Enishi is an overall average young man, with an average height, and a seemingly average physic. He's actually quite thin under all of his clothing, but he doesn't lack in the necessary muscle he needs to maintain the life he has. Taking after his mother more than his father, his characteristics are delicate for a man, but he likes to believe they'll harden with age. His eyes and hair are a plain brown color, the later of which is messily cut sort on the front, and left long on the back. He keeps the long part in a tight braid, doubled over and handing on the left side of his head, compact inside a piece of fabric and tied with ribbons to keep it in place. His time in the Academy left him with a proper posture that is obvious even through the many layers of fabric he wears.
Feeling cold more often than hot, Enishi wears every article of clothing left in his wardrobe at almost all times. It is an ensemble of 2 inner robes, and an outer short-sleeved one. His arms are hidden under black leather bracers, and his feet are only knee-length covered by his pants. Having sold his pair of shinobi sandals, he now dons a pair of handmade straw sandals, which constantly look like they're about to fall apart. He also always carries a sword with him, though he has never used it, nor ever thought of using it. It's a family heirloom, and the only thing he didn't sell off.
Personality:
Having grown up in a blindingly safe and happy environment, Enishi developed a very optimistic personality. Even when his family was crumbling down and the whole world seemed to be against them, he still sought out any and all good things he could find around him and used them to dismiss the bad as much as he could. He's very stubborn in his belief that all bad things come to an end, and good things are always on the way. He won't give up on things easily, no matter how impossible they may seem to be.
He's a kind young man, sometimes stupidly selfless in his ways. He cares more about the happiness of the people around him than he cares about his own. He even goes to the extremes of not caring at all about his own being, so much so that his younger siblings need to remind him to eat on days he forgets to do so himself. He has a habit of giving people things without ever asking for compensation, and will immediately help anyone in need, without even asking for their name first.
He might seem like an airhead at times, but he is actually much smarter than most people his age. The only thing that keeps that from being too obvious is that he chooses to take all that others might consider "stupid" decisions. He is aware of the fact that he gives more than he receives in life, but it is his way of life. He views his wealthy childhood as something he owes to the world, and now that he can pat back his debt, he doesn't hesitate to do so.

History:
The Minamoto family wasn't all that big in the Sun Village, but they were a respectable and honest family. Enishi's father was the fourth generation of a commendable legacy of shinobi, and the sole heir to it. He married his mother when they were both young, a marriage more on the arranged side, although still a pleasant even to both of them. His mother was not a very active woman, opting to maintaining the household and family relations when her husband was away on missions. Enishi grew up in an environment of minimal wealth and serenity, with his mother to look after him and his father to inspire the warrior in him.
He was a very sociable kid, so when a younger sibling came into the picture, life was all the more fun for him. At the age of 14 he graduated from the Academy among the top of his class, and boasted about it to his little brother for a week. He waited for another week for his father to return so that he could brag about it to him too. And yet, when the week was up, another week came and left, and another, and one more, and after the fifth one, they all stopped waiting. In turn, two new members were added to the lot; twins born with no father to welcome them into the world.
Having lost the heir and head of the family, Enishi's mother was left with nothing but an empty house, and -now- four children to manage. Her own relatives had seemingly forgotten about her, for when she went knocking on their doors, she got no answer at all. It all looked very grim, but Enishi was never one to look down, and his resolve eventually got their mother going.
They opened up a tea house, and tried their best to get by on their own. Enishi did the bulk of the work, having left his dreams of following his father's fighting path in the past, with a bit of regret. His mother was busy nursing the twins, and looking after his little brother. Their life began to take a turn for the better, but misfortune was just around the corner once again. The second year after opening the tea house, his mother fell ill. Business was also declining, and eventually they were left begging for scraps. The shop was closed, and their mother left them soon after.
Now sixteen, and with three younger siblings to take care of, Enishi took up all sorts of jobs, anything he could get his hands on, no matter how difficult or unethical it was. Two more years of struggles, and he got them all back on their feet. With the little funds he'd been saving up on, he decided to reopen the tea house, and could only hope for a less rocky future, for the sake of his little brothers and sister.
