Looks:
Physical Kiyomi is 5'4" and pale. With curves in all the right places, and a bright smile usually on her face, Kiyomi is definitely considered attractive. She has shoulder-length, layered brown hair with stunningly icy blue eyes. Although she is blind in her left eye, it's practically impossible to tell unless you are close enough to see the slight discoloration (Kiyo's blind eye is slightly a lighter shade of blue). She appears completely innocent to most people, which leads to her often being underestimated. She has the Sight Projection Seal on the back of her left hand, and the symbol of her bloodline is tattooed on the back of her neck. Clothing & Equipment She wears bandages wrapped around her thighs, upper arms, both ankles, and a few around her neck. Over top of all this, she wears a light blue, sleeveless qipao dress overtop of dark blue, kneelength, tight shorts. She wears a shinobi belt (with a medical pouch) around her hips, and wears black, elbow-length, fingerless gloves. She carries a tanto strapped to her lower back. She has a limp, so she almost always has her shakujo with her when she's travelling. With it, people usually aren't able to tell she has a limp. On her back, she always has a black backpack containing the essentials of her travels. She stores some of her scrolls in the backpack, and some of them can be summoned.

Personality:
  • Cunning: Kiyomi has a very unique way of finding out information. She is usually able to find out a person's weak points and use those to wheedle out information. She is very devious when she needs to be, which is why she is often described as cunning.
  • Sweet: Kiyomi is probably one of the sweetest S-ranked kunoichi out there. She is very friendly and often makes many friends with various people on her travels. This is a pretty useful thing because connections are rather important in the world of the shinobi.
  • Curious: Kiyomi's curiosity is extreme. If she hears rumors about even the littlest of things, she feels inclined to find out the truth behind the matter. She asks many questions if she's truly curious, leaving nothing to assumption and getting all the facts.
  • Independent: Kiyomi has lived on her own for a long time, so she is used to relying on herself. She usually prefers to do things alone rather than in a group.
  • Creative: She is easily able to come up with ideas for jutsu, weapons, and beneficial additions to the shinobi world. Given half of them are usually not realistic, the other half usually end up being created by her and turning into deadly techniques or weapons.
  • Bi-polar: Kiyomi was diagnosed as bi-polar when she was 13, and has taken herbal medicine for it ever since then. If she doesn't take her herbs one day, she will be very moody and usually is nowhere near as sweet as she normally is. More like vicious and deadly, as well as reckless by acting without thinking of the consequences. She's not one to be taken lightly in any case, but at times like these, it's best to just avoid her at all costs.
  • Intelligent: She has a high IQ, not to mention common sense (which some people seem to lack, believe it or not). She doesn't rush into things without knowing the reasoning behind whatever it is. She knows her limits and knows when to avoid confrontation. Again, all of this common sense. She is also book smart because she reads a lot on the practical things of the shinobi world. Thus, she has a fair knowledge of most things.

The Orihara family has always focused their time and energy in the art of Fuuinjutsu. They can manipulate their chakra into the shape of a desired seal, and then expel their chakra in the shape of the seal to whatever they are touching. Their chakra is unusual in that it has the potential to literally burn what it touches (if the KKG wielder wants it too). That is why, when they expel their chakra in a specific shape, it will burn into whatever it touches, leaving a branded mark where it touches and, thus, creating the seal needed for fuuinjutsu. Meaning, they can instantly create a seal without the need for handsigns and lengthy processes. They merely have to be touching what they are attempting to seal, and then they can instantly apply the seal.

A special ability of a select few members in the family are able to apply seals through contact with the target via chakra threads. It crops up only once or twice every generation.

The members of this family are limited to only one elemental affinity, if they get any at all. In most cases the element is Doton. For that reason, the members of the family normally train in more specialties, although not always.

    Appearance: A large, approximately 3 by 2 foot wide box of freshly grown herbs. It's filled with soil and dividers separate over 30 different herbs growing in it. It has a seal on the bottom which makes it easy to summon, even from far distances.

    Origin: She received it as a gift from the man she trained under to get her medical specialty. It resides in Territory L with the man (who takes care of the herbs and keeps them fresh at all times), but she can summon it from far distances if the need should ever arise. It's for the purposes of putting together a cure to a poison if she ever needs to after a battle.

  • Name: Hidden Seal Tags
    Rank: D-S
    Description: Each seal is pre-inscribed with an invisible version of every seal Zero (in this case, Kiyomi) knows that is able to be placed on a tag. At any time he can easily perform the appropriate handsign and activate any one of the seals on the tag. However, once a seal on it has been activated, no other seal can be used until it is deactivated. In order to be deactivated Zero must hold the tag in one hand and perform the proper hand-sign with the other, effectively causing the seal to recede into the tag. He can even activate the seal from afar. However, distance is a limitation as it must be within 30 meters for him to remotely activate it. They are stored in a pouch on her right hip.

    It is a 6 foot, black wooden shakujo, with the head of the image above. It has six silent metal rings.

    Special Abilities: The inside lining of the shakujo's metal head is covered in a cloth that basically absorbs the impact of the rings and prevents it from making noise. Each ring can be taken off of the shakujo (if you know how) and used as weapons in and of themselves. The metal is iron, and it has an iron-plated bottom too.
    Origin: Got it from her weapon master in Tsuchi after her mission where she developed a limp in her leg. She and he both worked on it to make it into a weapon as well as a staff. She can also use it with her martial arts "stick fighting", much like a .

    Special Abilities: The bow can only be used with chakra threads as the draw string. The arrows are covered in poison that can kill within 5 minutes (5 consecutive posts). It would first attack the victims airways and lungs (within the first post), prohibiting them from breathing correctly to the point where they are literally gasping for breath. Then it painfully attacks them. Only Kiyo has the antidote because she developed the poison.
    Origin: She's had the bow since she was young and first started archery, and she developed the poisonous arrows herself. They are stored in one of her scrolls.

Description: The user concentrates chakra into their finger and using the heat from that can apply writing on whatever they want. This allows them to write on the skin of animals, iron plates, or a wide range of things however when doing so requires them to be very delicate with their chakra control. This jutsu causes slight discomfort for a living target and if it is on flesh, it will scar.

Description: A seal which invokes the power of the death god and will only be used in desperate situations, and when one is on the brink of death. Once called upon, the death god hovers behind the user and wraps its left arm with prayer beads, which causes a seal to appear on it. The soul of the summoner is also seen along with the death god, restrained by its hair but still attached to the user. The death god then inserts its arm into the user's soul. At this stage only the user can see the death god. To perform the seal the user need only grasp the target. The death god's arm extends from their chest and grabs the soul of the target, immobilizing them and allowing them to see the death god as well. The death god then performs the sealing. It is also possible for the user to seal multiple targets through the use of shadow clones. If the user cannot pull out their target's entire soul, he can have the death god use its knife to sever a piece of the soul and seal it. The part sealed will suffer from necrosis, causing extreme pain and leaving the target unable to use the corresponding body part. Soon after the sealing is completed the death god consumes the souls of the user and the sealed, sentencing them to be locked in combat within its stomach for all eternity. A seal is left on the stomachs of those that have had something sealed within them using this jutsu.

Description: Bijuu Transaction Technique is a jutsu used for the purpose of capturing a bijuu from an active or dying Jinchuriki. It can also, with a bit more effort, be used to capture a released bijuu in its weakened state. In the event of a jinchuriki, the user will place his left hand on the target's seal that contains the bijuu and place their other hand around a special bottle that he carries with him. Then, in a matter of ten posts, he will draw out the bijuu while releasing the seal slowly; by using himself as a medium for the chakra, it flows through his left arm, his body, and then his right arm into the jar. Because the bijuu is pure chakra and due to the nature of the jar, it can be completely contained in the jar.However, things occur differently in the case of a full-blown released bijuu. The user must first beat it into a state of helplessness before forming the required circle around the collapsed bijuu in either blood or even weaponry such as kunai or shuriken that are imbued with his chakra. Once the circle is active, the user will place their hand on any part of the circle and use it as a medium similar to the jinchuriki method and transfer the entirety of the bijuu into the bottle. This technique has a single benefit, however, and that is the fact that the bijuu host, the Jinchuriki, survives the extraction and transference process.

Description: This seal takes merely one post to place on the target on any part of their body. When placing it, the user will also imbue it with a particular ninjutsu technique that is released upon activation or when the bearer is in dire need of assistance. The technique can be of any rank available to the user who places the seal and is instantaneously activated by the weakened state of the bearer or the simple activation of the one who placed it on them. It can even be instantaneously sealed onto the palms of the user's hands for elaborate attacks on their part.

Description: This seal is rather basic in application and usage. It can be applied to an inanimate object or even a living thing. It takes the form of a kanji meaning "sight" and allows the user to completely see through it as if it were their eye by simply closing one of their eyes and placing their fingers over said eye. They will then channel a connection with the seal, establishing a link in which they may see. Only two may be active at once, however, as the user only has two eyes. It is primarily used for the purpose of research or recon.

Description: This seal is placed on any part of the target's body, besides the one who creates it, and has the general purpose of physical enhancement. This means that if the seal were to be placed on the arm of the target, the strength of that arm would be increased by 50%. The seal is activated by the one who places it after application, meaning that it can be left for days on end before being activated. Once activated, however, the seal will only last 5 of the bearer's posts before receding into the skin. It can then be recharged or completely removed by the one who initially placed it. This seal takes two consecutive posts to place.

Description: This sealing technique completely blocks the target's chakra with a sealing formula (封印式, fūin-shiki) drawn on the ground or a wall. This is done by closing all the tenketsu of the person caught in the middle. Signifying this is the stylised kanji for "close," or "shut" (閉, hei) drawn in the middle of the sealing formula. To successfully seal the target, one has to get them exactly inside the sealing formula. This requires great accuracy and is very difficult. Various methods can be used to make this easier. For instance, one can prepare a puppet or a ninja tool

Description: This jutsu is used to suppress jutsu-induced marks on a person. It is also capable of holding back certain Kekkei Genkai. This seal requires a number of hand seals and a large amount of chakra to be performed. Preparation for this jutsu requires two concentric circles with kunai placed in intervals along the circumference, in addition to a number of characters written in blood that radiate out from the center of the curse seal. This jutsu is quick, but painful for the one the seal is placed upon.

Description: Chakra is kneaded within the body and then changed into special chemical substances. It is then ejected through the mouth. When this substance comes in contact with the air outside the body, it instantly changes and is transformed into a mist of deadly poison. The poison's ability to kill is tremendous, as even just breathing in a small amount will mean the end of the target's life. As this technique combines ninjutsu, chemistry, and medical knowledge, using it requires fine chakra control and advanced ability in medical ninjutsu.

Description: This medical ninjutsu allows the user to speed up the body's natural healing process by sending chakra from their hands into a wound or afflicted body part. This allows the user to heal a patient without the need for medical equipment or surgery, making it highly useful on the battlefield. It can be used to treat both external and internal injuries. It is vital to match the amount of chakra used to the severity of the affliction or injury. This requires a great amount of chakra control. Because of this, only a few highly skilled medical-nin are able to use this technique. By sending an excess amount of chakra into the patient's body, the user can overload the patient's normal circulation, trapping them in a comatose state. This is usually undesirable.

Description: This ornate jutsu uses chakra to literally pull foreign materials from someone's body, no doubt requiring precise control on the user's part to avoid causing further internal injuries to their patient. It can be used for the purpose of retrieving poison or even glass from a person's organs.

Description: The first step in treatment is understanding the problem. With this skill a shinobi uses their hands to carefully probe a patient for problems. This technique is preformed by kneeling over a patient and slowly running both hands over their body, looking for signs of injury that may not be visible to the naked eye. It can detect things such as internal injury, improper heart rate, non-apparent bone fractures, poisoning, and disease. A ninja of higher rank has learned to use this technique to perform a rudimentary examination of a body to determine cause and time of death. A Genin using this skill takes several minutes of work to determine the nature of a problem, a Chuunin takes less than a minute and a Jounin requires only a few seconds. Someone of Kage-level is capable of determining the problem almost instantly with extreme ease.

Description: This jutsu requires no hand-signs whatsoever, only internal chakra manipulation. By focusing chakra in key points of the human body the user is able to overcome any form of paralysis, even if it is caused by an opponent's jutsu. The chakra cost is dependent on the rank of the jutsu that caused the paralysis. To use this jutsu on someone else, you must place two fingers on their forehead.

Description: This medical technique forms one's chakra into a small, sharp blade. This can then be used for highly accurate incisions necessary for surgeries and anatomical dissections. Unlike regular scalpels, the Chakra Scalpel can actually make cuts inside the body without actually creating an open wound, limiting the risks of an infection.
The Chakra Scalpel can also be used offensively, although it requires great precision to be effective. Because of this requirement, using the Chakra Scalpel offensively is highly unusual. In heated combat, even the greatest medical-nin won't be able to exert the precision needed to make fatal cuts, but it can still effectively cut muscle tissues and tendons, rendering the target immobile.

Description: This jutsu requires intense chakra control, since the basic function if shutting down the nerve functions in a given area. After a small number of handseals, the user places their hand over an area that is in severe pain, and transfer their chakra to temporarily stop the signal coming from the wounded area to the brain. Thus rendering the area 'painless' to work with for up to five minutes.

Name: Saikan Chūshutsu no Jutsu (Delicate Illness Extraction Technique)

Description: When a person has been afflicted by a pathogen or toxin, this medical ninjutsu can be used to draw out the agent and heal the damage. The cause of the illness is first determined by an overall examination. Then, using a Chakra Scalpel, an incision is made near the affected part. Using their chakra, the medical-nin pushes a large volume of a medicinal fluid through the incision. The fluid then draws the poison out of the affected part(s) and serves as a medium through which the poison is suspended and then forced out of the person's body. This technique thus removes the poison, while simultaneously repairing the damage caused by the poison. After the agent is drawn out, it can be used to create an antidote or medicine after it has been analyzed. This can then be given to the patient to ensure a complete recovery. This technique requires the utmost care and ability in diagnosis, incising and unmatched chakra control. Therefore, it is considered an extremely difficult technique, even among medical ninjutsu.

Description: Chikatsu Saisei is an advanced medical Ninjutsu technique. The technique allows the medical ninja to use the hair of the one injured as a medium to reconstruct damaged body tissue. The extent of the damage will control how difficult and long the procedure is. The injured person will be placed in the center of a square marked with rites for the procedure. One medical ninja will sit at each corner to provide precise chakra control to help in the cell conversion process. Another medical ninja will sit at the lead to guide the process. Fuka uses shadow clones to properly perform this jutsu.

Description: This technique is special in the fact that it does not require any handseals, merely the ability to concentrate chakra to particular points in the body. If the user suffers from a broken or damaged bone, they can easily concentrate their chakra into that area and use it to reconstruct the damaged bone in a matter of seconds. The spine is not able to be healed using this technique.

Description: A jutsu that allows the user to summon objects, but more commonly, animals and summons to his location to fight with him or for a variety of other uses. The user must first sign a summoning contract with an animal that they wish to summon, and can only have one summoning contract at a time.

Name: Kuchiyose: Raikō Kenka (Summoning: Lightning Blade Creation)

Description: This is a special "ninja tool summon" that allows the user to seal ninja tools like swords or kunai into a scroll or their clothes beforehand, allowing them to be called upon when needed. The ninja tools can be summoned in an instant just by touching the sealing "marks" which can be drawn anywhere. The greatest advantage of this technique is that the time between taking out a ninja tool, taking the right stance and actually throwing it is greatly reduced. Also when a weapon such as a Fūma Shuriken is summoned, the time needed to throw it can be further shortened by having prepared the weapon in its fully extended form beforehand. The ninja tools are thrown with the actual speed of a "flash of lightning", ruining the opponent's outset of the battle, and snatching away the initiative. Furthermore, because the summonable ninja tools can remain hidden until right before they are used, if this technique is mastered, there are an exceptional number of possible tactics. A large number of ninja tools can be stored within the sealing marks, which can make the efficiency of this technique last longer.

Description: Chakra Threads is a technique that is usually used by puppet users to allow them to control their puppets in battle. Since these strings are constructs made from very concentrated chakra, they can be seen by people besides the user. Interestingly, as well as pulling objects towards them with the strings, the user can also "push" objects away from them as well, and even get moving objects like buzzsaws. Chakra can also be transferred via the strings, such as to activate some abilities in puppets. The chakra strings can also be attached to other objects, allowing the user to control, or at the very least disrupt other things. A skilled user can suppress the chakra to the point that the strings become invisible.

Description: If the user’s body is covered in shadows their skin will begin to blend into the environment, becoming a human camouflage and concealing their position. It doesn't take much chakra and is perfect for reconnaissance missions and information gathering.

Description: This summoning creates a demonic form of the main gate of old Kyoto which is capable of blocking almost any attack; according to Sakon and Ukon, this was the ultimate defense developed by Orochimaru, and the fact that Kiba and Akamaru managed to dent it was impressive. It was believed that two people were required to summon it, as both Sakon and Ukon did; however, Orochimaru was able to summon three of these gates by himself with his Summoning: Triple Rashōmon. To do so, he simply used both hands, instead of one as is common in a summoning.

Description:This technique makes earth-chakra flow through the body, absorbing the properties of stone around the user to form a skin-deep armour that is transparent and is only visible when light reflects off it. Despite encasing the user's body, the armour has no apparent affect on the user's speed or agility. The armour is shown to be able to defend from all forms of blunt-force trauma. At the same time, it enhances the user's strength for more powerful physical strikes and break free or through restraints and walls. Because this jutsu works by constantly absorbed earth properties, it requires no extra chakra after initiating it, yet still needs a sufficient amount of stone to be performed. While powerful, it is highly absorbent and too much water will eventually affect the user's mobility and reduce its defensive might. Also, if in a muddy terrain, the user's excess weight can lead to sinking under.

Description: The user creates a solid wall of earth as a form of defence. Chakra is either converted to earth within the body and then spat out to form the wall or the user can manipulate pre-existing earth to form the wall. The earth then instantly rises up and takes form. The barrier itself is also coated with chakra, making its strength incomparable to that of a normal mud wall. Because of the earth's special characteristics, the wall is highly resistant against, for instance, fire and water. Also, for a Kage-class shinobi it is possible to create a vast volume of earth.

Description:This technique changes earth into fine sand by channelling chakra into it, allowing the user to dig through it like a mole. This effect goes around the body (not just the hands), making it just large enough for a person to move through. The user can pinpoint where they are, despite being underground, by sensing the magnetic forces. They can also sense what is happening on the surface and use that information to launch a surprise attack on the enemy. One can also hide deep in the ground, escaping to a depth where the enemy can't reach. It also appears that after digging, the ground can be returned to its original state, leaving no trace of where the user entered the earth.

Description: The user emits a constant stream of chakra from the bottom of their feet and use the repellent force to walk across the water's surface. This technique is more difficult to master than the Tree Climbing Technique, because the amount of chakra that needs to be emitted changes constantly. It has also been shown that one can use their chakra to "skate" across the water surface, instead of walking or running. The more one trains this technique, the more they reach a state where they stand on water without even noticing it or basically even trying.

Description: This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach using the Body Flicker Technique, the moment an attack hits. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. The user can then use this confusion to escape or launch a counter-attack. Exploding tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise.

Description: This technique is a standard ninja skill which allows a ninja to summon an assortment of items that have been stored using fūinjutsu. Scrolls are the most common choice for item storage. When needed, the owner will activate the seals releasing their item or weapon of choice. Scrolls can also be used as ammunition for other weapons or have other seals inside of them, which expands the number of potential tricks a shinobi can use.
Weapons are the most commonly sealed objects, with puppet jutsu also using this by having these hidden inside various compartments as a means of increasing their own killing potential as well as hiding useful weapons from the opponent's sight. Ninjutsu can also be stored in scrolls, to be released when the scroll is opened.

Description: This technique creates intangible copies of the user. The clones are simply illusions and will dissipate when they come into contact with something. The illusions can be seen through by the Byakugan and the Sharingan. Description: This jutsu is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalise the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination.

Description: This jutsu allows the user to transform either themselves or another object into the appearance of another person, animal, or object. This is one of the basic jutsu taught at the Konohagakure Ninja Academy, and most shinobi know this jutsu. The transformation technique is considered to be among the more difficult E-ranked techniques, since it requires constant emission of chakra while mentally maintaining the form.

History:
Early Arc: Kiyomi was born into an old family known by the name of Orihara. She lived with her mother, father, elder brother (by 3 years) and elder sister (by 2 years) in the village of Tsuchi no Sato, Territory P2. Her elder brother and herself both turned out to be able to use their family's special KKG, which was extremely rare especially considering they were siblings. When Kiyo turned 9, her elder brother left the village (technically legally) to pursue the more free lifestyle of a wanderer and search out a strong master to train him further. It was then that Kiyo knew that she also wanted to be a wanderer. By then, Kiyo was excellent in both ninjutsu and in fuuinjutsu thanks to the teaching her sister and parents provided her with. She was also training in martial arts and basic fighting skills, which she was rather good at. Meanwhile, her brother never returned to the village to visit or otherwise.

Mid Arc: Kiyomi trained and trained, eventually completing training with a village weaponry specialist and maker. She was quite accomplished in archery. By then, she had become an 11-year old C-ranked shinobi, which was quite the accomplishment in itself.

Mission Arc: She and three others were supposed to escort an important young boy back to his home territory near the Free Lands. It turned out to be an ambush. She, her two teammates, and sensei (aka her mother) were all attacked by a group of S-rank wanderers. Kiyo lost an eye in the battle, and her ankle was severely crippled, but her two teammates died from severe wounds. She managed to save the young shinobi by fleeing with him when her mother instructed her to leave her behind. She never knew what happened to her mother, but it was kind of obvious she died.

Motive Arc: Although it took a while, she managed to return to her village with the young boy. When she returned, she was promoted to Rank B for saving the boy and surviving the attack even her mother couldn't. After her eye healed over (although her vision was lost), she felt the need to learn how to treat wounds. Her sister worked at the local hospital, and she soon got her to start teaching her in the ways of medical ninja, feeling horribly guilty that she couldn't save her teammates. At the same time, she continued to work on her weapons. It was a year later, when she was 12, that she was instructed to go to a medical expert in Territory L to continue learning medical jutsu. She trained for two years, and all of her specialties were being perfected all at once (she was easily getting to A-rank and beyond as far as skills go). She chose to not return to her village and instead pursue the life of a wanderer. In fact, she really just wanted to find her brother. She went searching in many different territories, her skills becoming S-rank as she defended herself from many high-ranking shinobi along the way. She also made many acquaintances during her travels, but she has still yet to find her brother.
