The Missing Moon: Meeting between two

Post by MoonZero Soul on Sun Dec 18, 2011 2:25 am

Moon light, the natural glow of the world that was created for man by the gods, the sun of the night shined it's bright white luminescent luster onto the ground below, and onto it's self proclaimed messenger, his cloak billowing behind him, it;s white strap blowing in the unseen wind, his lampshade hat was off of his head next to him, his light brown coffee color skin shone in the light without blemish and his white and blue hair seem to have more of a supernatural glow to it. His cyan color irises over looked the valley of end, sitting on the head of Madara Uchiha with his left leg resting on his bent left knee and his right leg, he looked like a black statue, Menkai listened as the wolves sung their song of warning and love to each other. He seemed at peace in the valley of end, alone, with the wolves howling and no one here to see him, truly at peace. "I wish could have these moments more often." Menkai looked at the moons full face reminding him of his mother, a women that constantly watched and protected her child. Now she was dancing in the stars with menkai fathers and he hoped that they would visit him, "Oh how I miss you both and how I wish we could return to the days when we would all fall asleep under the moons glow." A single tear slid down his face as he remember their faces.

Kiyomi travelled swiftly through the dense forest. Her only light source was the moon, and half the time it was blocked by the thick foliage of the many trees. It didn't bother her, though. It was a welcome thing to be in the cover of darkness again. As she continued quickly through the trees, she could hear the rushing water all the more clearly. She had long ago heard the sounds of a waterfall and known she was headed in the right direction, but now she was within a few hundred metres of it. She was approaching her destination: The Land of Fire.

Kiyomi heard the howl of wolves in the distance, but that didn't phase her. She was calmed by the sound. As she approached the clearing, she froze at the edge. She hadn't expected to see anyone there, but by the looks of it, there was a man sitting atop the statue of Madara Uchiha. She stayed completely still, a feat easily accomplished by the likes of her. He seemed to be watching the moon, but his back was to her. She couldn't make out his face, meaning she couldn't identify him. Kiyomi contemplated attempting to take him out, but she wasn't the type to rush into doing such a thing. She instead called out to the man, attempting to avoid a violent confrontation.

"Sir, what business do you have here? Are you a shinobi meant to guard this valley?" she asked of him, not sure of what his answer would be. The last time she had been here, there hadn't been any guards, but it had been awhile. She took a few steps out into the moonlight, but stopped once he could see her. She didn't want him to think she was a threat, but if he attacked her, she wouldn't hesitate to kill him. The young eighteen-year-old kunoichi waited with a neutral expression on her face, her red eyes watching the man's every move.

Menkai was absorbed in his force solitude when he noticed the voice of a young women asking him about his business here and was he a guard of the valley, Menkai turned his head, his white and blue waist length hair swayed as he fixed his cyan wofl irises onto the beautiful young women, she seem to have a silent power and confidence about her that dared anyone to get in the way of her mission, Menkai put his head down and just shook his head slightly grinning and turned his head up , his grin replaced with a neutral face. "As of right now I'm a simple man here to bask in light of the beautiful moon and her pearl luster, and as if to guard this valley they have someone else to that, I'm here on a search for something inside of myself and I thought the moon could help me find it." Looking back over the Valley he spoke without looking at her. "So beautiful lady, if you don't mind me asking what business do you have here and if your one of the shinobi meant to guard this valley I apologize of my statement insulted you." This young women interested him and he couldn't talk like he wasn't young himself being that he was twenty one.

When the man turned towards her, her red eyes glinted in the moonlight when she saw the colour of his eyes. They were a bright cyan blue, and they stood out, even in the darkness. He ducked his head down for a moment before he met her look again. Her expression stayed stoic and emotionless. He didn't seem harmful to her, but she never trusted people upon first looks. She was glad to hear he was not the guard of the valley, though. It meant she wouldn't be forced to fight him. He looked away and she couldn't help but notice how peaceful he both sounded and looked. Her head tilted slightly to the left as she observed him.

"I am not a guard, nor am I insulted," she told him. Her voice was monotonous and unfeeling. She began walking forward as she continued speaking. She took relatively small steps to show him she wasn't going to attack him unless he attacked her first. "I am here only to pass to the other side," she told him, walking until she was within a few feet of the statue. She was looking up at him now since he still sat upon the head of the statue.

A thought suddenly crossed her mind. She couldn't possibly pass up the opportunity of gaining more information from this man, if at all possible. This time, her voice betrayed a slight bit of curiosity. "May I ask what village you're from?"

He seem to feel a sense of inner peace of serenity out here in the valley of end despite the fact that his solitude was interrupted by the beautiful women that was now in front of him, her red eyes seem to burn with a unfriendly passion, but there was a subtle hint of innocence inside but only a subtle hint. Her face was as emotionless as her body language, her footsteps where soft and light and if she had any plans of attacking him, she would have by know. She might seem like a nice but Menkai wasn't willing to trust this girl and unless he knew her name he would never trust her. "So your not a guard, I'm pretty sure you weren't because they wouldn't let a pretty girl like yourself be the guard and not saying that you couldn't handle anything coming your way, since I'll give you my village how about you give me the courtesy of learning your name. "Lifting his black clothed headband from underneath his shirt held it up with the plate showing and replaced it in side of his shirt. This girl was not ordinary it didn't take a genius to see that but there was something different about her. Obviously she was a ninja but she had no headband from where he could see and she walked like she had a purpose. Menkai turned his head so he was facing her better.

Re: The Missing Moon: Meeting between two

"I go by the name of Shibata. Kiyomi Shibata." He was from one of the Five Great Villages, as she had suspected. Even better, he was from Otogakure, the village she needed to visit first. Perhaps she wouldn't need to go to the Land of Fire after all. Otogakure was the only hidden village she had no idea how to get to, and perhaps he'd be willing to lead her to their kage. It was a far-fetched idea, she knew this, but it was all she had to go on. She would beg him if she was forced to. At the thought of begging a complete stranger for anything, Kiyomi's facial expression cringed slightly. She took a deep breath, an expression of determination now featured. "I know this seems a bit strange, but would there be any way you'd be willing to lead me to your village? Please?" she asked, bowing at the waist to show her respect towards him. "I'll do anything to show you I mean your village no harm, but I wish to instead make a request of your Kage," she said, her head still down and her eyes closed as she awaited his answer. She could only hope, although she knew he'd say no. If he did say no, she could always resort to tracking him, although that wasn't her best skill...

Kiyomi would take a chance and start to lift her head again to see him (paranoia would have been setting in at not being able to see the guy's movements).

Menkai looked up at the girl a single emotion passing across her face as she thought about something, Picking up a small white petal'd flower he sniffed it and twirled it his finger, "Kiyomi Shibata, that is a beautifully name." The moonsong flower blew in the wind and turned towards her, and stood up "Seeing as you have given me your name I am willing to trust you somewhat." Bowing lower than her in he looked into her face, from this view he could tell that her face was without blemish and her eyes were striking, he met her eyes with his own cyan color wolf iris'd eyes. "I don't know why but if you truly do something to my leader, I will suggest you wish for the death he will bring to you be quick." Menkai stood up straight and returned the lampshade hat to his head, his eyes taking in the sight of valley one last time, letting the moonsong go after one last sniff, he turned around his cloak billowing in the wind, "You coming Kiyomi, or should I leave you behind." Menkai smiled with a slight smile and jumped into the forest, going slow till she caught up.

Kiyomi's head raised just as he he was bowing his own head, and their eyes inevitably met again. Kiyomi couldn't help the small upturn of her lips at his answer. The smirk formed as quickly as it vanished, but her eyes were dancing with a burning fire now that she had gotten an answer. Her luck couldn't possibly get any better... She tried not to think about it, the forces of karma swirling around just waiting for a chance to go askew. Kiyomi straightened up as the man adjusted his lampshade hat. The man mocked her as he asked if she was coming or not, and she wrinkled her nose a bit in distaste. But she could detect the humorous intent in his words as he jumped towards the forest. She wasn't far behind and caught up within a few moments. "Well, now that we seem to be on a first-name basis, what should I call you?" she asked as they rushed through the forest, Kiyomi following his lead. Her black trench coat and bag blended in well with the darker parts of the forest.

Menkai jumped form branch to branch her speed a testament to her abilities as a ninja, and her poweress, His eyes scanned the darkness as they continued on toward the village hidden in the sound, with this girl close by he knew that he was going to be in deep trouble if she caused a slight bit of trouble, the otokage would have his head and probably the rest of him. Menkai continued on pressing throughout the forest, jumping from branch to branch, landing on the last tree that overlooked the forest, He looked down at the village. Turning to face her, he looked into her eyes once again, "You have any evil intentions then I will let you leave now, but you go into my village and cause problems I will destroy you."

Kiyomi decided not to press him for information. If he didn't want to share his name, so be it. It was already enough that he was leading her directly to Otogakure. She contemplated how to go about with meeting the Kage of the village. Well, there would probably be guards at the main entrance to the village, so she may have to explain what she was doing there. Then again, she may not. Better to be safe and prepared, though. She would just tell them she needed to see their Kage, and perhaps they might even point her in the right direction. As they progressed, there seemed to be a strange change in the ground, and Kiyomi realized there seemed to be a light fog. The fog got thicker as they progressed. Kiyomi glanced at her guide. He didn't seem to keen on entering the village with her. He's probably already taken enough of a risk just bringing me here. A wave of gratitude towards the unnamed shinobi spread through her. She looked towards his face, but it didn't betray anything about him. He seemed to be thinking about other matters.

When he suddenly stopped, she stopped as well, now standing on the tree behind his. She looked around to see if they had reached their destination. There it is! she thought. The fog covering the lands was not completely blocking the hidden village from Kiyomi's view, now that she knew where to look. Her eyes turned to her guide to find that he was looking at her now. The wolf-likeness of his eyes were very noticeable against the moonlight.

"..."

Kiyomi nodded solemnly. She took a small leap and landed on the branch of his tree, standing a few feet to the left of him. She glanced out at the man's village once again, then turned to him. "I give you my word that I have no evil intentions against your village. I'll gladly accept death if I go back on that." She bowed low again and when she rose again, she had a smile on her face. "Thank you," she said, her smile slowly going away to a neutral expression again. "I suppose I'll take my leave now," she said, readjusting the shoulder straps of the bag on her back.

Menkai turned back and looked around the village, a simple thought passed through his head, ("What if I had just done, I look at her face and I am at such a clutz. I forgot what my training is and let my guard down if anything she could kill me with a simple slash.") Standing to his feet, he looked down at the house of different people, there was a family eating together and laughing. He thought back to the nights when he to would be eating with his family, his dad telling corny jokes and his mother laughing at them despite how bad they were. What if the very woman he was now so in enthralled with was going to destroy his village or led to its destruction and lead another child to the same fate as himself. Because he still didn't trust this girl he need to not provide her with his real name. How does he know if she gave him hers so why give his. "When we get into the village, I will personally escort you, And by the way my name is Matsukai Tengumari." Jumping from the tree branch onto the waiting path that led to the village, he began to walk waiting for her to come.

Kiyomi was surprised when he said he'd escort her there, but then again, she'd never before worked or even talked much to the shinobi of the five villages. She stayed quiet, all of a sudden aware of her naivety. Her master had kept her in the dark about many things. His whole existence had basically been a complete secret, and she had never insisted that he tell her things. Kiyomi quietly followed Matsukai's line of vision and seen the family. She and her sensei had never really done things like that. Things like having dinner together and stuff. She realized how socially deprived she was on most occasions. That must be why I even talked to him. normal shinobi probably don't engage in conversation like that. she thought darkly to herself, her eyes narrowing slightly as she looked at the ground. She sighed when he jumped down off the tree, but followed quickly so as not to appear suspicious. She followed a few steps behind him, walking silently now. She just wanted to get this over with now. She was getting a bit nervous.

This was the first time he had a normal conversation in a longtime but this was the first time he has ever been at peace in a longtime. Walking with a slightly lengthen stride, his eyes look at the squad of guards that was at the entrance, he had grown up with him and knew him. His eyes met each and everyone of them. He knew that his eyes instilled fear but he softened them to make him seem less cruel than normal. His hat hid ended right above his forehead so that only his eyes were seen and his large black cloak billowed behind him like it was being held by a unseen wind, but Menkai was only a messenger and the moon was his witness. The closer he got the more the Guards started to relax and when he got nearer the highest rank of the guards stepped forward and shook Menkai hand. "Jiro, That woman wants to speak with the kage, I will watch her at all times and if anything is to happen I will take the responsibility." Jiro looked behind Menkai as the girl got closer, "Menkai the kage isn't happy and he is thoroughly pissed.Menkai shook his head, "I know old friend, hope that he isn't so piss that he kills her, she is too prettyto die." Jiro just shook his head, "Where is this all coming from, you meet her at night and already you head over heels." Menkai smiled and turn to the moon, "Naw, mother moon said she was alright." Jiro just shook his head "You and that damn moon, it's going to be the death of you one day." Menkai just laugh, "What a peaceful death that would be." Continuing on, he turned to face her walking backwards, "Come on Kiyomi it's alright, stay close.

Kiyomi watched with very observant eyes as they got closer towards the gate. She was only a few steps behind him while he was talking to one of the guards by the gate. As he did, Kiyomi glanced at the others who stood nearby. They looked at her with obvious curiosity, but there was also obvious distaste in their eyes. They didn't trust her being in their village, which Kiyomi thought was understandable. As far as she knew, she wasn't from this village, nor any village for that matter. Masaomi had never told her much. Kiyomi glanced at all the faces of the guards, meeting each of their eyes to find that they were all the same. She shifted her gaze towards Matsukai instead, and she saw that he had now turned to face her. As he walked backwards and she continued forwards, he spoke.

"..."

She nodded and sped up a bit, not looking at any of the guards as she passed them. She stayed next to him now, depending on him to lead him to the Kage. Her eyes strayed from Matsukai as she looked at the buildings in the village. It was night still, so not many people were out, but there were still many lights on in the buildings.

Menkai knew that he had to continue on with a more serious attitude because from here on out, if anything goes wrong both him and kiyomi were dead and there would be no peaceful burial. Menkai turned back around and continued on noticing that the girl closer to him, proof that she didn't have any evil intention or just to make sure she didn't lose him on the way toward the kage building. Continuing on toward the kage building he couldn't shake the feeling he was being watched. The more he continued on the more he couldn't shake the feeling, but it was normal to be walking in his home. As the large building came up in the distance, it seem to have a silent dominance over the village. "Kiyomi, when we get there let me talk to him and then you follow up with your request." Turning his head back around, he continued on toward the building. His emotion were building up on the inside, nervousness, anger, fear. Each one was building up ontop of him. ("I can't let those out or else I will look foolish.")

Kiyomi's fingers started to shake and she grabbed hold of her backpack straps to hide that. She glanced behind them where the entrance to the village was still visible. She continued walking, turning her head forwards again as Matsukai continued walking onwards. She glanced up towards the sky to see the large moon glaring down at them as they walked the pathways. She gave a sigh before returning her gaze back to Matsukai, who now turned to her and spoke.

"..."

"Alright," she said very quietly, but loud enough for him to hear her. She kept up with him easily, never falling more than a few steps behind. Her mind was starting to race as a bunch of thoughts went through her mind. She could feel the tension in the air, and it wasn't helping her nerves at all. She had been told never to go to this village by her sensei. She had no idea why he hadn't wanted her to go here, but it must have been a good reason. Maybe coming here was a mistake... What if he declines to help me, or does something worse... Kiyomi bit her lip and nervously, her eyes started darting to the buildings on either side of them. Her paranoia was really starting to set in. Her eyes rested on Matsukai for a moment. What was he talking to that guard about? Are they planning to ambush me once I get there? Oh, what if Master Masaomi was right about this village...?

Menkai could hear her alright but it was very light and quietly, she was able to stay in step with him but the closer he got to the building the more the feeling of tension and nervousness seem to fill the air between the two of them, Menkai could only think about what this girl really was think ,could she be trying to come up with a way to kill him or was that she seem to be trying to come up with her request now. He looked up into the sky and the moon looked down upon her luster glow upon the two people.9 "Mother moon, I trust you but what if I am in wrong, i will the lives of the people of this beautiful village be on my hands.") His mind was racked with questions but again the moon had never led him wrong. Plus two of his favorite things was the moon and a girl but this girl could be a killer , and it would be his fault. Menkai was unaware of how much ground they had covered, till he placed a large foot on the stairs of the administration building. "Kiyomi stay close things are now getting serious." Menkai walked up the steps the weight in his feet slowly gaining as he got closer to the entrance, as he stared up at the large design, he stood and waited for her.
