Characters Name
Name: Yami KatsunariNick Name: NA
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Clan: Aburame
Bloodline: Aburame Bloodline
Origin: Gekkousato-Moon Village
Village: Gekkousato-Moon Village
Appearance: Yami is a young male with an unusual appearance, even among the members of his clan. The reason for this is that his mother was not of the clan originally, but married into their secrets. Like his mother, Yami possesses a lustrous jade green hair. He keeps his hair quite lengthy, down towards the middle of his lower back. The jade green hair is silky smooth and can glisten at the right angle in sunlight or even moonlight. His eyes are a dark gold with a slight tint of green. They have a strong appearance, piercing and almost as if they were judging the very souls of those he gazes at.
He stands at a moderate height of 5'8 and weighs a solid 180lbs. His skin color is a buttery rich hue, yet slightly pale from the lack of sun. The only real notable mar in his flesh, is a single tattoo upon his forehead. A crimson red narrow diamond. This seems to hold no real purpose other than a fashion statement.
His choice of clothing is intended to hide as much of his body as possible, for both his Aburame secrets... as well as to prevent foes from reading his body language and subtle signs. He wears an average looking pair of black pants, as well as matching black leather boots that reach up to his mid-shin. His shirt is an equal black color, long-sleeved and covered by an even darker black cloak/shroud which sports a tad bit of green for flare. The cloak possesses a hood and hangs loosely behind his shoulders. The ends of his cloak slightly touch the ground and are somewhat tattered.
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 180lbs
Personality: Yami is a strange character. One could easily say that after a bit of interaction with him, that his mental state is greatly deteriorated. At first glance and interaction, he appears to be a simple-minded but handsome young man. He is far from simple-minded however.Though quite intelligent, he thinks differently than the average human. Morals are of little consequence to him. Rather, he views the world in a form of "Madness" Madness has a scale that he measures things by, from 0-100. Trying to understand his logic could drive a sane person insane. One moment, he may like you for the most simple act, gesture or piece of clothing you wear. The next instant, he may hate you for that very same thing. Whether he likes or dislikes you, he may or may not try to kill you. It all really depends on how he views you with madness.
He is a very sly and mischievous individual. When needed, he can act perfectly sane and rational. It is an easy thing to imitate the most simple moral guidelines after all. This is mostly to prevent himself from causing too much attention or trouble, a camouflage of sorts for his madness. He has no real goals or aspirations... Just to live in the moment and see where his madness takes him r others.

History: Yami's life began when his father married a woman from the rural lands around the Moon Village. Eventually, they birthed a single child, a boy who greatly resembled his mother's beauty instead of the dull Aburame physical traits. This was considered a blessing to his mother, though his father secretly harbored doubts about whether or not Yami was truly his son. After all, his mother was not exactly a faithful woman. The three of them lived in a fairly peaceful house as Yami grew from a babe to a young child. It was not until the right of passage as an Aburame was upon him, that his father showed his true feelings.
Completely convinced that Yami was no of his blood and in no way connected to the Aburame bloodline... the insects would devour him and rid the man of the child. Up until this point in Yami's life, he had been a perfectly healthy child, physically and mentally. His father refused to be his manly figure, so Yami imitated his mother's serene graceful nature. Quiet and respectful. He could do no wrong and that only infuriated his father even more.
When the time of the Aburame's clan ritual was nigh, Yami was wholly unprepared for what was to become of him. His father had explained nothing to him, fully expecting the insects to kill him and eat him whole. As his mother was somewhat of an outsider and been branded as a whore, she was not permitted to the clan's secrets, nor to explain anything to her own son. All she could do, was hope for the best. And so, Yami was roughly forced into the chamber where the insects laid dormant. Secluded and imprisoned with so many insects, he panicked as the insects descended upon him as a wave. They invaded his body in so many ways, tearing at his body to create their hive. He was physically changed to host the insects of the Aburame, but it also changed his mind. Mental side-effects were uncommon but not unheard of. The process had been so traumatizing to the little boy who had known absolutely nothing, that it eroded his own elf-worth and morals.
Unlike some who would fear such an experience and be too traumatized, Yami's snapped mind embraced the insects and welcomed them. This was the starting point of his new "self" the Yami of the present, whom preferred madness to mundane.
Having not been devoured, his father had no choice but to reluctantly retrieve the boy. He was at the very least, an Aburame... but was it really his son? Still harboring doubts and resentment, he trained the boy to control and use the insects, but showed him no love, compassion or mercy. His mother strongly objected and coddled Yami, but no longer did either of their words or actions really matter to the boy. He was distanced, distracted by his own lingering thoughts of madness. Most children in his circumstances would have likely been changed into something dark and bitter. His father's mistreatment.... His mother's love- they were quite boring compared to the strange and twisted thoughts that were whispered into his ears from the void.
