"For better or worse; I got you!"

After the trek to walk the old man to his village, there was a second task to be fulfilled.

The village had some reports to look into due to the abundance of animals and wildlife that seemed to be untamed. Sure, the Moon Village was famous for its fauna and creatures that roamed the wilds. However, the stories of the Sun Village and its creatures were far in between. So, it was a mystery why suddenly the beasts had found a moment to be utterly chaotic. Their voices would rise in collective at times as if harmonizing with the elements. It was a very horrifying sensation at times as Hikari would hear the beasts from afar. Their expressions were nothing short of something dsiturbed and twisted.

He had to think through the clues.

“Banira-chan had arrived here in the area about a few weeks ago.” Hikari would press his lips together bitterly. “After sightings of her increased, so would the animal sightings. If not mutated, they would instead appear in greater numbers. That one day with Kannagi-chan was proof. A matter of fact.” Hikari Usagi would sit around recalling these details. He even recalled how she was actually nearby when Kannagi fought the Scorpion that attacked her. It seemed to be a formidable foe, but nothing that could not be handled. However, a larger number had arrived soon after its defeat. Was it a coincidence?

    It could not have been!

Hikari would walk the border being careful of the animals and beasts that roamed the area. He wore colors with the assistance of the village shinobi that cloaked him in bright tints. He would listen to the sounds of the animals and their wild howls. In certain areas, the beasts were more aggressive and prominent in their numbers as if fighting for dominance. Snarls, growls, and roars would mix as certain hordes would invade each other other’s territories. Their mouths open as they would rip open other creatures with their maw and leave the desert painted in a fresh red color. Hikari could not see it, but the splatter patterns were unmistakable as he would sit by listening at times.

“They are more aggressive in certain areas.” Hikari had noted with a breath escaping tirelessly. “Probably something drawing them in around these areas. Likely-” He would pause as his ears would twitch sensing through the environment. The residual land had been pounded by the strong prints of something that was more animal than man. There were pieces of the ground that were reduced to dust and pieces of rubble. He would remember well the kind of attacks that caused this damage. It was faint, if only for a moment, that he remembered the damage at a previous camp and within the cave as energy raced threatening to bury himself and his friends.

    “Banira…”

The rabbit summon’s aftermath from her attacks as she seemed to have been within the area. It was apparent that her presence would cause some chaos to follow. The beasts surely had become disturbed by her presence somehow and it only caused for the incidents of mutations to follow. Hikari would have his glassy stare close with a hint of dissatisfaction. A Usagi did not have interest in ensuing this chaos...would they? He heard stories of Banira and they had not matched up with what he was seeing.

“I should report back.” Hikari would swallow as he carefully thought to himself. “Perhaps just the bare minimum.” He insisted.
