Yagyuu Clan

Post by Suijin on Sun Apr 13, 2014 10:10 am

Clan Name: Yagyuu Clan
Home Village: Wandering
Symbol:
Spoiler:
History: The Yagyū clan is a famed group of nomadic travelers that originated near the Fire Country borders. Although they hold no allegiance to a particular village, their mastery in weaponry techniques and, primarily swordsmanship, had led them to become notorious for their mercenary work to the highest paying villages. Although the clan was nomadic, many had settled among the villages though much to the discomfort of their fellow shinobi. Members of this clan had been, for many years, both respected and feared as some of the greatest masters of bladed weaponry throughout the lands.

Yagyū, Muneyoshi was the first famous Yagyū swordsman. He fought for a number of different lords before meeting the Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village. The Hokage, having heard the many legends and lore surrounding the clan, challenged Muneyoshi to a duel which resulted in Muneyoshi's decisive victory. Although Muneyoshi had won and the Hokage offered him refuge among the Hidden Leaf Village, he rejected the proposal and went on to leave the Hidden Leaf Village.

Later on, Muneyoshi was invited to the Water Country in the Hidden Mist Village, where he provided such an incredible display of sword skills that the Mizukage asked that the Yagyū become sword instructors to the Hunter Ninja in the Hidden Mist. Muneyoshi suggested that his son Munenori be the Hunter Ninjas' teacher; Muneyoshi then retired from swordsmanship, and died later on, by which time Munenori had become the Mizukage after the late Mizukage had appointed him on his death bed.

The Mist Village bears many memorials to the Yagyū family, and their family graveyard is considered sacred ground. Today, many of the clan reside within the Hidden Mist Village. However, the vast majority still wander the lands as rogue shinobi or wanderers.

Clan Bloodline:
- Bloodline Name: Kurogan
- Originating Clan: Yagyuu Clan
- Appearance: Members of this clan look completely ordinary and have wide range of appearances. However, their pupils are always red which stands out from ordinary
- Description:
Members of the Yagyuu Clan inherit two abilities in particular which are limited to their bloodline and clan. The first is the Kurogan, the Black Eye, which grants them multiple innate abilities when active. The second thing they inherit is a summoning contract with "Kijins", also known as Demon Blades. Each member of the clan is born into the summoning contract as it is a special contract that was signed by the Clan Leader many decades prior to the development of the Kurome. This summoning contract was signed by the clan leader in the name of the clan, therefore all born into the clan are born into the contract. Members of the clan can summon the blades, once the blade has been created, and communicate with it telepathically. However, the first one to summon a Kijin (demon blade) becomes the master of that Kijin until death. No other person can summon or use the Kijin. If someone were to try to use the Kijin it would simply disappear back to its realm or re-summon into the user's hand. (More details will be added in the summoning contract creation and what-not.)

There are multiple jutsu that can be used in conjunction with a Kijin which are kept as secret clan jutsu.

The Kurogan can take many forms and the number of forms which the user can make use of are limited to their rank. A D-rank shinobi can make use of only one, which is the same with a C-rank shinobi. A B-rank shinobi can activate two forms of the Kurogan. An A-rank can activate three different forms of the Kurogan. None of these ranks can activate two different forms at the same time. At S-rank the user can activate three different forms of the Kurogan as well as activate two forms at once, using two forms simultaneously in both eyes. All forms of the Kurogan grant a reflex boost of 25 which consumes 5 chakra points per post that the form is active, in addition to the cost of the form which is 10. So the Kurogan, regardless of what form it takes on, has a total cost of 15 chakra per post that it is active. However, the user can activate a plain Kurogan (which simply turns their pupils pure black) with no form and only face 5 chakra points of consumption per post. Activating two forms at the same time costs an additional 10 chakra points resulting in 25 per post.

The clan member chooses which forms they wish to be capable of in their Character Statistics Sheet under "Bloodline Link". Once chosen, it can not be changed except to add one upon ranking up.

Kurome: The Kurome is the first form of the Kurogan and was developed by the clan in order to more effectively utilize their swords in combat. The Kurome grants extrasensory perception. It grants them the ability to sense all of their surroundings as if they were seeing in full 360 degrees. The limitation to this, however, is that they are unable to see through objects. It simply grants them sight of areas that would normally be unable to be seen by the ordinary human eye. Full 360 degree sight.

Akame: The Akame is the second form of the Kurogan and was developed primarily by hunters in the clan when scavenging for food. It grants the user the ability to see in infrared, allowing them to see the heat signatures of living organisms, so long as they are warm-blooded. Their sight remains the same other than being able to red hues where there is a heat signature. Heat signatures coming from invisible beings, heat-based attacks, and anything that gives off heat can be seen using the Akame. This is particularly useful at night as even if they can see nothing with their ordinary eyes, they can see the heat signatures of living warm-blooded things with the Akame. The Akame requires fire as an element in order to use.

Aome: The Aome is the third form of the Kurogan and was developed by the sect of the clan residing within the Hidden Mist Village. It was particularly created for fighting in water as well as fighting in the mist. When this eye is active, it grants the user the ability to see through water and water-based materials as if they were completely clear, however, water still has a slight blue hue. This gives the user the ability to see underwater as if they were not underwater, except for the blue hue of the water. They can also use the Aome to see through thick mists and even solid ice. This form requires water as an element in order to use.

Midorime: The Midorime is the fourth and last form of the Kurogan and was developed by the sect of the clan residing near the Leaf Village. This form was created in order to combat the thick foliage and forestry which encompassed the area and hid targets and potential threats. The midorime grants the user the ability to see through inanimate objects and other things, seeing only living things which are comprised of human cells. In essence, the midorime sees everything translucently except for human cells, allowing them to see cleanly through trees, rocks, and other objects to spot human beings behind them.

- Requirements:
- Weaponry as a specialty.
- Sensory as a specialty.
- Be a member of the Yagyuu Clan.
- Other Information: The Yagyuu clan is a sword based clan which focuses entirely on sword-based jutsu and attacks. The most noticeable characteristic of members in this clan are their black robes, often wearing the hood over their head. The black robes are lined with silver and other precious metals with the clan crest on the back.
Clan Element: Water and Fire

Some problems :

1. 5 chakra is too low honestly. Maybe make it 15 chakra per eye, and 5 chakra for the plain effect?

2. Add Kenjutsu as a specialty.

3. One drawback pls
