Cute but Deadly [Group]

Karite sighed as she got up that morning. She took her shower and got dressed. She put on her normal shinobi outfit. She put on her black shorts and then started with her tops. Her black shirt hug close to her fishnet long sleeve undershirt. Her curves showing properly. She threw her cloak over her outfit and put her arms threw the sleeves. She decided to close it and put up her hood. She did a couple warm up stretches to make sure she was ready for the mission. She yawned and walked down to the kitchen, where her sister was waiting. “Hey Hitomi, how the hell are you up so early?” She giggled knowing the answer. Hitomi shook her head. “Breakfast is on the table. Don't do anything stupid while you are out on your mission today. I want no reports of dead people. Is that understood?” She put her hands on her hips and chuckled. Karite grabbed the toast and ate it quickly. “Yes, ma'am!” She joked. “I will make sure that no one gets a tanto in their spine.” She giggled and began to ran off as Hitomi yelled after her. “That's not funny!!!” Karite giggled as she kept running off into the thick of the Akumu Clan grounds.

She made her way to the village gates, having gone into her near emotionless state. She was wondering what annoying mission she had in store for her today. She finally reached the meeting place as she shook her head. "Hello Ami. Hiding in a tree again, are we?" She made her way closer to her. "What are we doing today?" She stretched slightly, waking herself up.

Letony made his way north of the Moon village gates prepared to complete yet another assignment where he would be paired with Moon shinobi. This wasn’t his first encounter with shinobi of the Moon; he’d met a man who used Ice style named Ryojin. They hit it off quite well. As Letony enters the Peach Blossom Forest, he raised his forehead protector slightly, acknowledging he belongs to the Sun village if the two were paying him any attention. He had his black cloak and white hoodie crinkled across his shoulders to reveal his headband and his rugged silver hair. The man’s face ripe with frustration, although he wasn’t frustrated in the slightest. He just maintained an angry looking face. You could see the white Konowari flak he wore beneath the black cloak; which was partially opened to reveal the Konowari clan symbol embroidered in the front center of the flak hoodie. His pants were average black jogger style bottoms, adorned with the typical pockets most shinobi wore. His Tanto would hardly be visible in the red sash that hugged around his waist several times, only to drift to about a foot above the ground between the man’s legs. It drifted back and forth as he walked.

Letony’s face would be marred by rays of sunlight obscured capriciously by the dangling peach blossom trees. Shadows seemed to dance across his face, as he approached the two. “Hey. Are you two apart of my mission? I’ve been assigned to handle some bears.” The man’s voice had a darker tone, and was quite deep for a 15 year old. He would speak after he noticed the women sitting on a tree branch and another stretching slightly. There was no reason for anyone random to be here, so Letony assumed these were his partners. This was Letony’s first time encountering female shinobi, but it made no difference in how he would approach this mission.

Everything was detailed on the mission scroll he’d received prior to leaving the Sun village. Everything except who Letony would be partnered with. So, this reveal of it being two female shinobi he never met, was quite shocking. Albeit, his disgruntled looking demeanor did not change. Letony would approach and stop just five meters from the tree sitting girl; enough distance to be comfortable, and communicate effectively. Letony was respectful of other’s personal bubbles.

Arashi had been in the moon village for a little bit and decided to take another mission before heading back to the sun. He picked a mission and headed for the meeting spot, a small forest of peach blossoms, just a bit north of the gates. He wore his blue hakama with his sandals, his cloak was open slightly, and floated behind him, he had most of his ninja equipment with him, his katana strapped to his left hip, a pouch with explosion notes on his right one, and a windmill shuriken on his back.

Arriving at the meeting point Arashi would find three people, a familiar face, a slightly less but still familiar face, and a complete stranger who oddly enough seemed to be a sun ninja. he silently smiled at the fact that the one he didn't know was actually someone who lived in the same village as him. "Hello, Ami, Karite." He did a quick nod to both Kunoichi, being glad to see them again since he didn't know many people from the moon, and it was awkward enough for him to meet just one new person. "A-and... how should I call you?" He looked at the man in front of him while smiling as warmly as he could muster with his nervousness of meeting someone new. "By the way... my name's Arashi Tento glad to meet you." He nodded to the last person while awaiting his response.

She sighed, hearing the other voices. She didn't really want to deal with other people but she figured they would do the work. She was glad that her hood had been up to keep her face mostly hidden. "Karite, Priestess of Death." She said with no emotion, glaring towards the new person under the hood. She would simply shake her head. "I'm ready to go. Where are we going? And we are going to fight bears?" She sighed, knowing that the last time did not go very well. She would let them fight the bears and deal with the hell. She would keep herself to the back and out of the way.

Letony gazed upon the women, as she lightly jumped from the tree branch, and landed directly ahead of where Letony stood. After she talked momentarily, Letony responded, “I’m in the right place then. I’m Letony, Konowari.” His voiced lacked any positive emotions, just the same as his face. Letony had difficulty expressing positive emotions, and this often factored into his interactions with new people. He was easily misunderstood, at best, most times. It was when the girl simply stared at him; where he felt a slight awkwardness creep up.

Toward Letony’s relief, another rustle besides himself, would begin to emerge into the peach blossom forest. Arashi greeted the two konoichi first; then turned his attention to Letony. Letony didn’t immediately recognize the man as a fellow Sun village shinobi; after all, he wasn’t acquainted with everyone from the Sun village at this point. Letony was a bit relieved he’d have another male along with them for their mission; although, he couldn’t shake the fact that they knew nothing about each other. In any case, they had plenty of time to get to know one another on this new mission. When Arashi finished asking what to call him, Letony replied once more, “I’m Letony.” He managed a reply before Arashi was done introducing himself. “And I guess I’m glad to meet you all too,” Letony had a nonchalant way of saying it, as he wasn’t truly glad at all, neither was this apparent by his bleak demeanor. He would state this, once Arashi finished introducing himself.

And now, they formed somewhat of a circle, each individual face to face, and prepared to delegate over their mission. The Hyuga women turned to acknowledge Letony, and delivered him, her name and village. Letony wasn’t surprised in the slightest, although he wondered about the last name. He didn’t outright ignore the women, he’d simply already stated his name, and it was visible which village he hailed from. The other women seemed to have a darker attitude than the Hyuga, and was hooded to hide the bulk of her face. She seemed to be glaring at Letony, but he paid this no mind, and would continue on. Maybe she doesn’t like men? Letony thought to himself inquisitively, as the women shook her head.

“So, who’s taking point on this one?” Letony briefly questioned the group, he was intrigued by which one of them would take on the leadership role. It would likely be the highest level person among them, which was curious as Letony knew nothing of anyone’s combat strengths, weaknesses, or origins. He didn’t even know what food they liked, but from the looks of it, he could guess that Hyuga, Ami was quite the drinker. Letony felt as though this mission was going to be fun, just by how they were circled together, but he couldn’t reveal his excitement.

"So, bear hunting..." Arashi said thoughtfully. "Well, with all of us here it shouldn't be too hard." When Letony asked who would take the leadership of this mission, Arashi immediately thought of Ami, after all, she was the highest rank member of the mission, yet she seemed like she wasn't feeling really good. "I mean... I think Ami should take the lead, but if she doesn't feel like doing it, well... I could do it as well... Although it would hardly be proper since I'm just C-Rank..." Arashi didn't really like being responsible for others, but he would do so if the situation needed him to. It's not that he was bad at leading, it's just that he worried too much that anybody would be harmed because of him. He would wait to see what the others had to say about Letony's question.

She listened to Ami, not really paying attention to the other two in the party. She would let Ami take lead and she didn't really want to deal with more bears. She followed Ami through the village, as they made their way to the forest. She heard the screams coming from deeper in the forest. She would stay to the back of the party, prepping herself for combat as she began to scan the woods. She would make sure that no bear could get to her this time. She wanted this mission to just be over with. She did want the bones from the bears however.

Letony stood there awaiting as though he was listening for a response, and indeed he was. He first heard Arashi. He suggested that the tree sitting women take the lead, Ami. It surprised Letony to see she was touted by the male shinobi, although the gender didn’t matter. She appeared to be the highest ranked among them, and Letony wouldn’t argue about who takes the lead. Instead, he would stand there with an inquisitive gaze on the women as she spoke, letting them know that it was a Moon village problem, and that Moon shinobi should take charge on it. It actually pleased Letony that they had someone who seemed to have a good rapport amongst her colleagues. Since he was only 15, and still an upstart, it was always good to be with someone of a higher degree. This reassured the boy, as the women continued on about their mission. He leaned in slightly to grasp what she was saying, as she read through the mission’s dossier scroll. That was when she returned the scroll into her pocket, “I’m not sure we’ll survive this,” Letony’s eye’s glanced over in pessimism. He couldn’t help, but be a drag.

Ami would lead the throng from the peach blossom forest, Letony following along behind Arashi, and Ami, but Karite was farther behind even Letony. Letony’s cloak swayed as they took steps out of the patch of forest, the shadows creeping along their faces, as they made way towards the village it seemed. At least that is what Letony thought. They continued walking along, inching closer to the village gates. His assumptions were confirmed when they neared arrival, as the gates were plainly in view. Letony prepared his mission scroll well before they reached the gates, where the guards were posted on duty. He removed it from beneath his white Konowari flak jackets breast section with his left hand on the later side. He quickly unraveled it once they were in range for the guards to comprehend what the scroll said. Letony took this precaution as a measure to hide a part of himself from the group, that being his aggressiveness when it came to interactions. He didn’t want to show how easily annoyed he became at just about everything. Letony didn’t want there to be an identity crisis, where they thought he was an enemy, or something like that, which dealt a slight blow of anxiety to him as they entered. It was a great thing that the guards simply nodded at Letony’s outstretched arm, as he showed the thin scroll; unraveled, and dangling helplessly in the air. It was hoisted by his right hand gripping the cylindrical tube of the scroll so as to not hinder its sides, as its bottom portion slid downwards. He retired the scroll with master precision, and returned it from whence it came by the time they were past the gates. Letony relished in the thought of not having to speak for a moment.  

As they maneuvered down the main street of Gekkousato, Letony’s head shifted constantly to stare at all the shops, restaurants, and café's littered around the location. His paranoia seemed to be rising as a result of the crowds the team encountered, as they marched. At the first sign of crowds, Letony’s face instantly turned to distain. He wasn’t happy about it in the slightest, but maneuvered through with the group nonetheless; his red sash following along dangling as well. Letony desired nothing more than to leave the busy area, and began following closer to Ami, and Arashi, but not leaving Karite behind too far.

The temperate weather of the Moon was disparate to the scorching hot desert, suiting Letony’s attire significantly better. He was at the right temperature physically, but he was mentally discontent. This would be relieved to some extent however, as the group reached a clearing of vegetation. It was a forest unlike the one they had just left. Trees ascending high in the sky to form a canopy over their heads, as they entered. ’To be a forest... this place is quiet. At least it's not that main road in the village again. Places like that piss me off,’ Letony thought to himself, when a scream came howling through the once tranquil air. Ami looked up at him, and everyone else, motioning for them to accompany her toward the genesis of the sound. Letony quickly gathered himself from his thoughts, and dashed to follow behind her, trying to maintain his formation position. It appeared the sound was close, although Letony couldn’t fully judge the distance, but he knew he needed to be prepared. He would clutch for his Tanto as he took off with Ami. “What a pain. If someone’s hurt already, I'm gonna be annoyed,” Letony let out in his lower toned voice. “If we don’t make it to help them in time, I do fear they might die.”

Letony wasn’t concerned about the loss of life, more so the loss of successfully completing his mission. He had no problems expressing his negative emotions at that moment, talking as they were running. He gripped the hilt of his Tanto, which was slid between somewhere on his abdomen, and the red sash that encircled his waist several times. Letony made this motion with his right hand once more, but didn’t fully commit in case he needed to perform Ninjutsu instead.

Arashi looked at Letony a bit worried because of his pessimism, so he would try to be the one to reassure. "We're gonna be okay, it's just some bears I've been in worse." He remembered the fight against the legendary beast, of course, that time there were a lot more ninja with him, but still he wouldn't let just some bears scare him.

As Ami lead them forward, Arashi followed close, almost next to her. He noticed Karite being way in the back, not exactly sure why he would just try and be aware as to not leave her too far behind. When they got to the gates of the village, Arashi showed his mission scroll to the guards, who just nodded at him and allowed him passage. After getting to the plaza, Arashi looked around at all the movement of people, there were a lot of people just going through their days, most of them probably weren't even aware of the bear threat just around the corner, this gave him more motivation to try and finish this mission without major incidents, as he would like to keep the place peaceful and happy. But as they entered the place where the bears were attacking they immediately heard a scream. Arashi followed as Ami lead the group towards the source. "I sure hope we do make it in time"

Karite nodded, calling over to the old man. She sighed, thinking about what more she can do, but she guessed it would be better just to get out of the way. She lead the man away from the fighting, making sure he stayed safe. She allowed him to lean himself onto her to keep himself from falling over. She got him back to the main road where she met up with a medical shinobi returning from a mission. She spoke with the shinobi who took over custody of the man. Karite would turn back and begin heading towards the trio.

After delivering his negativity, Letony felt more reassured at Arashi’s words. Maybe it wouldn’t be as dangerous as Letony imagined. He didn’t respond to Arashi at that moment, however. And now they were moving toward the origin of a scream they heard while moving through the once silent forest. The women known as Ami was still ahead of Letony a few meters, along with Arashi who was close by her side. Letony’s right hand was in limbo trying to decide if the Tanto would be necessary or Ninjutsu instead. After Letony finished speaking, he heard Arashi say that he hoped the throng did make it in time. He seemed to be a noble man in Letony’s eyes, in contrast to what Letony could be at the worst of times. That was when Ami suddenly took off ahead of the group. Letony had his eyes following and noticing her movements closely. ‘Was that the Konowari Air Dash? Can’t be. Her last name isn’t Konowari. Though, I’ve seen that technique before.’ Letony pondered as Ami used a wind style technique to advance ahead of the group. A technique similar to one in his own arsenal. ‘That’s the technique that strange man used back then.’ Letony reflected on his past, imagining the Kaguya he fought leaping into the air with same exact technique.  

When Letony arrived behind Ami and Arashi, he stared at the grossly injured, and ruggedly clothed man lying directly against a tree; which lent some shade to his battered body. Letony glanced over from the man to see the threat that the mob would be dealing with. There were six bears close together in a pack. It seemed unusual for Letony to witness bears working in such cooperation. ‘Is there something more to this?’ Letony questioned as two bears broke off from the throng and headed toward the poor injured man. That was when Ami dashed into action. “I’ve never dealt with bears before. But I got an idea on how to contain a few,” He watched as Ami performed hand seals, although he couldn’t see them since she was facing forward from him.  

Letony could just make out that she was doing seals from her arm movements, “I guess it’s that time.” Letony performed seals of his own after watching Ami’s, and a water whip lashed out after one of the bears. ‘So, she uses water style. Interesting.’ Ami turned to view the group, Letony’s attention focused on her words, and face now, as she gave orders to Karite.  

Then her attention focused to them, the two sun shinobi. “A bear a piece? Not a problem.”

He observed the women wrestle the bear with the whip, and unsheathe a Katana. ‘Bukijutsu too eh? Not bad.’ Letony would think as he ran forward reaching closer to Ami, but on the later side of where Arashi would be. The second bear was still active, and would reach closer to the man. If Letony didn’t act, it would reach to maul him again but Karite was swift to step up and escort the man off. Holding his hand seal, air began to translucently compress around the bear, as it had stopped. Karite had already successfully removed the man from the tree, so Letony placed his technique where the bear would end up, confused as to where his target disappeared so quickly. “Konowari Razor Massacre Formation!” A hallow, cylindrical, and translucent wind chakra barrier, formed tightly around the bear’s physique capturing it. The cylinder of a barrier was just big enough to fit the entire bear inside, not reaching the full potential of the technique in the slightest.  

Now with that bear taken care of, Letony’s glance shot toward the other bears. “I could capture them all at once, if you guys can round them up. Then one of us can take them all out at once. Unless you guys, and gals had other ideas,” The barrier was hard to see but, had a transparent outline.

Technique Used
Konowari Razor Massacre Formation (C-Rank)

Arashi followed close to Ami, but at some point, he started to be left behind by her, he would still run as fast as possible being the second to arrive on the scene. There, a man leaned against a tree clearly the victim of the bears who followed closely, Ami grabbed one with a whip made of water, as Letony caged one in a wind jutsu, meanwhile, Karite took care of getting the man to safety.

"Right! I'll try to take on as many as I can!" He responded to Ami. As soon as he did one of the bears from the pack went to attack Ami trying to free its kin, Arashi stepped in between the bear and her, While he did some quick hand signs preparing a jutsu. The bear stood in two of its legs, getting ready to maul him, At that point, Arashi released his Lightning Eagle Jutsu, Which Rammed at the bear almost lifting it completely off the ground. It resisted Bringing its weight down on Arashi's Jutsu, which only helped to electrocute itself, he took the opportunity of the bear flinching to jump onto its face and stab it in the eye with his katana, then with both hands, he pushed making the katana come out at the other side of the bears head. The bear went limp almost immediately as his brain was pierced, Arashi jumped back and prepared to help more in any way he could.

"One downed." He let the group know as his jutsu toppled the bear's dead body and kept flying away.

Lightning Eagle

Karite noticed that the bear was coming towards her. She simply sighed as she raised up her right hand, aiming at the bear. She shook her head. "Do you really want to test me?" She sighed as the bear got into a range where it could not effectively dodge. "Fire Style: Blaze Bullet." She said as a beam of fire came forward from her hand at the bear. She watched the bear get blasted by the fire. As the bear lay in cinders, she looked over to the trio. "Anyone for barbecue bear?" She smiled weakly, ready to support the others if they needed the help.

Letony viciously watched as his cohorts began executing bears at a heightened pace. He tensed as a bear attempted to rush after Ami, Arashi stepping between and firing some form of Lightning style technique which resulted in a swift shock, then a stab of death. Letony was taken aback by Ami’s viciousness in slaying the bear. She clearly had something against them it would seem, stabbing into the bear with her Katana in the chest, and reseating her blade within the poor creature's torso, before leaping back allowing the large beast to tumble backwards in death. Arashi performed something similar after his Lightning release technique, goring the bear’s eye, and forcing his Katana through the later side of the creature’s brain. ‘It seems they’re all proficient in Bukijutsu,’ Letony pondered to himself whilst still holding the bear with his barrier. The creature seemed to hardly be capable of breathing as the barrier was forcefully tight around its exterior.  

Arashi had leapt back and mentioned having taken one bear down, “I better clean up my mess then,” Letony casually performed more seals at that moment, cupping his mouth with his right hand. He sucked in a great breath of air, and exhaled a basketball sized blast of condensed wind chakra. The blast of wind kicked up the air around them briefly, firing like a bullet from Letony’s mouth, and headed directly to the captured bear. Roughly an inch prior to making contact with the barrier, the technique dissipated, allowing the what was now a 2-meter sized ball of compressed wind, to directly impact the bear. The great blast of wind sent the bear airborne, its great force pushing up against the bear’s chest, as it seemed to travel with the blast of wind as it hurled through the air. The bear’s limbs flopped forward, as its chest was being caved in by the blast. The bear shot upward a considerable distance, and would die as the bullet dissipated in mid-air, sending the bear crashing to the ground with a mighty thud, and most certainly killing and maiming the poor creature as many of its bones were broken, its skull and brain fractured and leaking blood out on the ground. The bear traveled a far distance from them however, so they would never fully realize the result of the attack. Except as they could see the bear free falling from the sky after having been launched.

That was when Ami spoke, informing the group that they needed to work faster, but Letony’s focus would be on the bears as they seemed to scatter from their thronged position. Two heading towards Letony, Arashi, and Ami, then one splitting off toward Karite. Before the split could take place effectively enough, Letony formed more seals. “Got it. Let’s not waste time then. Razor Massacre Formation!” A swift five-meter in diameter cylinder of translucent wind chakra formed around the bear’s before they could create enough distance between each other to escape. They’re heads would go crashing into the translucent barrier, as it appeared, they could not fully comprehend anything was there. “I’m gonna take the barrier down on your signal, Ami, Arashi. Unless you have something to break completely through it?” Letony found himself enjoying this mission, as his allies seemed quite capable, indeed. That was when Karite released her fire release technique. Although the bear was within the confines of the barrier; it was still directed toward Karite. So, as her fire jutsu impacted the translucent barrier, it broke immediately, allowing the fire entry to scorch to poor bear. Hopefully his teammates picked up on this, Letony shocked as the women was very quiet up until now. “Fire Release? That’s perfect. How about we combine our jutsu and create a fire storm,” The man directed his attention at Karite. “It seems my barrier idea has failed, and barbeque bear.... sounds intriguing,” Letony jested. The bears were released once more, however startled by watching their cohort become engulfed in flames.
