of her presence.

Karite saw the bag fall from the falls and looked confused. She looked up to see what could have sent it over the falls. Not seeing anything right away, she looked back towards the bag, only to hear the splash seconds later. She looked around, confused for a second. "What the actual...?" She yelled, just as he emerged from the water. "So much for my relaxation today. Way to scare off the fish!" She yelled to him. She sighed and tried to think of whether she needed to move to another spot to relax.

Sojiro wasn't someone that was used to being caught off guard, so when there was a sudden female voice that called out, he had gone into fight or flight for a moment. His body would disappear beneath the water, where he'd just go to the bottom of the lake before pushing against it with a bit of chakra in his feet, and all of his might. The man would explode out of the water a moment later, landing on top of the water and standing on top of with the normal ninja method. He would take this time to look at the woman who was a bit away, furrowing his brows and then grunting, "I didn't really expect to run into anyone else out here." Was all he would say before turning around and grabbing his bag.

After that, he would walk towards where the woman was sitting at and offer a two-finger salute, "Sorry about that, name's Sojiro. The hell are you doing out here?"

She sighed as he walked on top of the water towards her. She was standing there, glaring at him as he got close. "My name is Karite. I come out here to relax, meditate, and fish. Why else would I be out here?" She crossed her arms just below her chest. "Well, that was my plan until some idiot jumped off a waterfall and scared the fish away." She sighed as she mumbled angrily under her breathe. "Just when I had finished preparations to relax too." She whispered softly and began to look back, wondering if she should pack up and leave.

Sojiro could see that the woman was upset with him for some reason, though it wasn't like he knew she was done here. He would give a small shrug as he would step onto the shore and toss his bag down a bit away from her's, "The fish will come back, I'm sure. It'll take more than just me to scare them with such a big monster that lives here." Of course, as he spoke this he would look over at the raging waterfall, not speaking literally.

He would pull a blanket out of his bag and begin to unroll it, the bag being waterproof and having kept his stuff safe. He would look over at her and offer a grin, "Listen, I'll make it up to you. Why don't I cook whatever we catch today?"

She sighed, knowing that he was referencing the waterfall. She kept silent with her retort. As he pulled out his blanket, she sighed, knowing her true peace was gone. "Sure, anything we catch, you can cook. Hope you are at least a decent cook." She said in her emotionless tone. She grabbed her fishing pole and sat down. She then cast into the water, wondering what she will catch.

At her comment, the man would let out a soft laugh, "Oh you have no idea how good." And with that, he would move to sit on his blanket and pull his bag over. Rummaging around in it for a moment, he eventually took out several bamboo pieces that would connect together into a rob. He'd attach a piece of bait to the end and cast the line into the water, moving the fishing rob and jabbing it into the ground.

Once the fishing rob was secure, he would open up his bag again and pull out a book that he'd set to the side. Following that, he would pull out a bag of jerky, place it near the bag and then grab a second bag, "Peace offering?" He would say, tossing a bag of jerky to the woman in an underhanded throw. Regardless of that, while rummaging in his bag he would glance at her for a moment, "So, I'm guessing your from Moon?"

She glared slightly towards him as he said how good he supposedly was. "We shall see." She sighed and tried to relax to the best of her abilities. Having someone here meant it would be overall less relaxing. She heard him say peace offering and looked over. She grabbed the bag of jerky from the air and opened it. She tried a piece and thought it was decent. "Yes, I am from the Moon Village. Are you not?" She looked quickly over in his direction to evaluate whether their would be a situation.

When she had asked him the same question in return, he looked away from his bag and would blink at her, "No, of course not." He'd then finish in his bag and set it to the side, "I'm from Sun, I just do a lot of traveling back and forth." Which was true, though he was starting to think it was a little bit too much back and forth.

Now done with the bag, he'd open his own bag of jerky and start eating on a bite. His left hand would open the book he pulled out, using his thumb to turn the pages when he was ready to move on. Although he was reading though, he would still speak to her, "I'm gonna say you spend a lot of time out here, yeah?"

She kept her eye on the man from the Sun. He does a lot of travel. He must be on at least somewhat favorable terms with the village. She was still wary of his motives. She sighed, eating another piece of jerky. "I spend a lot of time out here. I find it relaxing. Especially since I'm used to priestesses hounding me all the time." She sighed, glad that the head priestess did not know of this spot.
