Territory System

Post by Suijin on Tue Mar 21, 2017 11:20 pm

[1]  Of the Territory System

There are multiple methods of taking over a territory or village, which will be addressed below.

Conquest of Territories
The Territory System controls how a Clan or Village can take control of a territory, whether it is currently uncontrolled or not. Please keep in mind, however, if a territory is already being contested between two separate factions, a third may not intervene until it has been settled. A single faction may consist of a clan, village or an alliance of clans and/or villages. Random shinobi representing other interests may not post in topics with the 'Conquest' prefix. If they do not own the territory, or are not involved in the attempted conquest of that territory, they have no reason to post in the topic and will only detract from the purpose. The territories are labeled by number on the map in the section below. Unclaimed territories may be found in the 'Neutral Territories' forum. Once a territory has been conquered or claimed, a village can be constructed representing either one clan or multiple clans. Even a single person, should they prove strong enough, can conquer a territory alone and start his own village (or organization).

Territories can also have structures built on them by the Leader of the Village or Organization that owns the territory. Each village will have their home territory listed under their primary forum. A village's home territory, should they possess multiple territories, may not be conquered unless all other territories have first been conquered.

In order to take possession of a territory, a clan or individual must first create a topic with the 'Conquest' prefix. All those who wish to be a part of the resulting organization or village may join in to assist in this conquest. In cases of neutral territory, another faction (such as a village, clan, organization or even individual) may be join in to oppose your conquest of that territory. If whoever opposes the conquest does so successfully, they will be considered the de facto controllers of the territory at the end of the conquest.

Conquests are won or lost either when all participating shinobi have been incapacitated or killed, or after one real week has passed. Should one real week pass, those who were 'defeated' on both sides will be counted and those with less defeated will be named the controller of the territory.

Internal Rebellion
Should the current leader of a village or organization be noticeably neglecting his duties or running the village in a disagreeable manner, a shinobi of that village or organization who possesses a Shinobi Ranking of at least S may stage a rebellion against that leader. These topics must have a 'Rebellion' prefix and anyone who supports your rebellion may join you. The leader is required to respond to this topic within 72 hours or he will lose by default. However, should either side be wiped out entirely, or the leader of either side be defeated, control of the village or organization will be given to the winning party. Unlike Conquests, there is no time constraint on a rebellion. A shinobi who is of at least S-Ranking may lead a counter-rebellion within 72 hours of decision, but after 72 undisputed hours have passed, rebellions are solidified and another rebellion may not take place for a minimum of two weeks. In order for a rebellion to be staged to begin with, you must have at least 5 other shinobi of that village to aid you in your fight.
