Sojiro had been trying to follow up on the increasing number of missing children in the slums of the village the best that he could, but there was only so much that one man could really do on his own. His biggest issue was that he wasn't sure who he could trust on the situation, this was too big for the village to be slacking as much as they were. Although the village had reported some children missing and created missions to look for them, it was only roughly a third of the total children that had gone missing. Since moving into the large estate with Genkumaru and Kannagi, Sojiro had dedicated a room to the search of the children and there was a wall plastered with faces that stared at him every time he entered. Despite this, Sojiro had been doing his best to not let it bog him down in his day to day, because no one would accomplish anything while slamming their head into a wall. So, after handling his normal business for the day and closing up his clinic, the man would actually move to his home and change into some casual clothing. After that, he headed towards the slums.
The raven-black hair of Sojiro would hang freely as he walked towards the slums, having decided to dress more casually since he was more likely to blend in this way. He wore a white t-shirt that would hug his form enough to just tease at the muscles beneath, a pair of baggy black pants on his lower body as he shifted down the streets. The sky had turned a beautiful shade of orange as the sun had started to set, though as he got closer to the slums, there was a certain smell that began to tickle his nose. It was the smell of grapes, with the faint undertone of sake. This aroma was something he had only run into once before and, when he had, it was also accompanied by smoke. He was curious to see if it was the Oni he met previously, walking a bit before he would turn down the street that the scent was coming from.
