Appearance:
Ayu is of average height and slender in body shape. She has long soft brown hair that she wears around her shoulders in a loose ponytail. A defining feature would be her eyes, a strange light purple, giving her an exotic variation of blue eyes. Her figure is not something she hides, large firm breasts, wide hips and healthy thighs. Her most defining feature however is the lack of a left arm. Severed off, she has a wooden prosthetic in place of it. The almost puppet like arm is very well crafted, each joint and fingers much like a human one. This piece is controlled with her powers still allowing her to form hand seals.

Personality:

Ayu is generally a kind person, sociable and friendly. Open minded and intelligent, Ayu performed well in the academy and enjoyed learning new things on and off duty. Her kindness however, does not reach out to everyone. People will be given the benefit of the doubt and she will extend a single hand (huehue) but cross her and you will see the Shinobi side of her. Ruthless and effective as a Shinobi, she isn't above torturing someone for information.

She is down to earth, enjoying the presence of wholesome people and merry making. She has always been close with nature, enjoying its beauty for both its gentle and ferocious ways. She respects both the predator, prey and isn't some hippie vegan. Though she does prefer fish and veggies. In the same way she respects other people and their beliefs as long as it's not crazy. Some people might worship strange animals and that's fine. Worshipping Jashin raises an eyebrow.

Ayu will tell you the truth and doesn't sugar coat stuff. If your breath smells like garbage, she will tell you your breath smells like garbage if you ask her. Smart and witty, her tongue is as sharp as her skills with the blade. As a clanless Shinobi with no defining jutsu, she had taught herself to be very effective with the blade. She is persistent in bettering herself and to make sure she doesn't fall behind.

History:

Ayu is a descendant of the wood release clan. Long ago before the villages were divided, a member of the clan had married out. At the time, there was no thought of it, the woman displayed no talents and it was determined she did not carry the gene. Years would pass and woman would follow her husband to the village of the sun. For more generations the gene remained seemingly absent.

Ayu, is the current generation of the Serizawa family, a nameless clan within the village of the sun. She spent a normal childhood with bother parents.  Entering the Shinobi Academy at an appropriate time and graduating as such. At 16 she was on a mission, a skirmish with another village. In the heat of battle to save a squad member she sacrificed her arm. Her left arm was cut off just above elbow leaving her unfit for duty.

Months with would go by as she rehabilitated herself, a wooden prosthetic added so she could feel the weight of an arm. However it didn't move at all. She'd go by, living her life as a civilian when one day she picked up a box with both her arms. She thought nothing of it at first but quickly realized. She had though she had felt her arm but doctors described it as a phantom itch. Now she knew it was different. The dormant genes within her had awaken her wood release, her body naturally using it as an extension of her.

For years she'd train, moving her new arm like her old and even in ways that were better than before. She is back as a Shinobi for the Village of the Sun.
