Appearance:

The first thing people notice about Chris is his piercing brown eyes. These eyes seem to know things, and often times strangers are a bit put off by them. His hair is normally a dark red color, but he keeps it dyed a dark brown due to the stigma of his bloodline. Often times it’s messy, but almost looks like it might be styled that way. It is just short enough to be able to stick up on its own without needing gel or styling moose.

While in the village and not on a mission Chris tends to wear a dark colored t-shirt (dark red, dark blue, dark green, etc), as well as black jeans. In cooler weather he also puts on a black jacket with a collar that sticks up.

When out in the field he changes into clothing more suited for the environment. Tear resistant fabric that’s either black or dark green for the forest, a lighter green for fields, brown for mountains, and yellow or white for the desert. Growing up in a merchant family he’s learned you should always dress for the occasion.

On his left hip is where the carries his kunai and throwing stars. On his right is a holder that has two small scrolls that are either blank of filled with what he feels is needed on the mission. On long treks he also carries a simple black backpack that has everything he may need.

Personality: Around people who don’t know him, Chris tends to be very quiet. He likes to let conversations flow around him and is more than willing to add his 2 cents worth without going into detail. Because of his piercing gaze most think he’s analyzing them.

And in a way they are right, as Chris enjoys listening to people. Most of the time he’s even quiet around people he knows, and they accept him as a ‘thinker’. He won’t offer an opinion or do anything unless he has thought it through, but once he does then he’s committed.

Because of his father’s cautious nature while he was growing up, Chris tends to be on the more hesitant side of things. He won’t make any rash decisions or take unnecessary chances, which in some cases looks like he’s not doing anything at all. But what a lot don’t realize is that once he makes a move it’s because it has a great chance of succeeding.

In combat he’s the same way. Usually he likes to stay in the background watching the battle unfold before him. After a time, he begins to make his move. Often times it appears like he’s ‘spinning a web’ that will shut down his opponent with the least amount of effort. It’s not that he’s lazy; it’s just that he cautious. This has earned him the name “The Silent Spider’ by his father; a nickname he hates and will never reveal to his friends or village.

- Cooking: A talent he picked up from his father before being sent to the village. He’s very good at making tasty treats, and often times out on a mission if they have time he would give his teammates a sample. Because of his father’s teaching in herbs he also knows the right herbs to keep the scent from traveling farther than 5ft.
- Studying Jutsu: Even if he can’t use a jutsu Chris likes to learn about various kinds and the hand seals associated with them. It’s a passive fascination with him after being on the road with his father and hearing stories about their homeland. His main focus is on the art of sealing techniques (fuuinjutsu).
- Nature: Growing up both with his father’s knowledge on herbs and the forest surrounding the Moon Village Chris has developed an affinity for nature. Most days when he has time to himself he can be found lying on the branch of a large tree, relaxing in a grass field, or even sitting next to a small brook.

- Spiders: He doesn’t fear them, and usually lets them do their thing out in nature. But in his house/room he won’t hesitate to squish them as invading his privacy.
- Bullies: Whether they are the physical kind, or the verbal Chris very much does not like bullies. Those who use their power to pick on the weak tends to piss him off. Usually if he can he will do his best to stop the bullying; more often with words than with fists. But if he can’t (usually if the one bullying is too powerful), then he tends to make his presence known as a ‘don’t push me too far’ kind of move.
- Broccoli- Despite his culinary skill and love of nature, broccoli is the one food Chris refuses to eat. He doesn’t know if it’s the texture or the taste, or even if it’s a combination of the two. No matter how it’s prepared he can often times be seen discreetly hiding or avoiding the vegetable.

History: Chris was born in the cold climate of Craiglorn Village. His father was an outside merchant that was traveling through the village. It was on one such trip that he met a beautiful woman with striking red hair.

Her name was Caren Uzumaki; the fourth daughter of a branch family member. Being an outsider Chris’s father didn’t know of the connections of the Uzumaki, and it wasn’t known why she didn’t tell him. All either knew was they enjoyed each other’s company, and that was all that mattered.

Because of his travels Chris’s father could only visit the village every few years. It was on one of these trips that instead of the beautiful woman he was met with a baby. It was then that he was told that the woman he loved died while giving childbirth, and that being the father he should take the baby. Reluctantly he agreed because even though he didn’t expect to be a dad he knew it was his responsibility to be a father.

And so he named the baby boy Christopher; a name that he hoped would give him strength as he grew. He left that village, and struck it from the route he normally took. Why visit a place that brought him pain to remember?

It wasn’t until a few years later that he found out who, and what, Caren was. It came as a messenger seeking him and the child as they had settled in the warm region of the Debon Village. The messenger came with a warning that those of the sand are looking for any born of the Uzumaki bloodline. Not knowing who it was that was hunting his son they left the village near the desert village and headed east.

There Chris’s father set up shop in one of the small cities found within the borders of the Moonlit Grove. If ‘those of the sand’ were looking for Chris, then being close to the Moon Village would be the safest place for him. Being a seasoned merchant he did well as a general merchandise shop.

As the years passed his father thought he was getting too old to protect his son from the dangers that might be coming for him. So on Chris’s 10th birthday his father sent a request to the hidden Moon Village to take his son in as an academy student. Actually the way his father phrased it; it was a ‘D rank mission’ to train the outsider to become a ninja for the village.

Chris was reluctant to agree, but went at the prodding from his father. Once there he trained hard in the academy; focusing on more the technique of being a ninja rather than the skills required. He may not be able to throw several stars in a minute, but each star he threw was near perfect bullseye. It was his calmness under pressure and his focus on his studies that earned him the right to graduate, and was told that his skills will develop overtime.
