Name: Jatori Karasu
Nickname/Alias: Kugutsu Seijin (The Puppet Sage)

Looks:

Despite being in his late thirties, Karasu has a rather youthful look. His skin, although white by nature, holds a healthy tan due to having grown up in the desert sun. His brushy, blonde, half-long hair is tied into a wild knot on the back of his head. He has a small blonde goatee and blue eyes. His old Sunagakure headband is still around his head, with a strike through it.

As for his cloathing, he is almost always seen wearing the Akatana robes, the only thing setting him apart from other members in terms of attire is the large scroll hanging from his back, and the belt running from his waist to his right shoulder to keep it in place. The scroll contains all his puppets. Underneath, his cloathing consist of an all-black attire. Over an ordinary black shirt he wears a black , sleeveless vest with hardened leather shoulderpads and a reinforced collar, black pants with reinforced kneepads and ordinary shinobi sandals.

Personality:

One word to best describe Karasu would be apathetic. He prefers to stay clear of troublesome things only getting involved if he sees personal benefit in doing so. Having gone though much pain through his life, he has adopted the believe that bonds and ties only bring pain to a person, and the smartest way to go through life is to distance yourself from it. Karasu usually goes about doing his thing, not really caring what other people think about him.

A very polite person by nature, Karasu seems to have little patience when it comes to rude people. Neither a very quiet person nor a loudmouth, while Karasu only speaks if he feels it is nessicary to speak he does tend to ramble sometimes by using more words than he needs to to get his point across. He has a dry, cynical type of humor often making small wisecracks about even the darkest subjects.

A very distant person, Karasu focuses mostly on creating new puppets and furthering his goals and prefers to stay out of affairs that don't concern him. He enjoys his privacy; letting his mind roam free. Similiar to his name, which means Crow, Karasu seems to be rather fond of birds. All of his puppets are named after birds, and he enjoys bird watching to clear his mind.

Karasu is also a very closed person. He prefers not to show his true emotions, motivations and thoughts to people and views people who have their emotions constantly on the frontline as fools. He is intelligent, cold, calculating and rational making him a deadly strategist.

Master Puppeteer Karasu's nickname "Ten-fingers" isn't a mere bragging title. He is skilled enough in puppetry to control ten puppets at once.

Chakra Control Karasu has amazing chakra control. For example, he can make his chakra strings so thin they are invible to the naked eye.

Quick of Hand Karasu is extremely quick of hand, so much that he can take his scroll off his back and summon them out to the field in a mere second.

Flaws/Weaknesses:

Elemental Ninjutsu: Due to having focused on other ways of combat through all his life, Karasu can only use one element.

Close-range Combat: Karasu's skills in Taijutsu are severly lacking, giving him a disatvantage in close combat.

Dependant on his Puppets: Since most of Karasu's techniques are performed through his puppets, if all of them are destroyed or if he is somehow seperated from his scroll he will be at a severe disatvantage.

Appearance: A puppet that resembles a human without features. Just a wooden torso, a head and two legs.

Special Abilities: Karasu has about ten of these puppets. They are hollow and filled with explosive tags from the inside, making them suicide troops of sorts.
Origin: Created by Karasu after he went rogue.

Name: Puppet Arm
Appearance: A right arm that is made to resemble a normal human arm as close as possible.

Special Abilities: It has vents running through it, used to performing Zankuuha and its stronger version. It can also conjure chakra shields.
Origin: Karasu created this to replace his lost right arm.

Name: Inko (Parakeet)
Appearance: A puppet about 150 centimeters tall wearing a black cloak. It has the shape of a 13-year old girl with a blonde ponytail. It resembles Karasu's twin sister as a genin.

Special Abilities: Its left arm ends in a sharp blade. By placing its right, flat palm against Kanaria's left, flat palm, five razor-sharp, thin wires will be spun in between them, one per finger. The wires are almost invisible to the naked eye and sharp enough to cut through steel, flesh and bone. The wires are five meters long.
Origin: Karasu's first puppet, given to him by his father.

Appearance: A puppet about 150 centimeters tall wearing a black cloak. It has the shape of a 13-year old boy with a blonde mullet. It resembles Karasu as a genin.

Appearance: A puppet about 160 centimeters tall wearing a black cloak. It has the shape of a young woman with waist-lenght, red hair. On its back is a large barrel as tall and twice as thick as the puppet itself.

Special Abilities: Komadori is a fire-based puppet. It has a scroll containing a large ammount of fire in its torso, which it can unleash through its mouth or through two vents in its hands. The barrel contains a large ammount of highly flamable oil. The oil can be expelled either through the vents in its hands or through a small vent on its bottom opened and closed by a slight twitch of Karasu's finger.
Origin: Karasu created this puppet as a genin.

Name: Garanchou (Pelican)
Appearance: A puppet about 160 centimeters tall wearing a black cloak. It has the shape of a young man with strange, blue hair that emerges from its scalp and fall over its head in many thick strands. On its back is a large barrel as tall and twice as thick as the puppet itself.

Special Abilities: Garanchou is a water-based puppet. The barrel contains a large ammount of water. The water can be expelled either through the vents in its hands or through its mouth.
Origin: Karasu created this puppet right before the chuunin exams.

Name: Oumu (Parrot)
Appearance: A puppet wearing a black cloak. It has the appearance of an old, hunchbacked woman with grey hair and a hooked nose.

Special Abilities: Oumu's greatest asset is its ability to travel through sand and dirt. It has two fifty shuriken stored inside, which it can fire through its mouth in rapid succession. Long spikes can emerge from its hunched back. The spikes are as thin as a finger, but two meters long and strong enough to pierce through thin layers of rock.
Origin: Karasu created this puppet as a chuunin.

Name: Taka (Falcon/Hawk)
Appearance: A puppet wearing a black cloak. It resembles an adult male with half-long, white hair.

Special Abilities: It has two hundred poison senbon stored inside, which it can fire through its mouth in a machinegun-like volley. It has vents in its hands, allowing it to perform Zankuuha and its stronger version.

Name: Hato (Dove)
Appearance: A puppet wearing a black cloak. It is about 180 centimeters tall. It has the appearance of a rather fat, bald man.

Special Abilities: It has fifty shuriken stored inside, which it can fire through its mouth in rapid succession. Its body is reinfoced with powerful steel, making it slower but able to withstand a much greater ammount of damage than other puppets. Its stomach is hollow, allowing the user to enter through its back and hide inside for attacks. From its hands it can create chakra shields.
Origin: Karasu created this puppet as a chuunin.

Name: Kounotori (Stork)
Appearance: A puppet wearing a black cloak. It resembles an extremely tall man, about 220 centimeters tall. It is very slim, with a long face and short, brown hair. It has six arms.

Special Abilities: Kounotori is covered in needles, making touching it without getting wounded quite challenging without an armor of sorts. Its upper two arms end in two deadly blades. Its lower two arms can be used to create chakra shields. Its middle two arms end in shuriken grenades that can be launched, and will fire shuriken in all direction once done so.
Origin: Karasu created this puppet right before his promotion to jounin.

Name: Menfukurou (Barn Owl)
Appearance: A puppet wearing a black cloak. It resembles a short male with a large head for its body. It is bald, but has a blonde goatee.

Special Abilities: A powerful puppet, Kotsutaka can fire either shuriken or kunai with explosive tags through its mouth. Its right arm can open up and reveal hidden compartments with summoning seals attached to them. Its vent in its left arm connects to a scroll in its stomach containing a large ammount of extremely sticky fluid. It can shoot the fluid through its vent to bind an opponent.

Appearance: A puppet wearing a black cloak. It resembles a samurai with its brown hair in a knot.

Special Abilities: Shirowashi's right hand holds a large shield that can cover its entire body. When chakra is channeled through the shield through Karasu's chakra threads, it can withstand up to A-rank attacks. Its left hand holds a crossbow-like device that can shoot bolts at twice a kunai's speed. The bolts typically have about twenty explosive tags stuck to their shaft, meaning that once they colide with something they will create a rather large explosion.

Special Abilities: Shirowashi's rleft hand holds a large shield that can cover its entire body. When chakra is channeled through the shield through Karasu's chakra threads, it can withstand up to A-rank attacks. Its right hand holds a morning star. Its chain can extend to ten meters, and the spikes on its ball can also expand and gain five meters in lenght.

Name: Chakura no Ito (Chaka Strings)

Description: The most basic puppetry jutsu. This allows the user to attach strings of chakra from their fingertips to their puppet, allowing them to control it from a distance. In order to become attached to an object, the strings must make contact with the object through the puppeteer or another object. The more skilled the puppeteer, the less strings that are needed per puppet. A true master can control more than ten puppets at once by creating an additional chakra string with some fingers, but a novice will need ten fingers to control just one. The strings can also be attached to other inanimate objects to manipulate them, for example rocks, logs or weapons lying around. This is usually done by connecting chakra threads to a kunai and throwing the kunai at the object the user wishes to manipulate. When the kunai hits the object, the strings will transfer from the kunai to the object.

Description: Chakra no Tate is a Ninjutsu technique used by puppet masters. This shield is created when chakra is emited in the form of a disk from panels which fan out from the puppet arms. This technique is the ultimate version of the lesser technique, it creates a massive gust of wind capable of totally wiping out his target and the surrounding area.

Description: A puppet performance technique where chakra threads are attached to various spots on a person's body; the head, torso, both arms, and both legs. The person being manipulated gains the ability to not only use their own techniques, but the skills of the puppeteer as well.

The origins of this technique lie on the battlefield. When a puppet user's puppets were all destroyed, they would begin using corpses. To perform this technique with a living person would normally require both parties to cooperate with each other. However, a highly skilled user can control the target by force if the person is severely weakened or damaged rendering them unable to resist.

Description: A technique developed by Sasori during his time in Sunagakure, this allows the user to create puppets from human corpses. By removing the internal organs of a foe and preserving the body to prevent decomposition, as well as adding weapons and defences, the user can make powerful human puppets. These puppets are different from normal ones, as they retain their use of chakra and any kekkei genkai that the human host once had.

Description: After the required hand seals, a thin layer of electricity surrounds the user, forming a second skin around them. If the opponent touches the user, he or she will recieve a painful shock. And the limb or part of the body that touched the user will become completely paralyzed for one post. If the user is touched with a sword or other weapon that conducts electricity, the arm wielding the sword will recieve the effect. The aura dissapears after it has been touched.

Description: A simple technique that requires no hand seals. If an opponent directly touches one of the user's chakra threads, the threads will transfer to the opponent. Then, by channeling lightning chakra through the thread, the user can electrocute the opponent for as long as the thread stays connected. The electrocution isn't deadly, but extremely painful and powerful enough to force the opponent to their knees, thus leaving them open for a follow-up attack.

History:

Childhood and Academy

His childhood had been pretty ideal. His mother was a housewife and his father was a revered jounin known for his great use of puppets. He also had a twin sister, Nanako. Both of the parents loved Karasu and Nanako a lot, and the young children would often watch their father build his puppets and train with them. Because of this, they already had a decent amount of knowledge about puppetry when entering the academy, causing them to become fairly popular among his fellow students.When the two were ten, the father, Watari Gyo, created a puppet for both of them. Karasu’s puppet was called Parakeet and resembled Nanako, while Nanako’s puppet had the name Canary and resembled Karasu. Gyo told them that now, the two would never be alone. They would always have each other to rely on.

Genin

The twins were not placed in the same genin team, though. Karasu was put into a team with a jounin going by the name of Ranji, a female genin using Taijutsu by the name of Yui and a bookish, glass wearing genjutsu using boy called Toshio. The three genin became good friends, and Karasu and Nanako found themselves spending more and more time with their new genin friends than with each other. This went fine for a while, until a certain mission. Team Ranji, Karasu’s team, was sent to the borders of the Earth Country to defend an important fortress against the invading forces of a large band of missing nin, while team Kou, Nanako’s team, was sent on a mission near the Fire Country.

Karasu spent most of his time during the war defending that fortress, as it was an important barrier to protect the border. During these times Karasu matured greatly, experiencing the death of comrades around him. His only contact with his home came in the form of hawks. He would frequently write home and ask about Nanako’s wellbeing, but the parents knew nothing. Karasu didn’t have much time to worry about it, as the fighting was heavy and he had to give it his all in order to keep his team from dying. This was only partly successful.

At a certain time, during a the final stages of war, the criminals launched one final assault against the fortress, this time with all their might. They managed to invade the building, and in the thick of battle Karasu was separated from his team. After a while, the poor puppeteer was pressed into a corner together with a few other shinobi, and the group of togue jounin almost succeeded in killing Karasu. They had already killed the rest of the shinobi that had been cornered, but just as the jounin was about to plunge his sword into the shivering Karasu, Ranji jumped in front of him and took the blade, killing the nukenin with a mutual strike. With his final breath, he told Karasu the rest of the castle was cleared and the battle was over. Karasu came to the painful realization that, if the jounin hadn’t been protecting him, Ranji wouldn’t have died as the battle was over. And even though Toshio didn’t blame him afterwards, Yui grew much colder towards Karasu after the war and their friendship was eventually broken.

But the biggest shock awaited now sixteen year-old Karasu when he came home; Nanako was dead. Killed in an ambush. Her body had been maimed beyond recognition and all they had been able to recover of her possession was the scroll containing Canary; the puppet resembling her brother. Apparently her corpse had been clutching the scroll..

Chuunin

Saddened by both Ranji and Nanako’s death, Karasu grew silent and cold. Yui wouldn’t talk to him anymore. His only friend left was Toshio, who did notice the once cheerful, warm and naïve Karasu’s personality change. Gyo, however, was instead enraged about Nanako’s death and swore vengeance to the missing-nin that killed her. However, the Kazekage didn't want Gyo to go on a wild goose chase and ordered him to give up on revenge and stay in the village.

Gyo couldn't let go, however, and fled the village to hunt down the bandits himself. Naturally, this didn't go well with the Kazekage Most people started to develop a deep loathing for the deserter puppeteer, and the loathing of some people moved over to Gyo’s family. Thus, Karasu and his mother were in deep trouble. They were also being discriminated by the village. Karasu was suddenly disliked by most people, and his last friend, Toshio, also left his side.

Jounin

Now a jounin, Karasu participated in the third shinobi war. Having become slightly more his old self again, his goal was to make up for both the death of Nanako and Ranji and the mistakes of his father by becoming a war hero. At first all went well, and his abilities greatly contributed to the fight. However soon Suna found itself pushed back, and not shortly afterwards Sunagakure was under siege. Despite sending pleas to the other villages, no help came and Suna was raided by Iwagakure no Sato. Karasu's mother was among the victim's. Now that his mother gone, he truly had nothing left.

Akatana

For years Karasu grieved, until one day he decided to leave the sand, just after his promotion to sannin. The reason was because after all he had been though, Suna was just a place of bad memories. For several years he traveled around, looking for a new goal in life. Until he finally came across the Akatana, and his new life began.

Trouble was heading for Sunagakure no Sato. The village’s massive cliff walls could be seen rising from the desert from miles away. These walls provided the village with both protection and security. From these high walls, patrolling shinobi would be able to see anyone who was closing in on the village from miles away, making it nearly impossible to sneak up on it. Nearly, that is. Granted, on a clear, pleasant evening like this traveling above the surface would make one completely visible to anyone standing on Suna’s walls. Above the surface, that is. Unknown to the sentries patrolling the cliffs, a threat closed in on Suna, moving towards the village from under the dunes. It was Rainen. Using Doton to travel underground, he was closing in on the village quickly. This technique was one of Rainen’s favorites. It took surprisingly little chakra yet it could be used in more ways than can be counted on two hands.

Rainen had a plan. A plan to start a war between Oto and Suna. He had been plotting to destroy his former village for two years. To this end he had joined the Akatsuki, a powerful organization composed of some of the world’s most dangerous criminal shinobi. Deadly as this group was, however, S-ranked criminal named Rainen wasn’t satisfied. The organizations had other priorities than the destruction of Oto, and Rainen couldn’t wait for them to finish those. He was impatient. He would set in motion the engine of the Sound’s destruction himself! Otogakure no Sato was a mighty village nowadays, having defeated both Iwagakure and Kumogakure in its rise to power. Rainen knew that. He had contributed to those victories himself! He had been fighting on the front lines in the war versus Kumogakure no Sato. Yes, Oto was strong, therefore it needed a strong enemy. Sunagakure had recently opened its gates to missing-nin looking for a second chance. Even outside of Akatsuki, there were a lot of incredibly powerful missing-nin walking around in the shinobi world. Some of which indeed heeded the Kage’s call. These shinobi greatly added to Suna’s military power, making it the perfect enemy against Oto

In the meantime, Rainen had reached Suna and was now traveling underneath the walls. As soon as he popped up at the other side of it, standing behind a tall building, he instantly performed a quick, one handed seal. All that was required for the simple Transformation Technique. In an instant the young man in the Akatsuki cloak with his blue hair was transformed in an entirely other person. A man in his thirties with blonde, short hair and a scar on his chin. He wore the typical Otogakure outfit and an Otogakure headband. In this disguise, the plan was to damage the village and raise hell, then retreat before he would get caught. But he would make sure people would get a clear glimpse of his Otogakure headband. That would pit Suna against Otogakure. And with hints about an allegiance soon, so would Akatsuki…

He was going to use as little chakra as possible, however. There was a chance he might get into a fight against an equal opponent, maybe even the new Kage himself. In that case, he would need all his chakra. Luckily both Underground Submarine Voyage and Transformation were very chakra-efficient so Rainen’s chakra reserves were as good as full. And with that, Rainen dashed off. To the kage building he went. The best way to start a war was to attempt an assassination on the new Kazekage, or Dezatokage as he apparently changed the name of the rank. Of course all he would do was attempt assassination with one attack and retreat afterwards.

And so, after sneaking through the village trying to find the most abandoned route he could take, silencing the occasional lonely civilian by slitting their throat with a kunai before they could react, the disguised Rainen had reached the Kage building. He didn’t mind the trail of blood he had left behind. Someone would come across it soon enough, but that was fine. He WANTED to be discovered. Just not before he had staged his assassination-attempt on the Dezatokage.

Now came the moment. He had to be quick. He had to reach the kage building’s balcony, the one that leaded to the Dezatokage’s office. However going in from the inside would definitely get him spotted with the abundance of shinobi crawling around in there. So his best option was to scale the building’s wall using chakra to maintain his grip while walking vertically. However that, too, would leave him with a risk of getting caught. Just as Rainen was considering other idea’s, he heard a distant scream. A woman’s scream. Someone had discovered one of the corpses. Rainen smiled. He owed that woman a thanks. Now the attention of every shinobi in the village would be directed to the source of this scream. No one would watch the Kage building! So Rainen dashed. With speed typical to an S-rank melee specialist but insane for a normal human and impressive, though traceable, to a jounin’s trained eyes, Rainen dashed up the building. He didn’t waste a single second, gratefully using the woman’s diversion to its fullest.

And landed on the balcony to the Kage’s office. Now for the assassination attempt and he would be out of here in an instant. Rainen had barely landed or he opened op a summoning scroll making a swarm of kunai burst through the window that led to the Kage’s office. Some of the kunai had explosive tags attached to them, and the explosions would immediately alert the village, as well as increasing the killing potential of the attack. Of course Rainen didn’t expect someone powerful enough to hold the position of Kage to die that easily, but the added killing power made the assassination attempt look more believable, making it seem like the assassin really tried.

Removed all refferences to poison.

Removed poison SC, though I removed one flaw also so its 3 SC's and 3 Flaws

Replaced the senbon launcher of most puppets with a shuriken launcher that fires less shuriken at a time, but has more killing power.
