Nako Minosaki
Name: Nako MinosakiNick Name: N/A
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Clan: N/A
Bloodline: Scorch Release
Origin: Sun Village
Village: Sun Village
Appearance: Nako is five feet and four inches tall and weighs about one hundred and twenty pounds. She has a slender figure appropriate for her age with light skin. Her eyes are blue and have purple hair that's tied into a single and long ponytail, her large bangs usually covering either her left or right eye. Her sense of fashion usually falls into something more oriental and traditional dresses with black shinobi sandals that could match any outfit she has. Just on her back is a large scar shaped into a slash that travels from her right shoulder and near her left hip.
Height: 5'4
Weight: 120 lbs
Personality: Nako is a very down to earth woman. She isn't one to beat around the bush when it comes to expressing her thoughts, especially if it has ill intent or an excuse to tell someone off. She is no stranger to being blunt and straightforward person with her views. Because of her rather no filtered and brutal honesty, she's seen as critical and censorious. That's not to say she's extremely direct all the time. After all, she knows when to tone it down. However, she has no issue telling a fib or two if it benefits her or anyone else in her small social circle and clan.
Albeit she's very frank (more than needed), Nako doesn't bite when someone approaches her. At least, not too hard or much. She always appears more on the calmer and relaxed side, smoking or drinking some of the time. Although she likes to keep to herself, so socializing isn't exactly her biggest strength beyond a professional conversation such as missions or other business work. She isn't as vicious or aggressive as the rumors say. If anything, she can be bit of an awkward mess, but holding up basic conversation is somewhat of a skill of hers.
But that doesn't withdraw the fact that she can be vicious or malicious and her temper can be the blame. It makes her viewed as grumpy and moody though. Nako isn't exactly known to be the most patient person in the world nor someone with high tolerance. It's a gift to even hold even the tiniest amount of tolerance and patience for the young woman. She doesn't hold back when she lashes out and isn't even afraid to lay a hand on someone. She holds no limits to what she does or say whenever she's enraged, although most of the time doesn't have any actual ill intent behind her words and actions; just needed to blow off some steam.
As serious and stern Nako may seem to be, she can have her playful and jolly moments, especially when it comes to alcohol and smoking. Though, her playful and jolly side is rather more on the twisted and cruel spectrum. She can be extremely inconsiderate, although in her defense she wouldn't see much wrong with what she says (but sometimes that excuse is used on purpose). Her sadistic persona is more drawn out this way with laughing at someone's inconvenience, whether it's a simple trip to the ground or something a little more severe.
Despite her cold appearance and rather hostile personality, Nako will always have her formality (unless she decides to drop them). She respect those that deserve it and can surprisingly be seen as someone with a soft heart. Although, she doesn't show such a side too easily. To her, showing kindness is weakness, so it's best for her to always appear strict and cold. Now that doesn't mean she's like that all the time per se, but it's safe to say Nako isn't a complete monster.

History:
- Spoiler:
- Nako originally hailed from a small village called the Dawn Village (Hidden Valley Village) that ran under authoritarian rule. She was raised by two loving parents that were considered to be one of the top shinobi the Dawn Village ever had, Yuta and Yui Minosaki. Yuta was the charismatic father who worked as one of the kage’s bodyguards and Yui was the nurturing mother who cares deeply for her people and village as one of the top head medics. The two have gone on various missions together where Yuta was the offensive and Yui was the support. With their chemistry flowing naturally when they’re together, they’ve become a couple and both have decided to marry each other after a few years of being together. Thus came along two older sons and Nako.
The elder son that was born was Jiwoo, who was older by six years than Nako. He was known to be the serious one of the three children who would always focus on his work. He always meant business, but sometimes let himself loose whenever he felt too stressed out. The second son was Benji, two years younger than Jiwoo and four years older than Nako who was considered to be the more playful and lighthearted son. He wasn’t someone who liked to goof off all the time, but to him there was more to life than just living as a shinobi and confining to his duties. He was mostly the opposite of Jiwoo overall who wasn’t as strict or socially awkward. And then finally came along Nako, who was the young sister that would support both brothers until the end. Despite their differences from petty topics such as eating the last fruit, they had an unbreakable bond and have sworn to stay together until the end.
Although most likely Nako didn’t actually recognize it at such a young age alongside Benji, the Dawn Village was a military state. It brainwashed their people into believing that It was a requirement that every single person within the village is a shinobi. If anyone tried to avoid such a task, they would be executed. This was so that if their village was under attack, then they would have an enormous army to take down the enemy. Their totalitarianism didn’t stop there, as they would brainwash their people as far as to say that they are the greatest village above all and are invincible, encouraging people to help break down other villages and convert them into the greatness of the Dawn Village.
All of that did make sense to the young Nako, but she refused to become a shinobi. She would rather have lived a regular life as a mere civilian, but her parents had to force her even if it pained them to do so. They didn’t want their only daughter to become executed so young and innocent. It took some time to convince her to try and make her attend the academy, but it was just enough for her to persuade her to attend the academy at nine years old, while her two brothers, Benji and Jiwoo, were both already Genin and Chuunin respectively.
It was natural for Nako and Benji to believe that the Dawn Village was the greatest village of them all, but Jiwoo felt as if there was something wrong with what he thought was propaganda. He began to question the teachings that the village offered. He wanted to know what the other villages were like, if the Dawn Village was really the greatest village of them all. Jiwoo began to express his opinions and criticism against the village’s teachings, but was unfortunately thrown into jail right after for “propaganda against the village” and “hate speech”. His parents would try to fight the system to get his son out of jail while Nako and Benji would only comfort each other and hope Jiwoo doesn’t get executed. During that time, Nako and Benji also began to question and criticize the Dawn Village’s teachings, except theirs weren’t in public for them to get reported.
Nako and her brother Benji were forced to keep their mouths shut about the system of how the Dawn Village operated. The two children, and surprisingly on Nako’s part, were prodigious young shinobi. The only thing that did keep Nako back was to kill. In the Dawn Village, in order to graduate from the academy and essentially go through every rank, they would have exams that function like a deathmatch among their own people. If you’ve killed the most. Seeing blood and dead bodies of her own people would make her nauseous and sick, regretting becoming a shinobi. If she refused to do so, she would get mindless and cruel beatings from instructors until she forced herself to accept the task. It pained her to kill people that she knew, that she cared for, and that she loved. She had to learn how to suppress her emotions, harden her outer core and get rough in order to really survive in this village. She never approved of what she did, but she had to do it for survival.
A few short years have gone by and a civil war broke out in the village. It was a war between those that were against the dictatorship of the kage and those that supported his cause. Dead bodies began to build up within the village, buildings, and historical statues were destroyed as Nako, Benji, and her parents were involved to take down the kage.
During the war, prisoners have managed to break free from their cells from the opportunity of the war, including Jiwoo. Jiwoo was able to escape and reunite with his siblings, but there was no sight of their parents and the kage’s side was already winning. Those who opposed the kage’s rulings were forced into execution and the only way the three siblings would be able to evade their executions was to escape the village, an idea suggested by Nako. Benji refused to leave his parents behind, but Jiwoo reminded him that the longer they stayed, the quicker they’ll meet their death.
After some time, they were able to escape to the village borders, leaving everything including their parents behind. The three siblings didn’t have a plan as to what to do or where to go. The only thing they could do was travel from village to village until they found a permanent place they could announce as their new home. Eventually, they came across the Sun Village.
The guards that patrolled the borders took note of their arrival and immediately began questioning them with threats. The three siblings were able to explain their situation from the synopsis of their country to it being turned into a battlefield by its own people. The guards initially didn’t believe the three, but the siblings insisted that they were telling the truth. The process of getting themselves accepted into a village was complicated. They didn’t have any form of paperwork nor were their stories believed. Until then, they had to be isolated
Recently they’ve assimilated into the Sun Village’s culture. Benji and Jiwoo both decided to leave the shinobi world and become civilians. Nako wanted to do the same, but she couldn’t. She regretted many things she did from killing her own people to other disgusting actions, but it was what made who she was today. She couldn’t turn that away, otherwise it would haunt her forever. It was better to live with it than to try and leave it, knowing it would always come back to her.
What made matters worse during their stay in the Sun Village were the abductions and the political tension. It felt as if she were back in her original home village.
But she does have one wish whenever she feels as if she’s ready: to take down the Dawn Village’s corrupt kage and help restore back peace into her original home village.
