Meeting the team {Mel; konoha only}

Post by NoActualName on Wed Aug 15, 2012 8:52 pm

Squad 0
Sensei: Nier, Kaine
Genin 1: Sunėkuaizu, Kiryuu
Genin 2:
Genin 3:

Despite the great sunny and warm weather that they were having today, to Kiryuu it would be another bad day; dreading to even go out, simply wanting to close his eyes, and open them as if it were a bad dream. It was as if history had been repeating itself time and time again, Kiryuu had yet again been sent to the training grounds in order to meet his new sensei and fellow genin team mates... for the twentieth time. It had happened so frequently in the exact same way, that he could see what would happen during this encounter of theirs, as if he was capable of gazing into the future. He imagined that things would happen like so, first he would meet the squad comprised of a jounin and another two different genin, then shortly after they'll start to slightly dislike Kiryuu, and ultimately kick him out of the squad after a month or so had passed. And the thing that angered him the most was... he could never tell why. He was incapable of thinking why they would find it uncomfortable for being around him, was it that they were threatened by his physical prowess, or was it because of his, what others has dubbed as "strange" demeanour?

Questions of the like plagued his fatigued mind as he headed towards the training grounds. It had been two days since he had last slept; thus far. As such he had trouble thinking straight, and even more so with keeping focus. Blinking back and forward from reality to unconsciousness as he continued to move his body forward to his destination. Slowly and steadily, he had ventured forward toward the training area that would be the meeting ground for the squad. This time, he had to make it work. His father, being the impatient man that he was, had been furious every time it happened, beating Kiryuu as punishment whilst he spouted how ashamed he was of him, laughing to himself of how comedic the idea of Kiryuu becoming the leader of the revolution against the Akatsuki was. He had to be able to stick with one squad, else he wouldn't ever receive any of his father's "love". And so, he had finally arrived at the training grounds. Though surprisingly there had been no one there, or at the least he hadn't been able to sense anyone being there. As such, he walked toward a tree and sat down in front of it whilst he grasp tightly the hilt of his sword, as he awaited for the others. With how warm it was, as well as the gentle wind that blew past every now and then, he had been unable to resist closing his eyes in order to soothe their pain.

The training grounds was perfect for Kaine's silent reading today. Having gone mostly everywhere else within Konoha, she hadn't found much peace in any of those places as even within the confines of her apartment she could hear a lot of noise bustling outside. So after a long search for that desired reading spot, which had taken her about a half an hour, she finally stumbled across one of the training grounds, which was surprisingly empty. On such a nice day she had expected sensei and students to be training their students, or at least she would expect some families or kids to use the area for some sort of friendly bonding. Regardless, Kaine was happy for the serene environment to enjoy her book.

She sat up in a tree, wanting to get the advantage of the high point so that the wind could kiss her skin making her relax. She read through the book, stopping a few time throughout it to take in the surroundings and think a bit. When she had finished the book she closed her eyes as she closed it, smiling all the while as it always brought her happiness whenever she had finished a new book, regardless or not if she had actually liked it or not. She kept her eyes close for about a minute as she let the wind stimulate her more, before she finally opened them. She was a little surprised when she spotted someone coming towards the tree though. She noted their features: he was a kid. Although his face was young, he was tall for certain, able to easily trump her in height.

She was surprised the place had stayed vacant for so long, so seeing the young boy didn't really depress her - besides she had already finished her book. He was a ninja so she could only guess that he was likely here to meet up with his sensei and team, since that was what the training grounds was mainly used for. He came closer, seemingly looking for someone, before he sat down at the foot of the tree's trunk, resting directly below the branch she was on. He didn't notice her, but not she would have minded if he did. She wasn't actually putting any effort into trying to conceal herself so she could only guess that he was about a genin if he couldn't detect her.

She rested her book down silently as she continued looking on to see what else he was doing. She could see his chest heaving abnormal from normal breathing: he was sleeping. She sighed as a smiled cross her lips and she decided to start a conversation. Despite her love for talking to people, she hated disrupting people when they seem preoccupied - in this case, his sleep would be what was occupying him. Still, she wanted to talk to him a lot for some reason. He seemed much different, somehow. Unsure on whether calling him from this point would be audible enough for him to hear her, Kaine fed some chakra to her feet as she began to walk down the tree. She went to stand directly before his sleeping form, smiling as her motherly instincts sort of kicked in seeing him sleep peacefully. "Hi there," she said keeping a audibility that she hope would allow him to hear her.

Kiryuu had been slowly starting to fall asleep as the time had passed without any disturbances, though he had refrained from easing his right hand's grip on the hilt of his sword; he had always refrained from falling asleep, out of fear of whatever nightmares he might experience. Though as most human beings, Kiryuu had been unable to resist the temptation of falling asleep after he hadn't for so long... gradually his grip had lessened until it had finally fallen off and resting upon the ground; and soon enough, he would be plunged into the one thing he fears most. And it would've happened if it weren't for that voice he had suddenly heard, bringing him back to the realm of reality. Upon hearing what he believed to be a woman, out of sheer surprise, he had instantly opened his eyes, which were wide from the sudden appearance of the person before him. And as an attempt of defending himself, he had wanted to spring his body from the ground and ready his blade, prepared for combat.

However, his body had been heavy from drowsiness and so instead of doing as he had intended, he had awkwardly raised his body. Which then he stumbled forward, almost crashing to the woman in front of him, though managed to catch his balance and stopped... then he had fallen backwards. Kiryuu had only managed to avoid being any more of a failure thanks to the tree from stopping him returning to his initial sitting position. Upon seeing that the woman before him hadn't acted hostile, he had assumed it had been a Konoha kunoichi and thus relaxed. Despite not hearing her greeting when he had been on the brink of falling asleep, he had greeted her back, as a means of somehow playing off his failure as if it had been planned all along. "Umm... yea, greetings. That was... euh... a display of... well... umm... a bug! Yea, a bug got unto my back. And... thus... I assassinated it. With style." And then he had attempted to laugh it off, though he hadn't been able to refrain from turning to face the tree, cursing quietly to himself over how idiotic he was currently being, as he face palmed his head out of shame. No way would anyone believe such a lie, and he had presumed that the woman would be the jounin assigned to be his sensei... believing that she wouldn't think well of him as a fellow shinobi. They didn't even properly meet with one another, and he's already looking pretty bad.

It seemed her words had caught the boy by surprise despite her attempt to make her voice come of so soft that it would be mistaken as something blowing in the wind. The blond boy rose from his seat so quickly she thought that he was some sort of person brought back to life like in some zombie movie she had seen. Since the moment she saw him with the sword she was wary of it as she knew that if she had surprise him he might have attacked her with it, but he didn't as he seemed more frightened than alerted.

He came to her face, his own body almost collapsing on hers and his face almost meeting hers, as she had feel his breath against her face, which had no doubt cause Kaine to take not more than a step back as she wasn't expecting the sudden movement. Most people when surprise would either react violently, or with a simple surprised expression - but never to this extent had she seen someone been so dramatic. He stopped his descend onto her almost instantly, as if something had reeled him back, and he fell right back into the sitting position he was.

All of his sudden actions left Kaine a little dumbfounded, something she wasn't accustom to expressing throughout her life as she always thought one step ahead, leaving no chance for surprises. He justified himself stuttering the entire defensive statement and Kaine still stared on dumbfounded. She then suddenly chuckle lightly as she, much like anyone else would have, had found the entire thing funny, despite how sudden.

"Everyone is afraid of bugs, so its okay I guess," she lied. It was quite obvious there was no bug even without the added expression on his face, and his actions. Still, seeing him react the way he did made her day seem more brightened than it already was since she liked people like him who tried to make a good impression of themselves in front of her. Although, making a good impression on her wouldn't make much of a difference either way since she liked most people regardless of status. Besides, she had long ago gotten rid of most of her fears, including bugs.

She had originally thought he was here to meet with his sensei or something but as she took a quick glance at the bags under his eyes which could mean it was probably from a lack of sleep, which donned on Kaine was why he was sleeping. "You seem tired. I hope I'm not disturbing you," she stated, furrowing a brow in fascination. "If I am I'll be glad to leave. A person deprived of sleep can sometimes undergo stress." She said the last word with a bit more stress as, not only did he seem sleepy, but for some reason, beyond her own knowledge of why, she could see some sort of worry.

As he had continued to reveal his back, facing away from the woman out of shame, he had kept up with his silent cursing to himself and generally regretting of how much of a dolt he might seem right at this very moment. And he had been unable to stop himself from cringing, almost immediately once he had heard that small chuckle of hers. At that current moment of time, Kiryuu would've normally just gently hit the tree with his forehead repeatedly. He had always found some sense of comfort whenever he would get punished for whatever he hadn't done right or the like, a trait he had undoubtedly gained from his relatively tyrannical father. Though he had avoided on committing the act that others would've commonly seen, after all, he hadn't wish to appear more odd than he's currently portrayed as. Especially with the likeliness of the woman before him being the new sensei he would have starting as of today. He didn't wish to disappoint his father any more with some, as his father often described as 'nonsense'. Though, Kiryuu didn't believe that he was beyond redemption as of yet, either one day she'll forget all about this pointless encounter of theirs, or redeem himself in some way.

And with the determination of clearing the misunderstanding of him being a pathetic excuse of a shinobi, he had turned around with a small smile to face the challenge between him and the woman. The first point of order would be to end the misunderstanding of his supposed fear of insect, shinobi have no need of fear; a quote of which his father would often tell him and have him act upon it. "It's not that I have a fear of insects... it just took me by surprise. With it being all... creepy crawlie-like. And stuff." As he explained (however poorly) between the stops of his sentences, he had made his hands flail around as he thought of what to say next. As if he was able to ease the explanation by a demonstration of the somewhat humorous act of moving his hands about. And then shortly afterwards she had voiced that she hoped that she was of no bother to Kiryuu; and a sense she was, but who could say such a thing to one's sensei and get away with it? Though what confused him was what she had said next, offering to leave if she had been bothering him. "Aren't... aren't you the jounin assigned to be my new sensei? We were supposed to meet here, on this precise day, of this very hour. And with only you being the only adult around her, I would think that you would be her." And then he had an idea for an explanation of this. "Unless you happen to be a hallucination... usually a symptom after having no sleep for around two days... and now I'm talking to you... me. Great, I've been talking to myself for the past five minutes. And why are you wearing that... what AM I making you wear. Am I a pervert on the subconscious level...? Hmm..."

She smiled at his obvious attempt justify his actions. All of it made her like him more since it reminded her that in spite of the 'rough and tough' people there were that she had happen to - or haven't as of yet - come across in her life, that there were people who were actually more humane and normal, so to speak. In spite of how she thought she had dismiss all forms of fear, there were more than a handful of people who she had come across that were so strong, without even trying to be, that they inspired so much fear into her she felt like she was suffocating. And, it wasn't easy since she had a trait of attracting strong, and especially dangerous, people. It had been a curse that haunted her her entire life. It wasn't like the boy wasn't strong though; she could feel that he was strong will, and with a strong will she always believed a person could become strong - in spite of how cliche it sounded. "It's okay," she replied calmly, still smiling. "Its not possible for no one to completely get rid of fear no matter how they try or what they say. I would probably react the same way if a bug crawled down my back."

Seems like she was right after all. He was actually here to meet up with his sensei. Although he didn't seem like he had yet to meet this sensei, which probably meant he was a new genin. She always had a fascination for seeing new shinobi. It reminded her of herself and always made her sort of want to monitor their progress, although she never would as it would make her come off as both a stalker and pedophile. She was about to reply to his first assumption, but suddenly he had come up with a new one that made her stare at him with a mix of surprise and fascination.

Once he finished speak she didn't reply for as much as a minute. When she finally regained her thoughts she began to giggle once more. She had trained herself in etiquette a long time so whenever she laughed it was usually held back so much that it was only kept to small snickers. But this time she actually laughed a bit more than usual at the hilarity. She still had her laugh muffled to a light giggle, but she actually felt like crying from laughter. She forced a stop on her laughter, particularly since she was hoping that her laughing didn't offend him more than it did when he was scared of the imaginary bug. "I'm not a hallucination, I promise." She poked her hand, hoping that it would at least convince him a bit. "If you want you can touch me yourself." She held out a hand as she smiled, so that he could grasp, hoping that he would play on.

After he had ended his theory as to the identity of the woman before him, he had started to pounder about the reasoning behind why he had been hallucinating about such an individual. Usually whenever he has one of his hallucinations, they typically tend to be auditory rather than visual, and on the rare occasion that it's visual, it's usually something small and rather unnoticeable such as a white mouse that doesn't truly exist. And now, it's a woman. One whom is dressed rather provocatively. That was the thing that puzzled him the most, why hallucinate one with such an attire? Kiryuu had always typically seen himself as an asexual being, bearing no true interest to either gender for any form of physical affection. But perhaps he had deluding himself into thinking like that, as there hadn't ever been anyone that he had set his eyes upon. Well, that and most women couldn't deal with his odd demeanour and the like. As he continued to silently gather his thoughts whilst having his left hand covering his mouth as he pondered, he had sooner or later realized that the woman before him had stopped talking herself. No wonder it had been so quiet.

His eyes have slightly widened as he continued to convince himself that she happened to be a hallucination. Believing that she had trouble talking as a hallucination as he plagued his mind with an abundance amount of questions. Then naturally... he proceeded in giving commands to convey to her in his mind. Jump on one leg! Twirl around, move that way and then go there. And instantly his face bloomed with excitement as he thought of an idea that he rather fancied. BREATHE FIRE! BE A DRAGON! Come on brain, don't do this to me. Seeing a dragon would be cool as hell. Though obviously, the woman before him hadn't suddenly transformed as a dragon or anything of the like, she had just continued to stand before him and think of whatever she had been; needless to say, he had been rather disappointed. And then shortly after a while she had yet again giggled. Which of course had Kiryuu confused as to what she had been laughing about. Either his theory of her being a hallucination that he conceived, which he still suspected of her being. Or regarding his idea of her becoming a dragon, believing it to be an awesome idea as well; which he hoped that it was that instead of the next plausible idea.

Which was the theory that she was laughing because she found it far more amusing to not transform into a dragon; jerk. "My subconscious might be a bastard..." He murmured to himself, somewhat believing that his subconscious was a jerk, instead of hoping for the previous idea that he had over as to why she had been laughing. And then attempted to assure him that she was no hallucination; which he mentally agreed to some extent, calling her a jerk of a hallucination instead. And then proceeded to attempt to show some proof, which was showing him that she was a solid entity. And then she had invited him to grasp her hand. And with a hint of hesitation, he had then moved his hand towards her, doing as she had invited him to do. "I'm pretty sure that I can make you, make me think, that you are a physical entity and thus just automatically stop my hand from going through you. Or my hand is gonna phase through and I'll be grabbing some sort of sleeping animal's tail. Probably a bear. Or you're gonna shock me. I don't know how, but somehow. My subconscious is a jerk like that. Well, you. Me. Us. I just realized... I'm still talking to myself." Which then he proceeded to look around, sighing in relief that there hadn't been anyone seeing him talk to himself like some sort of deranged individual.

Re: Meeting the team {Mel; konoha only}

Post by MelMel on Fri Aug 17, 2012 1:39 pm

Even though she wasn't in his head, and never would be, Kaine could easily tell, even without her amazing perception of human behavior, that there was a lot cycling through this blonde's head. She could of tell at first by the bags of lack of sleep under his eyes, since most people wouldn't really deprive themselves of sleep unless it was something stress related. But it was just a plain assumption at first. Now she was more certain. The way he talked to to himself, the thing he said. All of it way what most people would dub as crazy. Kaine hated titles though, and she furthermore liked people like him. People who were different from the average society. Although, she had no right to really judge society - she hated judging others, despite how much she couldn't stop herself because of her analytic nature. Either way, that matter was for another occasion.

She took in his words, occurring that he did make a good point. "You make a good point Mr Dreamer. The mind is a powerful thing. With that said, you shouldn't try to look around since I can just the same make you think no one else is here but us," she giggled lightly as she found it funny to play with him on his hold hallucination theory. Still, she grew some admiration in that moment for Mr. Dreamer - the name she now dubbed him for his hallucinative mind. Most people would have simply go with it, and believe that she was real with that alone, not even considering the possibilities, but he didn't. She was hoping he would believe her, but since he didn't she was sort of left in between a rock and hard place, so to speak. She put a hand to her chin in though as she looked around, basically hoping that the answer to her questions could be found somewhere out in the open.

Nothing.

It was one of those rare moments in her life when Kaine didn't know the solution to a problem that had manifest before. Well... actually, she knew several answers. The problem with those were that, as he had said: he could make her make him think that it would work. It was crazy, but it was a through enough fact. She sighed as she closed her eyes in somewhat of depression. She hated that he didn't believe her. Even though she knew it wasn't really his fault that he didn't, she still hated when people didn't trust her. She opened her eyes once more, donning a smile as she usually did, even when stressed or depressed. "Very well Mr. Dreamer. If I told you to do something for me, or if I try something to prove I'm real then I'd assume that you'd think that I did it as some sort of trickery. So, in this case, what do you suggest? I'll do anything to prove my existence. If you can't think of anything, then I guess we'll just have go on believing that I'm a hallucination and be imaginary friends." She paused. "Either that or I'll have to hit you to show you that the pain was real," she giggled some more, finding the Mr. Dreamer more and more funny by the passing second.

Re: Meeting the team {Mel; konoha only}

Post by NoActualName on Sat Aug 18, 2012 8:56 am

{Sorry for the delay, and the lack of effort put into the post. Was busy since yesterday with activities, and am rushing since I have something to do shortly enough. I'll try to make it up with the next post.}

With no sign of anyone else being around the location, he had returned his gaze back toward the woman before him; giving back his full attention to her. Which then afterwards she had replied with how he made a good point to his theory of forcing him to believe that she was some physical entity despite being one of his hallucinations. Kiryuu had then been rather surprised to hear of what she had said, he would've believed that she would insult him in some way or another, or at the least patronize him. But no, she had noted how solid his theory had been. Which either meant that she at the least wasn't that much of a jerk of a subconscious, unless she had been trying to trick him. It had appeared as if he had been named as a 'Mr Dreamer', which was fine with him for the most part. And now that she had mentioned it, wouldn't she know what his name was? Surely being part of his subconscious she would know what his name was. Then he wondered if she herself had a name, besides woman, brain, Kiryuu. Though he guessed it didn't really matter in the end. His theory of her being a hallucination seemed to dwindle down bit by bit as he had continued speaking to her, or at the least she had appeared less of a jerk than she had been initially and all the like.

Which then she had proceeded to close her eyes, whilst sighing, as if she had been rather frustrated with how events had been developing. Or frustrated with the thought of being unable to trick him. Then she told him that if he had no way of being convinced that she was no hallucination, that they would continue to be imaginary friends. At that moment, his faith of her being a hallucination had dwindled down quite a significant amount. As an avatar of his subconscious, she should naturally know that he had no need for friendship whatsoever; simply for he didn't believe in the concept of friendship with another individual. Theoretically, friendship is when two individuals have complete faith in one another, something that Kiryuu couldn't bring himself to do, as he didn't believe that anyone would do the same for him. Which relatively quickly after she had finished the sentence, she had then offered to punch him as some sort of proof of her existence. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. Which then he proceeded to nod about the legitimacy of the idea. "Woah... what a violent woman. Though it does seem like a viable way of determine your existence. Go for it. If I feel pain and there's some form of bruising, seems logical enough for you to exist." Which then he leaned forward to the woman, to shorten the gap between that fist or kick of hers and himself.

Re: Meeting the team {Mel; konoha only}

Post by MelMel on Sat Aug 18, 2012 11:47 pm

Surprisingly, the young blonde had taken her up on her offer. As he pushed himself closer to her a single sweat beaded her neck as a reference to how astonished she was. She wasn't accustom to people surprising her with their actions as she was well with understand human behavior. Yet for all, almost every single thing Mr. Dreamer had done since there meeting had caught her off guard quite a bit. Actually; off guard was the wrong word. More precisely he had intrigued her quite a bit with his bizarre actions and nature.

The thing that was more confusing was that he seemed like he actually wanted her to do it, as if somehow he enjoyed it. No one she knew would jump at the wimp of someone hitting them so easily, especially when the person doing such was a stranger. And by stranger, she meant a literal stranger since, unlike him, she didn't wear a headband, which would make anyone wary of if she was actually a ninja. They would have at least try something else beforehand. Maybe him believing she was still a illusion had a a lot to do with it. He probably thought that her attack would probably just phase right through him like a actual illusion would. He was probably basing his theory of the pain working on how pain also dispelled genjutsu.

Of course though, her offer to hit him to dispel his, so call, hallucination had been a simple joke by her, which was what mainly made her surprise. She hated hurting people, no matter how little; she thought that was at least the aura she always gave off. Nevertheless, she could only sigh once she had recovered from his sudden insistence. Sure enough he knew that, going by his earlier theory: he could be making himself think she was hitting him. Still, she had said she'd try anything, and if it had a probability of convincing him she would try it to see if he'd believe her in the end result. But first she would at least try to convince him otherwise. "Are you sure about this. As you earlier stated: you could be making yourself think that I am hitting and wounding you. If a hallucination is strong enough then sometimes miniscule pain isn't strong enough to break the brain's focus on the hallucinatory action or event, which in turn would leave no existence of pain or injury unless its a lot of pain to override the other senses. That is to say"- she paused as she formed a hand seal and lava seeped from her mouth into her hands, then she began playing with the sticky substance -"if I am going to hit you then I am going to have to hit you as hard as I can to ensure the hallucinations is dispersed if it is strong."

She furrowed a brow, making sure to keep a straight face so he wouldn't know that she was giggling on the inside as she found a little excitement and humor from the entire situation. She was curious if he was still willing to go on with it by now. By the way he started acting she tell his belief that she was a hallucination was dwindling. In turn, if he was taking about a fifty-fifty chance with his life. With that said, if he actually did accept have to go down in her book as one of the bravest persons she had ever come across, as well as one of the most unorthodox.

As he had leaned toward the woman before him, he had of course naturally awaited for the sudden punch, or kick, or whatever method of harming another individual. He had of course naturally braced himself for when the blow would make contact with his body, he hadn't exactly been keen on the idea of being sent flying toward some tree. Especially if the tree itself had some sort of sharp branch sticking out of where he would be slammed against it, thus ending his life as he had some spike equivalent of a twig puncturing through his chest; ideally through the heart so he wouldn't need to suffer for so long. But despite his ever so vibrant imagination of how events would occur, he had found himself surprised that nothing had happened as of yet. Even though he had believed that as soon as he opened his eyes that he would be hit, he had found himself doing it anyway; purely because he couldn't keep himself from indulging himself due to his curiosity. Which then he saw that she was rather baffled with how things were going between the both of them, which caused his theory on her being a hallucination more or less disappear.

He had always been a sociopath, as the avatar of his subconscious, there shouldn't have been any sense of hesitation. He should have gotten punched, practically as soon as he gave her his okay over the matter. Which then she had proceeded into talking him out of the idea, and being part of his subconscious... she should have known that he wasn't ever one to take back what he had previously said. Loyalty is a rather important aspect to him, and thus promises or the like were always meant to be carried out, despite whatever the cost for them being completed may be. Which then some sort of hot looking liquid had fallen unto her hands, which caused him to be surprised. Not truly because of the liquid itself, but rather the coincidence between his wanting of her transforming into a dragon and breathing fire. Which caused him to smile as he found it rather amusing, probably an odd thing to do so whenever presented with some deadly liquid. "While I did say that you can go right ahead and punch me... I hadn't exactly told you to punch me with some fiery substance. I rather like my face the way it is, you know... full of flesh. Not burning holes. So, you can go right ahead. I would just rather you didn't melt my face. Then again, it is a rather interesting idea. What's interesting is the idea of what I would see as the eyes melt, would everything go dark? Red, orange, yellow, white? Or would I see the world slowly distort, with some tint of color? Also wondering if I could move my body as the head itself melts away... well I don't think you'd get into much trouble if you did kill me. You know, with all the damn tyrants running the place. So, yea. Go for it." His curiosity had always been rather odd, enough to the point to which it made him appear as if he were truly a fearless individual. Though it's the sociopathic and apathetic attitude of his that truly sends chills down the spines of others. His tyrant comment had of course been a reference to the Akatsuki that were occupying the entire village. Obviously a by product of his father's hate for the loss of his political power as the ex-damyo.

Re: Meeting the team {Mel; konoha only}

Hearing the young boy talk Kaine felt baffled, and in all honesty, she was a bit 'weirded out' as well by the things he said all of a sudden. She usually wasn't weirded out like this, so it was a bit of a new feeling for her. She knew fear, she knew anger, and she had her moments of happiness thanks to the few people she had met throughout her life that made her truly happy. But being confused and baffled at once - or in other words, 'weirded out' - was something she wasn't accustom to. For most of her life she was usually the one people thought of as weird. All this talk of his eyes melting and all that. While they were all interesting questions, they were sudden. She was use to fascinate about these things, but what really made her weirded out was that she had never met someone who found these kind of conversations fascinating, and as such people would dub her 'weird' for it.

Gathering her thoughts, Kaine snickered into her hands. She really liked this Mr. Dreamer. he reminded her a lot about herself. Always questioning his own sanity, always indulging in the most bizarre of things that would distinct him from society just a bit. Not specifically good or bad, but instead simply just neutral and living in the moment and doing good or bad when in a certain situation. All of this made her pleased. "I think you would be too focused on the pain at hand that you wouldn't even think about what you see, or you'd probably be dead before you know it as the lava melt away your heart in a matter of seconds. But if your so interested to find out, then maybe I'll start with your head and burn it slowly enough that you'd be able to register it." She smiled him compassionately despite how grotesque her statement had sounded.

Hearing him speak of the Akatsuki as tyrants did sort of strike her a bit. She would definitely dub the Akatsuki as such if she had to describe them in some words, but it reminded her that she was in a organization she didn't really want to be, yet for all she wanted to be there for some reason. It sounded confusing, but that was because it was, since even she didn't know why she was in the Akatsuki. She had joined them sort of on a whim as a act of desperation, and although she could leave anytime since she had the skills to make a escape good enough that they'd never find her, she still didn't want to since they said they were striving for peace. The only reason she had concluded for her staying was that because of her troubled pass of killing as much people as she did, that she'd be punishing, as well as comforting herself by being among people like herself. Wanting to delay hitting him for a bit, she inquired with a furrowed brow, "Before I go on, do you hate the Akatsuki for controlling the village? They aren't exactly tyrants you know." She wasn't intending to reveal her identity as a Akatsuki, since she wanted to avoid people judging her based on her affiliation, so she'd definitely keep that a secret.

Despite allowing himself to act naturally, the woman hadn't seemed to be all that bothered about all of which he had previously said. And even more oddly enough, she had let out slight forms of laughter between their exchange of words; as if she had found their time spent together as amusing, rather than creepy, disturbed or the like. Which by itself had caused himself to be puzzled, over the fact that things were going as smooth as they were. Normally a person would show their discomfort, a sign that Kiryuu had went too far and thus would then proceed to remain silent during the remainder of their time together, unless of course he had been spoken to. It had been far easier living such a way, and thus became rather natural to him; though not her. She was different. Odd. Shortly after she had finished her snickering, she had proceeded to point out the flaw in his idea of what he would see as he had his head being melted. Which, being the odd individual that he was, he had of course naturally showed a rather disappointed face. As if he were looking forward to finding out, rather than afraid of the idea.

Though she had offered to do it slowly so that he had his chance of satisfying his curiosity, as long as he was still interested in it. Which for a little while, he had ACTUALLY considered the idea. Obviously pondering over the thought, rather than being a normal person and just say no. Though of course, he had his father in mind. Couldn't really risk dying for such 'idiotic' reasons, until he had finally achieved his father's dream. And so then he proceeded to reveal his somewhat rare smile, nodding from one side to the other, telling her that he'll take a rain check. And then before he had a chance of having his turn during their exchange with one another, she had questioned whether he hated the Akatsuki or not, even saying that they weren't all that bad as they are typically seen. It was a sure fact that she was no hallucination, she should have known that whilst his anger and hate against the Akatsuki isn't on the same level as his father, it had been rather high nonetheless, from all the years of being exposed to his father. And the last part of what she had said had bothered him even more than his realization that she wasn't a hallucination.

Defending the Akatasuki as if she knew them, meaning that she was either close to them or had some sort of connection. Like, being part of the Akatsuki. Though he had deposed of the idea, imagining that they would know of his status as the only son of the old damyo. Or perhaps they have never bothered to check on his father, thinking that he wasn't much of a threat or that he had welcomed them intruding into their land. As his father's dreams were placed unto Kiryuu, he had to assure that he threaded carefully whenever he was in the presence of an Akatsuki member. Even more so of whomever he suspects to hold affiliations with their lot. And thus, he had been forced to answer her question in a rather positive manner, rather then doing so without any consideration. "I do not bear any animosity for the Akatsuki, I stand more on neutral ground between hate and love for their lot. And on another note... I'll believe that you aren't a hallucination, seeing all the subtle evidence presented, I can more or less tell that you aren't just another figment of my imagination. Thus there would be no need for striking me in order to verify. I apologize for all of the inconvenience during the time that we have spent together. You may punish me as you see fit for how unprofessional I was as a shinobi. Though before all of that, as I had asked you before, are you not the one whom is assigned to be the next sensei for me? They should be running low on jounins that haven't been assigned to me as of yet. And seeing as you are a new face... you would logically be the one for me." Kiryuu had shifted his way of speech tremendously, appearing much more emotionally withdrawn compared to when they were dancing with the idea of her being a hallucination. Her status had shifted from hallucination to adult... that may possibly hold affiliations with the Akatsuki. He hadn't been fond of either adult, nor of Akatsuki. And thus why he had seemed a much more mature person, simply keeping composed rather then being eccentric.

He had seemed seemingly fazed by her question of his thoughts on the Akatsuki. She should have expected as much though. She didn't know the boy more than she did now, but being a member of the Leaf village it was expected for him to hate the Akatsuki, much like a majority of the Leaf's other citizens. She knew asking him such a question would be risking her cover, but it was not like she kept her cover for the sake of business, so it was no problem for her. She simply did it because she wanted to, such as that people would judge her for her and not for her affiliations. Still, if ever he was to put two and two together, or if she was to simply tell him if he asked, she was eager to know how he would react to the news. Would he react violently, would he be frightened? Asking what his reaction would be sort of made her excited. Although, from what she had grasp of his mentality and persona so far, she could take a hunch on what his reaction would be.

His answer was somewhat what she had anticipated: neutral feelings. She had long ago gotten a good grasp on what kind of person Mr. Dreamer was, and although that would have usually make anticipating his actions and talking to him easier; it instead made it quite harder since he was remarkably a lot like her. And the obvious problem with that was that she could understand other people far more than she understand her own self. She still considered his answer though since she wasn't sure if he really being honest. Not honest with his answer, but more so, honest with himself. Since she had met him the first thing she noted was that he had conflicted emotions, and every second with him seemed like he was thinking more and more and thus his emotions was becoming more confusing, more conflicted, more uncertain.

Feeling the need to leave the discussion of the Akatsuki where it was, both for the sake of making the conversation more light like it earlier was, as well as not blow her cover, she decided to leave his answer at that. If he was willing to pry into it then she had no problem, but talking about the Akatsuki was always something she hated as it always made her head hurt with thought. She smiled on the inside of the vanishment of his earlier assumption of her being a hallucination, since it really made her feel untrusted. Although, externally she had gave a soft pout as she replied, first with a depressed awe sound, "I really wanted you to tell me what you would see when your being melted." She removed her smirk and chuckled lightly, smiling once more.

His approach to her had seemed to change as he finished speaking, and Kaine could tell by the way he spoke now. He spoke more serious. She wasn't completely sure why, but she would assume that he didn't feel as comfortable talking to her anymore. Since the change came about after he dismissed the idea of her being Akatsuki, then she'd assume that the change was because he now didn't think of her as a figment of his imagination. Talking to your inner self was always much easier than talking to others: that was for certain a universal fact. Sadly, Kaine was a contradict to that universal fact since she had a better time talking to others than herself. Talking to herself she always thought too much, and thus headache would ensue.

Following her belief of being truthful, unless a lie was absolutely needed, Kaine decided to reply truthfully to his question. "No, I'm not your jounin teacher. At least I don't think so." She looked around as she decided to try finding this jounin teacher he spoke of. there was still nobody there but the two. It took a few seconds for Kaine to notice the specific wording in Mr. Dreamer's words. Did he say that they were running low on jounins to teach him? She stared at him, her mind pondering the reason the entire time. Gathering her thoughts, she concluded on a sudden idea, and smiled as she spoke to him, "But if its okay with you, I'll be happy to teach you." She chuckled lightly as she rerun some more specific wording in his statement. "You also did mention that I'm the one for you as if it was some sort of fate."

Kiryuu had of course had tremendous difficulty in getting pass how he had acted previously, and thus in order to find a sense of comfort with how he was ashamed, he had closed off his eyes. He had always found himself being comforted by absolute nothing. Surrounded by darkness, and nothing but silence. And thus he had always wished that he could permanently stay in such a world, never having to deal with his anxiety of others, nor ever being forced to act differently... never needing to be controlled. It was relatively ironic how he found himself comforted by the chains of oblivion, though hated to be bounded by society. Though despite of how peaceful this sort of world was to him, it often brought out monstrous beings and the like if he ever stayed too long; monsters given birth primarily by his anxiety. Which is the reason of why he refrains from ever falling asleep, since he would inevitably encounter them during his supposed time of 'rest'. And as such, he had opened his eyes whenever he had formed some sort of plan on how to deal with the woman before him. Which she then said of how she would love to hear what he sees as he melted away, he had forced a smirk as he wondered whether she was sadistic, or being all friendly-like with his previous persona.

Then she had replied that she didn't believe that she was assigned to be his jounin, which relatively pissed him off as he gave off a tsking noise. He had made himself appear as he had previously, got himself ashamed of how he had acted, and for what? To someone that wouldn't even become his jounin? Though, he sighed as he thought it over. If that was the case, then he didn't blow up first impressions with the new jounin to be assigned to himself just yet. Shortly after she had said that she would gladly teach him, though he didn't think much of it. No blade by her side, nor any evidence of her being capable to teach him anything he doesn't know about the arts of genjutsu. Not that he would accept her as a sensei anyway, its better if things were official with their new leader. He had always refrained from calling her the Hokage, believing it was a title reserved only to those whom have been born and raised in the land of fire, rather than one whom had defected from their village and committed countless amount of crimes. Though before he could answer anything, she had then noted of the last thing which he had said. He sighed as if he had been rather frustrated, he hadn't exactly meant it in that way. She and he would only be temporary anyway, coincidence only. Never to develop any form of relationship further than it had already escalated; lest that was the plan anyway.

"It matters not whether I mind or not if you should be the one teaching me, my opinions are worthless and void by the commands of the Hokage. As such why ask me? Take it up with the Hokage in that case, I bet she would be surprised to find one whom wants to become my jounin. Twenty-two have been assigned to me thus far, and many more will eventually raise the count." He paused allowing himself to gather his thoughts, as well as let the woman before him have her chance of either responding or absorb what he was saying to her. Which then he proceeded to talk once more."Haven't you ever heard of the name of Kiryuu? I believe my name has gotten relatively popular between the jounins. Oh, before I forget. You shouldn't think much of 'the one for me' comment, I meant it merely as that you were much more likely to be my jounin, with the coincidence of me and you being here at the same time, as well as me never having seen your face. Were you hoping for something more than that, perhaps something as idiotic as love? Though most likely not, as a shinobi you should know of what a pointless thing it is." Kiryuu simply chuckled over how idiotic the idea had been, and then he looked somewhat forward to see how her reaction would be. Emotionally damaged, thus somewhat agreeing with him? Or some idiotic woman that believes in such a concept? Perhaps something entirely different? He gazed at her, revealing his red eyes as if they were glaring at her.

Re: Meeting the team {Mel; konoha only}

Post by MelMel on Wed Aug 22, 2012 4:41 am

He closed his eyes. He sat there for several seconds with his eyes close, likely he was pondering about her statement of wanting to met him. She didn't disrupt him as she would give him some time to calculate the situation; although she didn't see much to calculate. Sometime along his silent pondering she had begin to wonder if she had said something that made him that way, and so she began to rerun her words. There were a lot of things that could have made him analyze the situation as he was now. She was always able to make people think even when she was simply making small talk, which was the main reason people dubbed her different, and for most: strange. He smirked suddenly, and it made her wary, but she brushed it off as he had been acting so strange throughout there entire conversation that none of his antics really caught her off guard anymore. On another note, him being a lot like her also helped.

He sighed. A sigh that obviously was filled with his mind pondering too much about the entire situation at hand. It sort of annoyed her that he was thinking so much about things. She hated when people wouldn't just approach her, it was much easier dealing with those kind of people. Dealing with someone so much like herself, who was always analyzing, theorizing and wondering, was something she couldn't deal with as she didn't even know how to deal with herself. Every single time he would go into his own self thought she would go into a daze as she always enjoyed watching people think. It sort of her way of looking into the person's soul and try and find out whatever she could about them, and there thoughts, all by using what she could from there aura and even posture.

His second sigh was really want made her sort of disappointed. Was he really agitated that she would make a joke of her stating the two were fated to meet here. She didn't dislike him for it, but she could feel her heart break a little bit. She had a past of fortune. Not the type of bad fortune where a bridge might suddenly fall if she walked on it or something might explode if she touched it. In fact it was barely even bad luck. It was just that she had a bad reputation that made so many people want to kill her that those around her would get her by those who want her head. But, still, having someone deny her even before she could lead them to their death was sort of hurtful. Not that she wanted to lead them to their death though.

Listening to Mr. Dreamer, a cycle of thoughts swarmed her head as she realized that what she had heard about him having switched teachers being true. She was just going on a assumption here, but it was quite ironic that he shared the same fate as her. People had always wanted to get away from her. And although she wasn't sure if he had different teacher's because of the same reason as her, she sort of felt that it was more likely that than anything else. He was too much like her so far for it not to be that. Surely though that she could get the Hokage, Yuzuki, to assign her to the young man's aid since she was Akatsuki. And, without a second thought, she had actually concluded that she probably would. Still, she would leave that up to him. He seemed like he was simply just going with the flow by taking whoever jounin he was assigned; something Kaine had done quite a bit throughout her life since she believed in fate over all else. But, even so, she didn't want him to just accept her as his sensei because he had no other options on the table. If she was to do that then she would simply be putting him at risk, given her luck. No, she wanted him to accept her, at least that way he had a bit of knowledge of what he was getting into rather than her leading him to his death blindly.

Kiryuu. She wasn't a member of the village, and despite living in the village, she chose to stay out of the village's personal data as much as possible. She loved gaining new knowledge, that much was true. But even though she could easily gain all the data of Konoha, she didn't feel too please infiltrating Konoha's data as she knew the villager's didn't like it either. This went so far as that she didn't even bother attending anything held by the village since she simply felt too out of place. Most of the didn't know she was Akatsuki, but she knew, and she didn't feel good knowing that she somewhere she wasn't wanted. Just the same, she didn't inquire any detail from Ms. Leader as it was no different. So, no. She didn't know a thing about this Kiryuu other than he was a genin.

Hearing him mention love, Kaine eyes sort of shot open as he caught her a bit by surprise. Never did she think there fate meeting as something of love. Fate to her controlled everything; whether it be a meeting of love, friendship, battle, etc. Thinking of that, it was then that she had notice two things she had that he seemed to have but didn't put enough trust in: fate and faith. He seemed like he believed things were going to happen, but he didn't seem like he believed it would happen for a reason. He didn't seem to believe that everything happened for a reason. The likely reason was a bad past.

Kaine sighed and closed her, particularly since she was now a bit overwhelmed with thoughts from all that was said. "First off," she started and opened her eyes to stare at him, not fazing to his red eyed gaze, with a bright smile. "If you believe love is hopeless then why are you living. If your living then you obviously have something you love otherwise you would have killed yourself by now. Or at least you would have let me do it by melting you to pieces-" she looked at him with a frightening smile "-But, the point is that even though you won't admit it you obviously love yourself. No one said that there couldn't be one sided love. You can love yourself and I'll love you... as a companion. So, yes, I take the one for you thing as not just a mistext, but instead it came out as it should have. Everything happens for a reason, even mistakes."

Sighing once more as she finished her first point, she looked around the area. "Secondly," she started. "Never think that what you have to say aren't important. As long as a person can hear and understand you it will never be voided because it will always be place in a part of their mind where they can retrieve it and consider it. On that note, I might just take it up with the Hokage just so that the number doesn't raise anymore. Of course thought, if I do make you my student then if you try to run then I'll have to melt you."
